"Rin! Yamete! You have to calm down! Onegai!" I called out. Rin ignored me, growling. His face looked entirely different. As if....a beast had been unleashed. I began to think frantically of what to do. If he keeps this up, he'll burn everything down. With a foolish decision in mind, I ran towards him.

"Oi Violet! Are you insane?! Get back!" Zack called out. I ignored him and went to Rin. Before my mind realized his shoulders were in flames, I placed my hands on them, only to cry out as they got burned and pulled them away.

Rin gasped, looking at me. His eyes widened as the anger and aggression faded away. Almost instantly, the flames in the room faded away, leaving only a few burn marks within the room. I perked up.

"Rin." I said. He looked away in shame, a shadow casting over his eyes.

"Hey! What's going on?! What the hell was that blue light just now?!" Ulric called from outside the gate, followed by banging. I took a few steps towards Rin, reaching a hand out to him. "Rin...." he gently pushed my hand away and turned to face the gates, pulling them open. Everyone else was looking at us wide eyed as Rin, Zack and I stepped out of the Saiguden.

"What the hell happened in there?! What was with all the shouting?" Mello demanded. I looked to Zack and Rin, who were both looking away from each other in irritation, and I let out a sigh. "Nandemonai...." I muttered. 

"You can't really think we'll believe that." Kanato stated. I looked up at him. "No, I didn't." I replied. They don't have to think nothing really happened, they just have to drop the whole thing. Kanato seemed to catch onto that, and let out a sigh as he looked away. The sound of the gate closing behind me caused me to turn around, seeing Rena's back turned to us. 

"You fools...." Rena murmured, "You have damaged the belongings of this Saiguden, insulting the great Oyashiro-sama." 

"What did I say before, huh? I don't believe in your shitty god!" Zack snapped. Rena slowly turned to face us, and a shiver crawled down my spine as she looked at us.

There was an eerie moment of silence....until Zack looked away.

"Tch, Oyashiro-sama can kiss my ass...." he muttered as he turned away and began to walk down the hallway. My eyes widened and I watched as he walked away. "Zack wait!" I called, but he didn't even look back. I frowned, looking away. Then I turned to face Rin, who was still silent. "Rin?" I said. 

"What was the light show in there, anyway? Don't tell me you guys were having a party or something without inviting us!" Magane said. "....I just lost control for a moment, that's all." Rin replied. "Lost control? Of what? Your temper? We all have on, big deal." Junko replied bluntly.

"No, he means his flames." Amaimon stated. Ulric looked at him curiously. "His flames?" he said.

"It should explain perfectly clearly in his profile." Amaimon said. That's right, I read his profile before, but only briefly. What did it say again? I pulled out my tablet and looked at it, with Lilac peeking curiously over my shoulder. I scrolled through till I found Rin's profile, reading it over. As my eyes scanned over the words.....I inhaled sharply.

He's....the son of Satan.

While apparently Satan has quite a few spawn, including Rin's half brother Amaimon, Rin was the only one who obtained Satan's ability to control deadly blue flames. Rin has been trying to become a exorcist so he could clear his name as Satan's son and kill Satan.

"Masaka...." I murmured. I looked to my hands, seeing the light shade of red as the small burns began to form. I was burned....by the very flames of Satan.

I looked up at Rin surprised as he looked down in shame. Then he walked down the opposite hallway then the one Zack stomped away from. "Rin!" I said, reaching a hand out...but he didn't look back. 

"Well, this entire experience was certainly interesting~" Kokichi stated with a smile.

I sighed as I sat in the dining hall alone, looking down at the glass of water I had prepared for myself. However, I couldn't even find the motivation to raise the cup to my lips. My mind kept wandering back to what happened on the second floor. Those blue flames.....I can't believe we have a literal spawn of Satan with us.

But, Rin seems to be a nice guy. He's always had on a bright smile, and would always tell us to hold onto hope. Just like Nagito really. I bet, if Nagito stayed around for a little longer.....those two would've made really good friends. 

"Well this is kinda sad," I perked up, looking behind me to see Junko walking towards me, "sitting here all alone, staring at a water cup. What's up with you?" she asked. I sighed, looking away from her.

"Nandemonai (Nothing)." I replied.

"That's a bunch of hooey." Junko stated. She sat in the seat across from me, resting her head in her palms as she put on a smile. "You gotta cheer up. So we're in kinda a sucky situation. But acting all depressed isn't gonna change anything, or make anything better. You'll just end up bumming everyone out."

"So you think we can escape, then?" I asked.

"Ha! Hell no! Want my true opinion? We're all absolutely fucked! I should know, I designed these exact scenarios in my universe, almost wiping out humanity! It was fucking insane!" Junko stated, laughing afterwards. I frowned. "Then, why do you seem so cheerful?" I asked. 

