Zed POV

As I arrived at school, I looked around and saw Eliza with her Tech club, Bonzo with Bree feeding each other, but I didn't see Wyatt and his pack.

I checked my Z-band and saw that I had enough time to check for Wyatt in some of the places I thought he would be at.

I walked to the football feild, the cafeteria, the gym, his locker, even the boys bathroom and locker room but nothing.

I checked my Z-band again and saw that I only had a minute to get to class on time.

I sprinted through the few students in the hallway who were also in a hurry and once I entered the classroom and sat at my desk, the bell rang.

I sighed relieved and while I was grabbing my books and writing utensils for class, I checked for Wyatt and surely enough he was at his desk paying attention to the teacher.

As class went on, I tried my hardest to talk to him. I passed a note to him which he threw away, I whispered his name throughout class various times which he always ignored and annoyed those around, and when the teacher assigned us a group project and said that we could choose our group, I was heading towards Wyatt when I saw him immediately behind his pack who stared at me viciously.

I backed away with a frown and my curiosity growing as I heard my name being called by one of my zombie friends asking me if I could join their group and of course I did.

As we were working on our assignments, I constantly glanced at Wyatt seeing him concentrated and only one time did he catch me staring at him and when he did he held it for some time until one of the wolves looked at what he was looking at, growled at him to get back to work, and the wolf seemed to give me another vicious stare.

I gave up for the time being and started actually working and concentrating on the project with my group. Once the bell rang, I quickly grabbed my things and headed in Wyatt direction. I started to jog to him while calling his name when he turned a corner.

I ran faster hoping he wasn't far when suddenly I was pushed to the ground when I reached it. I landed with my air coming out of me and I glanced up to see the wolves. I saw that Wyatt was behind them with his head down looking away from me. When they noticed I was looking at him, they moved in front to avoid me from seeing him.

"Listen zombie," Willa declared with a harshness in her voice, "I'm only going to say this once so actually pay attention." She knelt down in front of me while continuing, "You are never allowed to see or talk to Wyatt ever again, you understand, no communication between the both of you?"

"Willa why are you doing, " I said standing up and looking slowly upwards as she stood as well, "Is this because of what happened at the lake because I promise I wo-"

"How can I believe the words of Zed, a hypocritical zombie who wants everyone to change who they are to be able to "fit in," when no one wants to."

Before I could even respond, they walked away with Wyatt away from my reach. I stood there in complete shock as the bell rang and students rushing by.

I went home and sulked for the rest of the day. Zoey asked me how the talk was but I didn't answer back, just sighed, and she knew she had to leave me alone for me to not get frustrated or even more sad than I already was.

When dad came home early, he asked us how our days went. Zoey excitedly told him everything as they both started to make dinner. When dad asked me, all I said was that it was ok.

At my response, they both looked toward with a worried look because the last time i said this was when mom died and they both knew how close I was to her.

For the rest of the night, it was quiet other than the small conversations Zoey and dad had until he told us to go to sleep.

I went up to my room, not bothering to change into my pajamas or brush my death, and immediately went to sleep.

When morning came, I smiled thinking of Wyatt then remembered what happened yesterday and immediately came the frown. I got ready for school and walked Zoey to her school along with seeing the wolves dropping of the werepups and waving them goodbye with a smile until they saw me and instantly their expressions turned the exact opposite and they started to walk away from me with Wyatt in front of them.

I followed them since we were headed in the same direction and occasionally they looked back and gave me a look that obviously meant to not come closer or they'd kill me, but I kept my distance the same throughout the whole way.

When we arrived at school, I went inside and grabbed my stuff from my locker and the wolves headed to class. I closed it as I heard a voice call my name.

"Zed!"

I looked at my right and saw Addison walking towards me with her confident posture and loving smile.

"Hey Addy."

"What's with the long face?"

"Well I can't talk to Wyatt anymore."

"Why not?"

"Well yesterday I was hanging out with him and we were having a pretty great time when out of now where Willa appears all mad and takes Wyatt away from me. I didn't want him to get in even more trouble because of me so I went home and Zoey and her friend asked me what was wrong and I told them and they said that I should have talked to them so that's what I tried to do, but whenever I tried to communicate with him in anyway he would either ignore me or one of his wolf friends would just give me a look, not a good one tho. When that class was over I saw Wyatt turn a corner and when I was about to call his name again, I was pushed to the ground-"

"Why would he do that, did he say anything to you?"

"He wasn't actually the one who pushed me."

"Then who was it?"

"It was Willa, but she only did that because she didn't want me to come near Wyatt-"

"But she didn't have to push you, and why did she anyway?"

"She said that I'm not allowed to talk to Wyatt, she told me I was a hypocrite, and she said that I wanted to change people to fit in."

Without responding, Addison walked away with a face of determination. I quickly followed after her.

"Where are you going?"

"Going to talk to Willa."

"Addison, I know you're mad but that doesn't mean that what you say is going to change her mind-"

"Oh it will Zed," she looked at me with a grin,"you'll see."

As I was about to respond, the bell rang and I headed for class anticipating what Addison would say to Willa that would certainly cause something to happen.
