Me and Ruby are sitting on the couch eating and watching so shows to be honest they aren't to bad. It's been a month since the Fall of Beacon. Tai was out doing something I don't know what but I keep having this feeling I should go check on my mom.

Y/n: Hey Ruby you want to go check on my mom maybe see my nieces.

Ruby: Sure.

I make a portal he and we both walk in we were greeted by a sad looking Avery, Presly, and Linley.

Y/n: Hey.

Girls: Uncle Y/n, Ruby.

This got them a happy but I noticed my sister having a much more sadden expression.

Y/n: Sis what's wrong?

Ruby: Yeah what's going on?

Linley: It's mom she's been in a accident.

When I heard that I felt my world was shattering.

Y/n: What happened? Where is she?

Ruby: Is she ok?

Avery: Mom told me Gigi was in a car accident.

Linley: She's in bad shape. She's at the hospital dad works at.

Y/n: Can we go see her?

Timeskip

We are half way to the hospital I look to the left to see my sis. My eyes widen when I see a car about to hit us.

Y/n: Sis, look out.

But it was to late it hit us dead on. I blacked out from the impact.

Timeskip

I wake up in a white room I look around and see that Ruby and my nieces were in the same room as me.

Y/n: What happened?

Girls: Y/n/ uncle Y/n.

Ruby run up to me and hugged me and kissed me.

Girls: Eww.

Ruby: I'm so glad you're ok.

Y/n: Where's sis at?

Their happy expressions went straight to a sad one.

Ruby: I'm sorry Y/n. She died from the impact from what the paramedics told me.

I start crying into Ruby's shoulder while she hugged me.

Y/n: Why? Why did she have to die?

I just had a sudden thought and looked and check to see if my tail was out which it wasn't.

Ruby: What is it?

Y/n: I thought they would find my faunus features.

Ruby: Don't worry I made sure they didn't.

They the door to my room opened to reveal my dad and a doctor.

Dr.choi: I glad you're awake. I'm doctor Choi.

Andy: Y/n I'm so glad you're ok. First your mother now your sister I couldn't bare to lose you too.

Ruby: You're his dad?

Andy: Yes and who are you?

Ruby: I'm Ruby Rose, his girlfriend.

Andy: I'm Andy L/n.

Y/n: Wait dad you said you couldn't bare to lose me too, does that mean mom...

Andy: Yes she's gone.

I started crying even more and Ruby came over to comfort me again and then the girls came to hug me as well crying.

Y/n: When... will the funeral be?

Andy: I don't know maybe a week from now.

Y/n: Hey I feel fine can we go?

Andy: Yes we can. Let me go get papers signed and we can leave.

Both the doctor and dad left. I made a portal to back to Remnant once the door closed.

Ruby: Y/n what are you doing?

Y/n: I have no life left here. Avery, Presley you want to come and live there as well?

Girls: Yes.

Y/n: Let's go then.

We all go through the portal and we look and see we are outside Ruby's house. We walk inside and was immediately greeted by a worried Tai and Zwei.

Tai: Ruby, where have you been?

Ruby: I was with Y/n.

Tai looked behind her a saw me and my two nieces with sadden expressions.

Tai: Who are these two little ones?

Y/n: My nieces.

Avery pulled Presley into a hug slightly frightened by the man known as Tai.

Avery: I-I'm A-Avery Miller and this is my s-sister Presley.

Presley: Hi mister.

Tai: Hi there I'm Taiyang. Where's your mom?

They started crying again while Zwei was trying to comfort the crying children.

Tai: Oh I'm sorry for your lose. How are you holding up losing your sister or brother, Y/n?

Y/n: Sister, her name was Linley. And I'm doing worse.

Tai: How so?

I didn't say anything I just looked down with a sadden expression and walked past him to the stairs ignoring him and Ruby.

Ruby's pov

Y/n just walked upstairs ignoring both me and dad when we tried calling out to him. I guess two deaths would get to him eventually.

Tai: What's wrong with him?

Ruby: He... lost his mom too.

Tai: Oh.

Ruby: I'm gonna go check on him. 

I went upstairs when I did I saw the door to my room slightly open. I looked in and saw him on his knees with his hands together but as soon as I saw this he got up. I decided to go in.

Y/n: Hey Ruby.

He sounded emotionless it was like he wasn't there at all.

Ruby: Y/n are you ok?

Y/n: Yeah I'm fine.

I felt so hurt seeing him like this. He was always cheerful and happy like me back at Beacon. But losing two people family members and on top of losing Pyrrha and Penny a month ago it must have pushed him to the edge if not over it.

Ruby: Y/n I'm here for you. You know that, right?

Y/n: I know I just want to be left alone for now. 

Ruby: Ok, Y/n if you ever need to talk I'm here for you.

I left the room after I hugged him. When I closed the door I could hear crying. I have never seen him like this. I go downstairs and find dad playing with Avery and Presley. At least they're happy.

Ruby: Hey dad.

Tai: What is it Ruby?

Ruby: Is there anything we can do for Y/n?

Tai: He lost a mom and a sister, he just need time to mourn.

Ruby: Also could his nieces live here?

Tai: For him?

Ruby: No for them. They don't really have anything to go back to.

Tai: Ok they can stay, you should go tell him.

Ruby: He may not be ready for anyone right now. 

Tai: You should still tell him and comfort him.

Ruby: Ok 

I started making my way up there again but instead of crying I heard him singing.

I walked in after he finished and sat beside him on the bed.

Ruby: I know you miss them. I miss my mom too same goes for Pyrrha and Penny. But I know they would want us to keep going forward. They may have been taken from us too soon but they will always be right here.

I say this touching my heart and his.

Ruby: So we will never forget them.

As I finished my little speech he hugged me. I hugged back while he cried on my shoulder again.

Y/n: I n-never got a ch-chance to say g-goodbye to them.

Ruby: I'm here for you, Y/n, I'm here for you.

Y/n: Thanks Rubes I needed this.

Ruby: I also asked Dad if Avery and Presley can stay here and he said yes.

Y/n: Thanks Petals I was going to ask him that at some point.

Timeskip to the time Ruby leaves. Y/n's pov

I saw Ruby leave and I was going with her I just needed to do one thing.

Avery: Uncle Y/n why do have to go?

Y/n: I want to be with Ruby. Now I want you and your sister be good girls for Tai.

Presley: We will.

Y/n: Try and cheer Yang up too, ok bye.

Girls: Bye uncle Y/n.

I walk outside wear f/c T-shirt with my symbol, jeans and my blue cloak, with my f/c jacket for Ruby over my shoulder. I look around and noticed they were already walking down the path.

Y/n: HEY! Your forgetting someone!

I say as I run up to them slowly melting the snow with my semblance.

Ruby: I thought you were going to stay with your nieces.

Y/n: You of all people should know I'm coming with you guys. Also hers a jacket for you Petals.

I toss the jacket to her.

Ruby: Thanks Y/n.

Ren: Are we ready to set out now?

Jaune: I think so. I'm glad you can come with us.
