And so, we hurried to get party preparations ready. Most of us began to make decorations for the party, such as streamers, ribbons, and Lilac even sewed a white silk table cloth. Near didn't seem to have much interest at all though, so he excused himself to go read in his room. Kokichi only helped for maybe ten minutes before he got bored and left as well.

It was a little annoying, but I didn't think everyone would be completely on board with this plan. I decided for the time being to leave them be. In the mean time, when we got all the decorations ready, we all discussed a next course of action.

Rin volunteered to start hanging up the decorations, to which Ulric offered to help with. The two of them assured us that we could relax until the party started, which we all decided would start at around 5 o'clock. So while those two got the roller coaster room ready, we split up to do our own thing. Lilac insisted we watch some movies in our room, specifically the ones Magane suggested.

We watched a few, and I found most of the movies enjoyable, to my surprise. I guess Magane has good taste when it comes to movies.

Before we knew it, 5 o'clock had swung around, and Lilac was dragging me towards the roller coaster room. "Slow down Lilac, I can barely keep up!" I cried as she ran down the hall, gripping my wrist tightly. She only flashed me a smile before running even faster, making me attempt to go even faster.

Finally, we had arrived to the roller coaster room entrance, where most of the others were gathered. Magane looked towards us and smiled, waving to us.

"Hey, there you are! Took ya long enough!" she called. I panted as Lilac and I finally came to a pause, giving me time to catch my breath. "Oh don't say that. Lilac couldn't have rushed me anymore then she did already." I stated, still trying to not sound breathless. 

"Where's Rin? Is he not around?" Kokichi asked. "He should be in the roller coaster room. He said he was gonna set up the last of the decorations so I could rest for a bit. My shoulder hurt a bit, so he said I could relax in my room." Ulric explained. I looked towards Near, who was standing quietly away from us.

"Near, I'm surprised that you came. I thought you weren't interested in the party." I said,

"I'm not. I'm only here because I don't think it is wise for any of us to be alone." Near stated. "Yeah yeah, we gonna go in or not?! I'm ready to party!" Junko stated. "The food Rin promised better not be disappointing." Kanato stated. I walked over to the door and reached out to open it. I was honestly very excited. We were about to have a lot of fun! Maybe become closer! To show our hope in Monokuma's face!

I didn't hesitate to push the doors open, running right in....then skidded to a stop.

If only I had known of what I would witness before opening those doors.....

The utter despair.....

I couldn't believe what I witnessed. The entire room....was destroyed. All the food had been knocked to the floor, there were scratches everywhere, but what frightened me the most.....was the blood.

"Whoa, what in...." Ulric murmured. "What the hell happened here?! This place looks like a disaster!" Magane said. "Noooo the fooood!" Kokichi whined.

"I think we have much bigger problems then the fucking food, dumbass!" Mello snapped. "T-The blood....w-where did all this blood come from?" Crona said in a shaky voice, his skin growing more pale. "And...w-what do you think caused that?" Junko asked, pointing to the right side of the room.

"What about that Buffoon? Where is it?! Maybe it caused this." Magane said. "Except that thing only attacks anyone who breaks the rules, right?" Amaimon said. "Okay Ulric, spill it! What the hell has happened here! You and Rin were working on this together, weren't you?!" Mello stated.

"I told you that I left to rest my shoulder, remember?! I was definitely gone for at least an hour!" Ulric stated. I stood there in the center of the room, paralyzed with fear, with only one question on my mind.

"Guys...." everyone looked to me, and I looked back at everyone with wide eyes.

"Where....where's Rin?" I said. That was when I felt it. A wet drop on my shoulder. I tensed up before glancing at my shoulder....seeing a bloodstain on my shirt. My eyes widened even more, and I while I dreaded it greatly, I carefully craned my neck up, to look at the ceiling....and....and....

I gasped, eyes widening upon seeing Rin's body....impaled by a large, steel pipe that, on the ceiling...

"Rin....?" I murmured. Everyone else began to look up, and one by one their eyes widened and their were several gasps. "H-Holy shit! Rin! Oh my god! What the hell happened?!" Ulric exclaimed. "Masaka (no way)....h-he was murdered?!" Kanato said.

"Is finding a body really much of a surprise anymore?" Kokichi asked. "I just...never expected him to be next." Kanato stated. 

"Good point. He was the only one that didn't really piss off anyone here. You gotta admit though, the culprit sure pulled off a brutal murder." Kokichi said.

