Me, Ruby, and Yang were walking back to the dorm after Coco and Yatsu's match. We were about to walk in till I felt a hand on my shoulder, I look behind me and see the one man I was hoping not to run into, Qrow.

Qrow: Heya pipsqueak.

Ruby: Uncle Qrow.

Qrow: Hey kid. I need to borrow your boyfriend her for a moment.

Ruby: Ok see you in a bit, Wolfie.

Ruby and Yang walk in the dorm leaving me with Qrow. 

Y/n: If this is about me dating Ruby.*I raise my prosthetic* I pushed her out of the way of a beowolf that snuck up on us when I was taking her home. Resulting in me losing an arm. I'll gladly put my life on the line to keep Ruby safe and if I do die she knows how to bring me back to life.

Qrow: Yeah Oz told me about your semblance and how you can come back to life. And that you know future events. I approve of you dating her just... keep her safe.

We walk in to see Ruby and Yang setting up a video game.

Ruby: Ready to play.

Qrow: Yeah.

Timeskip

Ruby: You'll never beat me old man!

Qrow: Heh, you're nothing but talk, kid.

Yang: You can do it Ruby.

Y/n: You got this.

Game: Soaring ninja wins. Total annihilation.

Qrow: By the way. Don't ever call me old.

Yang pushes Ruby out of way and grabs the controller. I get down off Ruby's bed and check on her.

Yang: My turn.

Game: New challenger approaches.

Qrow: Now, where was I?

Ruby: You were telling us about your last mission.

Qrow: Right, right. I come across a small village in the swamps west of Mistral. Right off the bat, I knew something wasn't right.

Ruby: What were you doing there?

Qrow: I needed information. Tired from battling grimm along the way, I decided to start my search at the town's Inn. The place was crawling with low-lifes and thugs, even a few huntsmen I could only assume had been hired by less than reputable people for less than respectable jobs. And that's when it happened.

Yang: What happened?

Qrow: I was defeated by the mere sight of the Innkeeper's skirt length.

Game: Soaring ninja wins. Total annihilation. 

Yang: You are the worst.

Y/n: My turn

I gently push her out of the way and grabbed the controller from her.

Ruby: So, did both of you get in trouble with Ozpin?

Y/n: No just wanted to know about future events.

Qrow: Nah, me and Oz go way back. We're cool.

Yang: Cool for a old guy.

Game: (Character name) Wins. Complete annihilation.

Ruby: Great job Y/n.

Y/n: It's easy I am a master gamer back home.

Ruby: So, Uncle Qrow, what are you doing here anyway? I thought dad said you'd be away on a mission for, like ever.

Qrow: Well, a professional huntsman like myself is expected to get results, as soon as possible. 

Ruby: Yeah, I get that. We're pretty much pros, too.

Qrow: Oh really?

Yang: Yeah, read the news sometimes! We totally saved Vale while you were gone.

Qrow: Funny, because I heard Vale suffered a grimm attack after you almost stopped a train. But they don't give out medals for 'almost'. 

Ruby: They do and they're called silver.

Y/n: Back home they would give people awards just for participating. I honestly think it's stupid. I tried and I have gotten some medals.

Ruby: Like what?

Y/n: Let's see 3rd place in the math tournament when I was seven and 2nd place in the science fair when I was 12. And we helped take down Roman Torchwick.

Yang: Yeah he's locked up on Ironwood's ship and crime's been down ever since. That's basically a bounty mission.

Qrow: Sure, you may be acting like Huntresses, but you're not thinking like one. You really think four girls, a guy, and their friends could end all crime in a kingdom? 

Ruby: I mean, I did until you said that.

Y/n: I honestly think you can if you manage to find the criminals. But I have watched the news and I am surprised that nothing actually happened since Torchwick got caught. No crime whatsoever. They are planning something but I can't say what they're planning. And if I say anything it would put a lot of innocent people in danger because they aren't your normal terrorist group.

Qrow: Exactly, you cut off the head of a king Taijitu but now the second head's calling the shots.

Yang: Wait you told our uncle more stuff about the future then us.

Y/n: I uhh... Umm... 

Ruby: Don't you trust us Y/n?

Qrow: I'm gonna get out of here good luck pipsqueak.

He leaves the room drinking from his flask.

Y/n: I do trust you guys. It's just I... Fine Yang in the one on one matches your going up against Mercury just be careful in the end of the match. Happy, I should be more careful what I say from time to time. Now if you excuse me I need to go to Vale real quick to get something.

Ruby: Ohhh what you getting?

Y/n: I'm sorry but I can't tell you.

Ruby: Awwww why not?

Y/n: It's something for me in the future, if my plan works that is.

Ruby: Oh ok Y/n.

Yang: Thanks for the future knowledge. 

I leave and find Qrow outside the dorm drinking from his flask again.

