An open field surrounded by wildflowers, that's where you felt peace. The soft breeze as it brushed along your face was tranquil, as well as the blades of grass and flower petals.

But what you made you feel more at peace, was the tall blonde woman laying down beside you. Her dark eyes staring up at the clouds as her hand was entwined with yours.

Her lithe fingers rubbed against the back of your hand, putting your nerves to rest as she only lay inches away from you.

She watched the clouds above with minimal interest. Her sole focus making sure you were relaxed.

"So, how long do you suppose we've got left out here?" She turned her head towards you as she asked the question.

You had your eyes closed, but you answered her nonetheless.

"I'd say about an hour or so. Most of the Scouts aren't usually up at this hour." You said, taking a deep breath.

You and Yelena had snuck out just as dawn was approaching on the horizon, hoping to catch the sunrise together before you both were separated for the rest of the day

This was your first time taking her to your favorite spot, and you were thinking of taking her here more often.

The field was located on the far Eastside of Wall Rose, a good distance away from anyone living nearby.

Despite that, though, you knew it was inevitable that some of your friends would fine you, since they visited this spot quite frequently, too.

Yelena slowly let go of your hand, sitting up and leaning on her forearms, the fresh rays of sun hitting her pale face, making her seem almost ethereal.

You gazed at her side profile. To you, she was gorgeous, a goddess even.

You saw Yelena smirk. "You don't have to stare, darling. I know I'm pretty, but come one, you'll make me blush." She sent you a flirtatious grin, making you look away from her, heat rising to your cheeks.

"Oh, shut up." You grumbled.

The blonde let out a soft laugh, laying down next to you, now on her side with one hand resting under her head.

She poked your cheek with her free hand, smiling at your antics.

"Come on, babe, don't be pouty with me now. You were just being so cute." She turned your head to face her, seeing your lips sticking out in a soft pout.

Yelena glanced at your lips for a second before leaning her head towards you and pressing them to hers in a soft kiss.

You stalled for a moment before kissing her back, your arm wrapping around her shoulders, entangling your fingers into her short hair.

Yelena sighed through her nose before pulling you against her own body, rolling over on the grass to where you were on top of her, your legs straddling her hips.

She now wrapped both of her arms around your waist, trying to rid of any possible distance between you two.

Finally pulling away for needed air, Yelena gazed up at you, a dreamy look on her face.

From where she was laying on the ground, she could clearly see how the sun haloed around your form, bathing you in an ethereal light.

That's what you were, her light. In her darkest moments, when she wasn't or didn't feel like herself, you were there to guide her back to reality.

Although, it was sad to say that your light hadn't fully quite reached her yet, and it'd take awhile to do so, she appreciated it. You were there for her, as she you.

Pushing your hair away from your face, Yelena pressed a kiss to your forehead before slowly sitting up, you in her lap.

"We should probably head back now, wouldn't want to wait until the wrong moment to go, since we wouldn't want to get caught." Her hands ghosted over your thighs, causing goosebumps to freckle across your skin.

You nodded, standing up and grabbing Yelena by the hand, helping her stand as you both then made your way to the horse you had taken to get here.

The blonde looked down at your conjoined hands, a wistful smile coming into her face as you led her along.

Her life seemed a whole lot easier with you in it, and she hoped it'd stay that way.

This world was cruel, but also very beautiful.

And you were her world.