"I-I don't believe this....n-not R-Rin...w-why him?" Crona said. "Damn, you gotta have some serious guts to kill the very son of Satan." Ragnarok stated, popping out from behind Crona's back. "Dammit...." Mello growled, clenching his fist. 

"Ah good, everyone is here then!" We all perked up and whirled around, seeing Monokuma walking this way. "Monokuma? What are you doing here?" Ulric asked. "Oh, I came to pay my respects to the poor Rin Okumura! Boo-hoo-hoo!" Monokuma said, pretending to wipe away a tear before smirking, "Psych! I'm here to give ya your Monopad, obviously! If you're gonna get through another class trial, I assume you'll need it." My eyes widened.

"A-Another....class trial?" I murmured. 

"Well duh. Did ya think I was gonna let you get away with this scott free? Yeah right! Pufufufu!" Monokuma laughed. Near narrowed his eyes, seeming angry. "You are a despicable creature." he stated. 

"Why thank you for the compliment. Now, heads up!" Monokuma stated. He tossed the Monopad across the room, to which Lilac leaped up and caught it. "Alright, gotta say I'm looking forward to this next trial. I'm all sorts of curious of who ripped demon boy over there. So you better do a thorough investigation. See ya suckers!" Monokuma said. And with that, he disappeared. 

"Ugh! That damn bear! I swear I just wanna tear him to bits!" Ulric stated. "You have to wonder though, who was able to kill Rin anyways? I mean, the guy could use powerful blue flames, right? Couldn't he have killed someone immediately?" Magane said.

"That's precisely why we need to do a thorough investigation. So, lets not waste anytime. If we're going to survive, we have to find out who did this." Near stated. "Well, this room seems like as good a place as any to start." Junko stated. "That's a little obvious, isn't it?" Amaimon muttered. "Shut up! No one asked for your opinion!" Junko snapped.

I was barely keeping track of what everyone was saying. For I found myself looking back up at Rin's corpse on the ceiling. Blood continued to drip down, his limbs and tail hung lifelessly, and his eyes....his eyes were cold, and dead. They no longer held that fiery confidence and pride, but rather they were like empty voids of darkness....looking right at me....

"Huh? Violet, daijobu?" Magane asked. My legs suddenly felt weak, and my vision began to become fuzzy.

"Uh, guys, her face is turning green..." Ragnarok said. 

For some reason that sentence triggered something in me, causing my stomach to turn. Almost instantly, I felt something come up from my throat, and I quickly covered my mouth with my hands. I didn't hesitate to bolt past everyone from the room and charged down the hallway, wanting to get away from the smell of blood that hung in that room.

Luckily, there was a trash can just down the hall. Once I reached it, I ducked my head over it and....well, lets just say I completely lost my lunch. I was kneeling over the trash can for probably a full minute before I was completely done. When I was, I pulled away, wiping at my mouth. I felt a hand on my shoulder, and glanced over my shoulder.

Lilac stood beside me, looking at me with concern while holding out a small towel. I looked at her surprised before smiling. "Thank you...." I said, grabbing the towel and wiping my mouth. Soon, strength returned to my legs, and I stood up.

"Oi!" I looked behind me, and before I knew it I had caught a packet of mints. "I think you'll need those." I looked down the hallway, seeing it was Magane who gave me the mints, with Ulric walking to her side.

"Magane. Ulric." I murmured. 

"You okay?" Ulric asked. I looked away, popping a mint into my mouth. "No..." I said. Both of them walked closer to me. "Don't worry, we'll find the culprit. We've done it before, and we'll do it again." Ulric stated. "Yeah, they won't know what hit'em!" Magane stated. I looked down, eyes narrowing. I hated this. I hated this....

"Why?" the three of them looked at me puzzled.

"Why do we have to do this? Why are we forced to do this to each other? Why do we have to see our friends die?! This party was suppose to show our determination and hope! Our unity! Why would someone break that?! Why?!" I exclaimed, tears streaming down my cheeks. Lilac frowned before walking to me and hugging me. Magane looked beyond shocked, hopeless of what to do so I would calm down.

"Violet..." she said. "That's what we have to find out," we all looked to Ulric, who clenched his fist, "We have to do this for Rin. If we don't, it'll stain his name, as well as everyone else who has died so far. That's what Rin would say, right?" I looked to Ulric surprised, caught off guard by his words. Lilac nodded in agreement, smiling.

I looked to both of them before smiling, wiping my eyes. "You guys....you're right. We'll find out who did this. Together." I stated. We all nodded. I looked to Magane, who looked away quietly. I was surprised she hadn't responded. 