Y/n: Hey Qrow.

Qrow: Pipsqueak I see you all good.

Y/n: Yes, I just feel a little conflicted.

Qrow: How so?

Y/n: I just don't know what to do.

Qrow: Just follow your gut, pipsqueak.

Y/n: That's what I was thinking of doing. I need you to come to Vale with me to get something and I want you to hold on to it.

We make it to Vale nearing the robotics store Silicon Valley. We didn't really talk that much on our way there. We enter and were greeted by Blix. We talk and I buy one of his best prosthetic legs for 5000 lien and leave. 

Y/n: Qrow I need you to hold on to this leg for me. I have a gut feeling that what I'm going to do I'll need it.

Qrow: Alright pipsqueak.

He takes the leg and starts leaving. I go to the bakery and grab the usual and start making my way to the Colosseum to watch the Weiss and Yang's fight. 

Timeskip after the match

We were heading down to the arena to check on Weiss to see if she's ok even though I know she's fine.

Y/n: Hey Weiss, you ok?

Weiss: Yes I'm fine.

Y/n: I'm quite sure the crowd 'erupted' after your match.

Ruby: Not now Y/n.

Y/n: Really I thought I was on 'fire' with that one.

Yang started laughing from the jokes while we were taking Weiss to the infirmary. 

Blake: What's with the jokes and puns lately Y/n?

Y/n: Let's just say I don't like what happens next. And I wanted to make some more fun and happy memories before that happens.

They saw the look in my eyes and dropped the matter. We get Weiss to the infirmary and they say she'll be fine in an hour or two. I then get a call I look and see it's Oz. And tells me to meet him at his office. I leave but not before I give a peck on the lips and she hugs me. I walk out the school's infirmary and make my to his office. On the way I joined up with 'Irondick' and Glynda we make our way up the elevator to see a confused Pyrrha.

Ironwood: Sorry we're late.

Pyrrha: Wait, what is this? Who are you?

Glynda: You know who we are.

Y/n: We are still the same people you met I'm just a recent addition to their ranks.

Qrow: Cept got ourselves a little part time job.

Ironwood: We are the protectors of this world.

Ozpin: And we need your help.

We all take the elevator down to the vault. I could tell Pyrrha was nervous on the way down.

Pyrrha: Where are we going?

Y/n: The vault under the school. Don't be so nervous Pyrrha it's going to be fine.

We make it down to the vault and it was massive it looked like a maze from all the corridors. We walk out of the elevator and Pyrrha was last to leave it.

Glynda: I'm sure you have questions.

Pyrrha: Maybe one or two.

We start walking down the main corridor.

Pyrrha: I still don't understand. You said I was next in line to receive the maiden's power. What do you mean by that?

Glynda: The maidens have existed for thousands of years. But much like in nature the seasons change. No two summers are alike. When a maiden dies her power leaves her body and seeks out a new host, ensuring that the seasons are never lost and that no individual can hold onto the power forever.

Pyrrha: So how does the power choose?

Qrow: Through a-

Y/n: It chooses by going to the last person in the previous maiden's thoughts, but it has to be a young woman. If it's a older woman like my mother- 

Back home

Mom: Achoo.

Y/n: or a guy it goes to a random woman. They hope that it's someone they can trust. I just hope the person is someone who puts others before themselves.

Pyrrha: You seem to know quite a lot about this, Y/n. I'm quite surprised they told you so much in a short time. But why tell me this now? Why not wait till I graduate?

Qrow: Honestly, we've run out of time. I don't know if you've noticed, but things are getting a lot scarier out in the world. Tensions are high. Grimm are growing stronger, more prevalent, and it's not gonna be much longer before this peace we've all been enjoying so much goes out the window.

Pyrrha: You're not talking about war?

Ironwood: Not a war between nations. 

Qrow: We can fill you in on the details once you're with us. For now all you need to know is that one of the maidens was attacked, and for the first time in history, part of her power was stolen.

We arrive at the machine that's keeping the current, but dieing, fall maiden alive. 

Pyrrha: Is that...

Ozpin: *Sighs* The current Fall maiden. Amber.

Pyrrha: She's... still alive.

Y/n: Yes but barely. The state of the art Atlas tech is keeping her stable.

Ironwood: Correct, but there is a lot about this situation which is... unprecedented.

Pyrrha: What do you mean?

Y/n: He means they don't know what will happen when she passes. 

Pyrrha: Won't her power just transfer to the next host?

Qrow: Look who's been listening.

Y/n: If it was a normal transfer yes, but with the power split they don't know if it would go to the next host or the least favorable option it going to-

Pyrrha: Her assailant.

Y/n: Correct. Which it will.

Pyrrha: How do you know?

Y/n: I know a lot of things. I know the future, her assailant, everything.

Pyrrha: Then why not tell them.

Qrow: Yeah pipsqueak.

