COMIC CON
OKAY Y'ALL THIS CHAPTER IS GONNA BE A RIIDDDDEEEE
So long story short my mom got comic-con tickets for our birthdays—my 16th and her 50th, so like milestones, so we kinda splurged.
The con was in Chicago, so we stayed Friday night at our grandparent's in Wisconsin and then drove to the suburbs, took the subway into Chicago, and did the same thing on the way back out. (We were there all day Saturday)
And we decided to cosplay! I went as Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes and my mom went as Scarlet Witch.
And so I have pictures.

OKAY STORY TIME SO this dude (stove_cosplay on Instagram, go check him out) was so great, his cosplay was spot-on and he was super nice and chatted with us on our way in to the con and took pictures despite my being an awkward shy potato. I also really appreciate the fact that he committed to carrying around a jar of dirt labeled "Bucky" all day so
oH there was also this super great Dr. Strange, he was super nice and a lot of fun too :D
ALSO I GOT ART. I regret nothing buying these. The top one is by Jason Palmer (@/jasonpalmerart on Insta) and the bottom two are by @/briannacherrygarcia on Instagram (go check both of these people out, their art is stunning!!)
Also, the panels were so fun. There was one with Chris Evans, Lee Pace, and Karen Gillan and that panel was great. I felt bad for Chris though because the poor guy seemed so anxious and nervous and was kinda being self-deprecating and I just wanted to run up and give him a hug and let him know how much we care and appreciate him.
We did get an autograph from Karen Gillan (a gift for my uncle so no pic, privacy reasons) and HER ACCENT IS SO PRETTY. I heard it and went "what?! It's so pretty?!!" And she was so nice and was super polite and sweet and I don't remember a lot of it because I got lost in her radiance so uh
There was a panel with Matt Smith later in the afternoon and he was so amazing!! The first time he said "bloody hell" in his adorable British accent I almost squealed because it was so cute. He also sang "happy birthday" to a fan and I have it on video and it's amazing.
AND ONE OF THE BEST PARTS:
PHOTO OP WITH CHRIS
He looks tired in this photo but I honestly love it because he was so nice and I appreciate the time he took out of his schedule to come to Chicago and be at the con like all weekend so I find it's perfectly reasonable for him to be tired. He was taller than I was expecting and I glanced up for a split second then back down because I was a nervous wreck and if I didn't look away, I would've been staring and I didn't want that to happen so uh yeah. But he was so sweet and said "hi" and put his arm around our waists and I almost cried for like the third time that day so
It was a very good day.
So uh, yeah. That's about it. That was my adventure at ComicCon Chicago.