"It's obvious isn't it? You must've read my profile, right? I'm a hardcore bitch that loves to get her hands dirty if it means that we get a little more despair in our lives! I was even willing to execute myself for that kind of despair!" Junko stated. As she spoke, her eyes slowly got wider, and her smile spread across her face.

"Yes, I remember. You did bring about a horrible event.....the most Devastating Despair Inducing event of all mankind." I said. Junko looked over at me curiously, head tilted. 

"Although, I read about you and your sister, and didn't really come across much. It just says that your twins, and that your apparently something called Shadow Meisters, whatever the hell that is. Mind enlightening me a bit more about your past?" Junko asked.

"There's not much else to say...." I lied. 

"Aww come on! Please! I'm so curious now!" Junko whined. I looked up at her, then looked away. A girl who enjoys despair....I never even imagined that kind of person existed. I wonder.....

"Speaking of, where is your twin? I mean, don't you freak out if she's all alone?" Junko asked. "Oh, Magane said she'd spend some time with her." I replied. "And you don't think Magane will hurt Lilac? I mean, that girl has all kinds of bad aura around her. Not that I don't like that about her." Junko replied.

"I am not so worried. Sure, Magane may definitely seem....suspicious. But for some reason I can't see her harming anyone. Besides, I trust her more than Kokichi. Now he.....he seems like all kinds of trouble." I admitted.

"Damn right! That little shit seems to like watching us struggle! Pisses me off a little." Junko stated. The sound of the door opening behind us made me look back, eyes widening to see Magane enter the dining hall....alone.

"Oh? Hey guys! Didn't expect to see you here." she said. Junko stood up. "Magane! So glad you're here! I'm bored as hell!" she stated. I stood up as well, but not out of excitement. "Where's Lilac?" I asked. Magane blinked, seemingly puzzled.

"Huh?

"Lilac! You said you were going to watch over Lilac!"

"....I did? Oh yeah! I did, I did! Sorry, but that was a lie. I left her on the second floor." Magane replied. 

"You what?!" I snapped. "Cold." Junko replied. I sighed, placing a hand on my forehead. "Dammit Magane, you realize what's up there?! An art room, full of tools that she could use to harm herself! And a science room full of dangerous chemicals! You think she really won't get any ideas?!" I said.

Magane blinked, opened her mouth to speak, but I rushed past her and ran towards the stairs leading to the second floor. I spotted the stairs up ahead, practically flew over them, and skidded to a stop once I got to one of the hallways. 

"Lilac!" I called out. Of course I got no response. I facepalmed. "Of course, this is Lilac we're talking about! She's not gonna talk back!" I thought aloud. 

"Yeah, especially if she's dead." I jumped, looking back to see Junko and Magane following me. "You guys followed me?" I said.

"Duh! I wanna see if there's a new corpse!" Junko stated. I sighed. "How reassuring...." I muttered sarcastically. 

"Oh, there she is!" Magane said, pointing past me. I perked up and whirled around, seeing Lilac was indeed down the hallway. She was peeking her head out of the garden room, looking at us innocently. She gave a small smile and waved.

"Lilac! There you are! Geez, how long have you been alone? What have you been doing this whole time?!" I demanded. Lilac gestured with her finger for us to come into the room, then disappeared inside. "Lilac! Ugh..." I muttered, marching towards the door and entering the garden, with Junko and Magane following right behind me.

"What is it that you want to show us so badly-" however I inhaled sharply, stopping dead in my tracks. By the large tree in the right side of the room, two things stuck out from the grass.....

"Whoa...." Junko murmured, eyes widening in surprise. Magane tilted her head, slowly walking closer to the two crosses and kneeling down.

"Lilac, did you make these?" she asked. Lilac smiled and nodded. "Guess that is possible with the art room right across the hall. They're kinda cute." Magane replied. Junko smiled. "Yeah, if I had one, I'd want it to be pink though." she said. 

"That ribbon...." I murmured, looking to the one on Johannes's cross. No doubt that was his sister's ribbon, along with the bag of Monokuma chips at the base. 

"Think its smart to leave those Monokuma chips where they are? I mean, anyone can just nab them and use them to snag one of those weapons." Junko replied. "I dunno, I think they're alright here for now. We might all be crazy here, but I doubt any of us would disrespect a grave." Magane replied.

I smiled, feeling warmth in my heart. Lilac always did know how to think of others before herself. Even if they are beyond the world of the living, she still finds time to show them kindness....

Later, just before dinner, Near had us gather by the first floor, showing us the small monitor that was beside Junko's dorm. 

"Okay, want to explain why you brought us here? And where's Mello at?" Amaimon asked. "As I said before, I had a theory as to what this machine even was. I brought all of you here to show you what it does." Near replied. He turned to the small monitor, and pressed a red button beside it. We all surrounded him, waiting to see what would happen. Suddenly the monitor turned on, and we were all shocked to see Mello's face on it.

"Near? You hear me? This thing is working, right?" Mello asked. "Indeed. We can see and hear you just fine." Near stated.