Ozpin: *In a stern voice* Qrow. *Calm voice* Y/n, your reason why.

Y/n: At this time and throughout the Vytal festival, the timeline is the most sensitive. If I say anything or do anything to stop it, I won't know what the future will hold. So I have to let it run its course after that I'm quite sure the timeline will be solid and I can't change anything even with my knowledge. All I could do is prepare people for what will happen. 

Ozpin: Well spoken Mr. L/n. If you wish to leave you may. I won't call you anymore about future events till after the festival.

Y/n: Thank you professor. I'll leave the elevator down here for everyone.

I make a portal to Ruby and I walk through and see I'm in the dorm with only Ruby and Weiss. Weiss was resting from her fight while Ruby was reading a weapon magazine. I make my presence known by doing a quiet cough. Ruby heard and shot her head up and looked at me with her bright and happy smile.

Ruby: *Quietly* Y/n, your back. How was your talk with Ozpin?

Y/n: It was good. If you were wondering if I was in trouble, I'm fine. 

We just sat and talked to each other quietly. Eventually Blake and Yang came back and Weiss woke up. We sat talked and bonded as a team. I told them the same reason why I'm not talking about or doing anything about the future but I told them after the Vytal festival I will answer any question they have about the future. After a bit I had a memory that peaked my interest.

Y/n: Hey girls do you remember those boxes being put into that empty classroom and we thought we got a new teacher, in the first semester.

Girls: Yeah.

Y/n: I don't remember us going there at all while we were here.

Ruby: Now that you mention it, we never did go there.

Yang: Yeah same, maybe we were wrong.

Blake: They could have been cleaning it or a closet in there.

Weiss: Blake could be right about that.

Y/n: Yall want to go check it out and besides those boxes were way to big for a closet.

Ruby: Yes.

Yang: Sounds like fun.

Weiss: Could be interesting.

Blake: Ok.

We leave our dorm and go search for the classroom.

We make it to the classroom and surprisingly it was unlocked. We walk in and we notice a bunch of instruments. I walk out to check and see if there was a sign that said what or who's classroom this is. I walk back in to the confused team RWBY after I found the sign.

Y/n: It said music room. 

They just shook their heads in disbelief that a Huntsman academy would have this kind of room.

Y/n: So since we're here yall want to hear me sing. 

Ruby: Aren't you shy about your singing voice?

Y/n: I was around you four but I know yall have heard me plenty of times especially since we got back from our first mission. 

Ruby: Then yes I'd like to hear your great singing voice.

Yang: Yeah you sound good so yeah.

Weiss: I'd like to sing too, but my throat is still recovering from the fight.

Blake: I'd love to hear you sing again. It has been awhile since I heard you sing last.

I started walking to the mic and put in front of a drum set and got behind it.

Ruby: Y/n what are you doing? Are you gonna try and play that too?

Y/n: Yeah I know how to play drums from lessons I took, and... my grandfather taught my to play guitar and piano.

Weiss: You can play piano?!

Y/n: Yeah I learned at age 9 same for guitar, drums however-

I do a quick beat on them with the drumsticks.

Y/n: I learned at 12. Now can I play please?

RWBY: Yes you can.

They start clapping and they started to leave.

Y/n: Hey were you going? I still have two more songs.

Ruby: Really?

Y/n: Yeah I finished my song with drums but I'm going to sing one with the guitar and piano.

They start coming back while I got myself ready with the guitar.

I finish and I take a bow and heard more then four people clapping. I look up and see Ozpin, Qrow, and everyone from team JNPR by the door. I quickly grab my hood and pull it over my face confusing team RWBY until they heard the others behind them.

Qrow: That was a great show you put on pipsqueak.

Ruby: Oh no.

Jaune: What's wrong Ruby?

Ruby: It's Y/n he was fine singing with us in the room, since we hear him sing every now and then.

Ren: So he basically has stagefright to everyone except you four.

Yang: Yeah he does and I like the 'string' of songs he sung.

She was holding a guitar while she said that.

Pyrrha: But his singing voice sounds heavenly. Why keep it hidden?

Nora: Yeah he sounded great.

Y/n: Th-th-thanks g-guys.

Team JNPR and Qrow left soon after they finished praising my singing voice, well he didn't really praise me he just told me to try to be a bit more open with my singing. Now it is just me, team RWBY and Ozpin in the recently discovered music room.

Y/n: So Oz when and why does the school have a music room?

Ozpin: The reason behind the music room is because musical talent shouldn't be locked away even for huntsmen and huntresses. And for when it was starting to be put together after you and your team disappeared for a day. 

Everyone had a shocked expression while I faked mine, since I could guess he knew where we were that day.

Ozpin: Now your team should go and rest up for tomorrow. It is the one on one matches tomorrow.

Me and team RWBY hurried back to our dorm and got ready for bed.