"....well we're not going to get anything done by standing around here. Let's do some investigating." Magane stated. She turned around and began to walk away. The three of us followed her, heading back to the roller coaster room. We'll do this. We'll find the culprit, and bring justice to Rin.

We soon approached the doors that led into the roller coaster room. I winced, hesitant to see Rin's corpse again. Ulric noticed my discomfort, and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Violet, if you want, we can investigate this room. I know you probably don't want to look at that...mess." Ulric said. "But, what else can I do? That room contains the most evidence we can look into." I stated. Magane perked up. "Alibis!" she stated. I looked at her surprised.

"Huh?" I said. "While everyone else is investigating, you can ask everyone around for alibis. You just need the time of when Rin was killed, and then you can ask everyone what they were doing at that time." she said. 

"Of course, that's a great idea! But, when was Rin killed?" I asked. Lilac smiled, and held out the Monopad she had. "Oh yeah, we do have that. Guess we should look at that before anything else." I said. I took the Monopad from Lilac, and scrolled over the information. "Rin was killed around 4 o'clock, an hour before our party was supposed to start. It is implied that the large wound in the midsection was the cause of death, however a wound in the back of his head could also be found." I read aloud.

"Okay, that feels like a little more info then usual. We might figure out how to do this." Ulric stated. 

"Alright, then how should we do this?" I asked. "Simple. The majority of us should look inside that room for as many clues as possible. While we do, Violet can take one person out of the room at a time, and interrogate them." Magane stated. 

"Does Near know about this? I think he'd wanna hear about it before we just start." I replied. I wasn't necessarily afraid of Near, but he did seem kinda like the leader of everyone here. He's taken on the most responsibility thus far, and has always led in the investigations of every murder scene.

"We'll tell him while we're inside. So wait here, okay. And we'll send people out one at a time to speak to you." Magane stated. "Um, but what if the culprit tries to harm her while she's alone? You know, in case they want to silence her or something." Ulric replied.

"Please, don't you remember her transformation at Rena's execution? No one would be dumb enough to touch her now!" Magane stated. My eyes widened, and I looked down. Was I....really seen like that? Did I pose that much of a threat? Do I scare everyone?

"Right, let's get started." Magane stated, marching into the room with confidence. Ulric followed after her. I took a deep breath, feeling nervous. I'm not sure if people notice it or not, but I'm not very good with talking with anyone. I'm always very shy, and would rather stay at home then talk to anyone. And the only time I really did 'talk' with anyone is when I would hiss out threats. And now I'm gonna be interrogating people....oh boy.

Lilac gently shoved me, giving me a reassuring smile. I looked at her surprised before smiling and nodding. Then she skipped into the roller coaster room. I awaited patiently for the first person to speak to. It was a few moments before the first person came out; Near, to my surprise.

"Violet." he said. I'm not sure what it was, but I feel like that even for a kid, he had a strange sense of authority about him. It made me want to lock up my lips and avert my gaze, like that scary boss you want to avoid at all costs. And yet I'm about to demand answers from him.

"Near..." I said. 

"I understand that you've decided to interrogate each of us for an alibi between 4 and 5 pm." he said. I cleared my throat a little before giving him a stern expression. "Yes, I am." I stated. I needed to be strong. I knew that these were my friends, but I needed to bare in mind....one of them is the culprit. It could be anyone, including Near.

"I see. Well, I for one encourage this idea. However, if you wish to interrogate me, then I only ask for one condition; that you tell me your alibi as well." he stated. I nodded.

"Of course. I was with Lilac in our bedroom watching some movies." I replied. "Only you and Lilac?" Near asked. I nodded. "Yes. That's correct." I stated. I made sure to speak with complete honesty. It was the truth after all. Near nodded before twirling a strand of his hair.

"Very well. Then I suppose I shall share my alibi. I was in the cafeteria at the time being, reading a book that I discovered in my bedroom. It shared information on previous killing games Monokuma had hosted, to which I suspected would be of some use in the event of another murder we would need to investigate." Near explained.

"I see. Did anyone see you while you were doing this?" I asked. 

"Yes. Mello came in around 5:05 to ask where Amaimon was at. When I told him I wasn't aware of Amaimon's location, he just grumbled and left." Near said. 

"Hmm..." I thought, placing a hand on my chin. What would Mello need to talk to Amaimon about? I mean, maybe its not even that important. But still, its something I should keep in mind.

"Thank you, Near. I think that'll be it for now." I stated. Near nodded. "Best of wishes to your interrogations....for our lives might depend on them." he said as he turned his back to me. I tensed up as he walked into the roller coaster room, leaving me speechless.

Our lives depend on this....