"Wait, is that actually connecting to the second floor monitor?" Rin asked. "Yes. These monitors appear to be some sort of communication device between this floor and the second floor." Near replied. 

"That's awesome!" Kokichi suddenly said, eyes sparkling. He shoved Near and looked to Mello. "Hellooooo Mello! We read ya loud and clear!" he shouted. Mello grimaced and raised a hand to one of his ears. 

"Yeah, I can hear you just fine too, ya know. Dimwit...." Mello stated. 

"Indeed," Near said, clearly trying to push aside his irritation, "but it appears these monitors not only allow us to communicate from both floors. It seems we can also record our conversations on the monitors, and save them."

"Huh, so we can actually record our conversations? Interesting. I wonder why Monokuma would install such a device." Amaimon said. "You're guess is as good as mine." Ulric said. 

"If I had to take one guess, it would be to 'make things more interesting'." Zack muttered, rolling his eyes. I glanced back at Rena. She was silent the whole time, and still held a dark look in her eyes. Crona looked at her in concern. Eventually Rena began to walk away, causing Crona to perk up and followed her in a hurry.

She seemed pretty upset earlier. I hope she'll be okay.

Before I knew it, morning was upon us. I was already walking with Lilac to the dining hall. As we entered the room, everyone briefly glanced at us before most of them resumed their meals. 

"Ohiyo! (Good morning!)" Magane called. I smiled and nodded. "Ohiyo." I murmured. Lilac ran past me and sat herself beside Amaimon and Kanato, immediately snuggling up with the vampire boy. Said boy sneered and looked away. "Just what are you doing? Why do you continue to pester me?" he asked. 

"You could be a little nicer, ya know. She just likes you is all." Rin replied. I nodded and sat at the table beside Rena, who looked a lot peppier today than yesterday. 

"Ohiyo Violet! Did you sleep well?" Rena asked. I perked up, somewhat surprised. However I smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I did. You certainly seem....more like yourself." I replied. Rena gave a slightly guilty expression before looking down at her plate. "I got too carried away yesterday. I didn't mean to act so strange. Dakara, I plan to apologize to Zack when he gets here." Rena stated.

"Yeah, she was nice enough to forgive me for yesterday too." Rin replied. "Really? That's great! I'm glad everyone seems better." I replied. I looked around the table, but frowned when I saw Crona. He had a shadow cast over his eyes, and he was barely eating.

"Crona? You okay?" I asked. Crona perked up, looking over at me. I noticed he had small bags under his eyes. However, he just put on a smile. 

"Fine....I'm fine. Just didn't sleep well is all." he replied. I narrowed my eyes a bit, not feeling quite satisfied with his response....

"By the way, speaking of Zack, anyone know where he is?" Rin asked. "Probably causing some sort of trouble elsewhere. He always seems to be doing so." Kanato stated. "Uh, maybe we should try to find him. I mean, it wouldn't be good if-" however, Ulric was suddenly interrupted by a loud booming sound. That made all of us jump, immediately shooting our heads up at the ceiling.

"What the hell was that?!" Junko snapped.

"Sounded like it was from the second floor." Mello said. "Come on, we should investigate!" Near stated. He led the way as we all hurried to the second floor, running up the stairs and greeted to the hallway. However, I gasped at the scene I saw.

"W-What the....is that blood?!" Rin said, eyes widening. "Uh oh, this doesn't look good." Kokichi chirped, but he didn't sound like he cared in the least.

"Guys....I smell smoke." Ulric said. I looked to farther down the hallway....seeing one of the doors did indeed have smoke peeking through the cracks, with a bright blue light coming from below. "There! In the garden!" I stated. I rushed towards the door.

"Wait Violet, hold on!" Ulric said. He followed me as I swung the door open and ran inside. He was right behind me, but we both came to an instant stop as a wave of heat blasted onto us. I shielded my eyes momentarily before forcing myself to see the scene before me.

"M-Masaka!" I cried.

"F-Fire! There's a fire in here!" Ulric called out. The blue flames seemed to grow more intense, and I winced as the heat got stronger. Ulric grabbed me by the shoulders and pulled me away. "Stay back Violet!" he stated. 

"But....but I see something in there!" It was true. Just in the core of the flames, I could barely make out the shadow of some sort of figure. What was it, I wasn't sure. Suddenly Rin rushed in, holding a fire extinguisher.

"Get back!" he shouted. He rushed in front of us and used the extinguisher, spraying all the flames. I watched as the white foam began to slowly eat away the flames, and I gave a couple coughs from the smoke that hung in the air. Ulric did the same, covering his nose slightly.

"Yeesh, what the hell happened?!" Junko said, entering the room. "What caused this fire?" Mello demanded, coming inside as well. As more of the group entered the room, a different aroma filled the air. One that felt too familiar to me.....

"No...." I pulled away from Ulric's grasp and ran towards the pile of burnt wood....eyes slowly widening at what I saw before me.....once again met with utter despair.....
