"Leo! You up yet?" Piper called out as she shook her friend's clothed shoulder. Leo groaned, hiding her head under the warm blanket cocoon surrounding her legs, chest, and arms. Piper rolled her eyes and shook Leo by the shoulder again but more roughly. Leo huffed from under the blanket.
"No. Too early." She murmured, nose wrinkling as Piper sighed before pulling the blanket off her body. "AH, too cold!" Leo protested as Piper tugged at her ankle.
"Get up. We don't need a repeat of me dragging you into the sea before getting Percy a few minutes later, do we?" Leo shuddered and flinched.
"I'm up, Beauty Queen." She said loudly, slowly rising up like a vampire out of its coffin. Yawning, the Latina popped her wrists. Rolling them and then lifting her arms up. Piper watched her friend in suspicion.
"Good, we're having a breakfast meeting. Coach said to do anything to wake you up." Leo laughed sleepily. Shaking her head before taking her legs off of the mattress and letting them hang down the bedside. The cold air surrounded Leo's bare knees. She was only in a thick strapped grey tank top, a short sleeves beige button up, and black plaid boxers.
"Figures." Leo shrugged, shivering as her feet made contact with the ships cold floors. "You'd think I'd remember to install a heater below the floorboards of the sleep quarters." She commented to herself under her breath. Quickly dismissing Piper's questioning look when she turned to her. Piper smiled at her while opening the door.
"Get dressed quickly, flame boy, it's your turn to make breakfast since the plates still aren't working. Hazel's mist voo-doo made their magic inactive. Coach said it should only last until tomorrow though. So you won't have to cook anything more if you don't want to." Piper explained before closing the door to Leo's room. Leo bit her lip, flame boy was not what she was longing to be called today. Especially with the feeling of wrong dwelling in her gut. She glanced to the dresser, she had gotten the chance to put a few "feminine" clothing items in her drawers. But, how would the Argo II crew react?
Leo hesitantly reached to her dresser drawers. Her fingertips touching a wooden knob before pulling back. Her hands were heating up, and the wood had been burned in her anxious mindset as she reached out. Clutching her hands to her chest, Leo bit her lip. No matter how much she desired to dress in a nice blouse that would be covered in oil and grease, along with a skirt, she wouldn't right now. No, actually she couldn't. She had already lost most foster families due to her. . . thing, she wouldn't lose them too.
Opting for a pair of ripped blue jeans and keeping the tops she had on, Leo headed out to the kitchen.
Nico was in the kitchen, sitting on a counter. "Hey," the Italian greeted. Leo sent him a wave, mutely greeting him as she walked to the only fridge the ship had. She opened it and grabbed a few items. Nico observed silently, listening with a small smirk as Leo began humming. Her voice was smooth and mellow. The melody leaving her lips in a soft singing voice, cracking eggs in a bowl as she did so. "So, Death Breath, are you just going to watch me cook or help?" Despite Nico giving Leo chills, she felt a bit bad for him. He was a loner, and speaking from experience, no loner ever really wanted to be alone.
Nico looked at her surprised. "U-uh. Okay." He stammered awkwardly. His pale face looking sunken when his eyes had widened at Leo's question. He hesitantly got off the wooden counter, flinching as a splinter inserted itself into his hand. "Will you grab me the whisk, Neeks?"
Nico paused, "Don't call me Neeks." He ordered, reaching for the whisk Leo had requested.
Percy entered the kitchen as Leo had put the scrambled egg mixture in a pan. His hair was messy and he came in without a shirt. Leo watched Nico blush and turn away quickly. Rolling her eyes at the son of Hades obvious crush and Percy's oblivious nature toward people's feelings toward him. Never the other way around.
"Get your chest away from my eggs." Leo ordered as she flicked a piece of raw mix and hardening egg at him. Percy dodged with a laugh. "Yeah, yeah. Join us with the food when you're done" He mentioned before leaving.
"You coming?" Leo asked Nico as she put the eggs on a large plate.
Nico nodded and followed her out.
