Chapter 1
Listen to the song while reading this because it adds to the drama lol.
The sun glistened down on the wide open ocean, three pelicans flew high in the sky as they headed towards their destination. In one of the pelicans were four specially trained spartan soldiers, one of them had deep grey armour with a golden visor. The other three were different colours, one of them was blue, one was green and another purple. The grey who was leader of the squad looked down at the wide blue ocean, deep in thought she barely heard the others talking to her.
"Umm you ok Captain Donna?" The one in the Red armour asked, shaking the thoughts away she nodded.
"Of course I am Sargent Reed," she shouted over the loud noise of the engine and the jets on the pelican, the driver of the pelican turned slightly to tell them something.
"Drop sight is just ahead get ready," she called before slowing the pelican slightly, the grey armoured captain gave a slight laugh.
"You guys ready to go free falling without a parachute," she joked over the com, the others gave her a nod as now they were flying over an island. Below there was bullets and plasma shots flying everywhere, Donna jumped out of the pelican once they were behind cover.
"So what exactly are we doing here again?" Mike asked, his dark blue armour made darker by the shadows.
"Ok so there is a large door over there that we need to get through in order to get into a series of hallways and finally into a room the is supposedly filled with covenant and some artefact, do I think our fearless leader is wrong, no, now we are to eliminate all of the covenant, get the artefact then get our asses back to base, doesn't sound too hard does it?" Donna joked meaning most of it, they all nodded so pulling our her gun she stood ready to jump.
"NOW NOW NOW!" Mike shouted as he began to shoot at the ugly aliens, Donna leapt out from behind shelter and began to shoot her way towards the doors. She ducked behind a nearby tree as a large blast shoot at her only just missing both her and the tree, then she turned and began to shoot her way forwards again. She noticed with great fear at how her ammo was soon out and all she could use were her daggers she had brought along, shaking the fear away she ran towards the enemy always shifting from one place to another as to not get shot. She soon got close to a tall grey armoured covenant and jumped on its back, giving a shout of rage it tried hard to get her off. Stabbing the blade into its neck it dropped to the ground, its odd bluish green blood splattered everywhere as she pulled the blade out. Quickly she dodged to the side as a plasma shot went straight past her face, her AI made a shield form around her as a plasma grenade came flying towards her. With a bang the shield went down sending her flying backwards, holding her head she got behind cover.
"What the hell Omega!?" She shouted at her AI, as she shouted a purple AI appeared next to her.
"Sorry Donna you know I have some malfunctions with the shield," she pointed out, she then vanished and Donna stood to run. She ran into something very tall with golden armour, reaching for her blade it kicked her backwards. It then grabbed her by the neck, she kicked and struggled to get free but the covenants grip was far too strong to escape without her weapons.
"You are coming with me worthless human," it ordered its grip never loosening, it began to drag her towards a strangely shaped ship. Struggling all the way to the ship Donna refused to be taken, but as before her struggles failed to get her free.
"DONNA!!!!" Mike shouted over the com link, all of her friends watched as the golden armoured covenant general dragged her onto the strange ship.
"You guys continue the mission without me ok, I don't know how long these freaks plan to keep me alive for but I know for a fact I have something they want or need so go quickly before they get their hand on the art......." she choked through the com link but it was cut short by the ship going into a slip space drive and vanishing to who knows where, she grunted as the general covenant threw her into a holding cell.
"Shipmaster is looking forward to meeting you so be respectful or we will not hesitate to kill you, the only reason we don't is because he has requested your presence, we will arrive there shortly," he grunted before walking away, Donna gave a soft sigh and sat up leaning against the back wall. Suddenly the whole ship seemed to shift, Donna knew that they had gone through another slip space portal. Her AI appeared standing on the floor next to her, she looked up at Donna glitching slightly.
"What do you want omega?" Donna grumbled as she stared at the roof, Omega glitched a few more times before speaking.
"May I ask what is bothering you?" Omega asked in a slightly glitchy voice, Donna let out a sigh.
"I may never see the others again Omega, they were like family to me and I can't bare to lose them," Donna choked out, footsteps sounded outside the door. The door suddenly opened to reveal two hunters, they slowly shoved her out of the room and down a series of hallways. Soon they entered into another much larger covenant ship, omega vanished as they arrived at a strange room inside the ship. The door closed behind Donna and the hunters stood outside, the general arrived not long after and bowed down to a rather strange throne shaped chair. Instinctively she bowed down as well as to not lose her head, a hand appeared and beaconed them to both stand.
"Ahh so my trusted general returns, and who might this be?" Came a deep echoing voice, the general stood and looked at Donna.
"I gathered intel from many many resources and all point to this one spartan as the best warrior," the general half mumbled half shouted, a nod came from the chair.
"We shall see, tomorrow at dawn she is to tested against our finest warriors," the shipmaster murmured, the general shoved her back towards her temporary cell. Giving a grunt she fell to the floor and the door shut behind her, she sat up against the wall refilling her pistol which she had forgotten about willing to use any weapon necessary to win. She sat there for a while thinking of her friends, a sudden voice sounded on her com link.
"Donna.......... Donna come in, do you read me?" Came the voice of her lost friends, it sounded glitchy but she didn't blame it.
"I read you mike not loud or clear but I read you," she replied quickly, a sigh came from the other end.
"Oh thank god we thought they killed you," came the relieved sigh of Mike, Donna gave a giggle before going quiet.
"Yeah they didn't kill me but they are going to test me against their finest warriors and I am apparently the best warrior in this galaxy, dunno why they think that," Donna explained, she knew it sounded stupid but it was true.
"Damn you got yourself in a lot of trouble this time but the part about you being the best warrior ever is true as far as I know since nothing can kill you these days I mean they could if they wanted to but heh I guess they're too stupid to know that after you're put on the field again your gunna pick our side right?" Mike half asked half demanded, Donna hesitated as footsteps sounded.
"Uh oh someone's coming gotta go," Donna quickly interrupted before switching her link off, she felt bad for not answering the question but she had to get off the link before one of the guards caught her talking on her com. The door opened and the general entered, his stare was cold and hard holding no expression in it. He stood near her for a moment before speaking, his voice held great importance.
"Shipmaster wishes to know your name worthless human," the general ordered, she rolled her eyes knowing he couldn't see through her visor.
"The names Donna what's it to him?" She asked rudely not liking the general, he gave a grunt before turning.
"He wants to know so that he doesn't have to call you warrior or parasite when he speaks of you," he grunted before leaving, Donna gave a sigh before curling up on the floor feeling exhausted. Omega appeared near her glitching as usual, Donna looked at her awaiting her to speak.
"D-Donna something isn't right what if you don't win the fight tomorrow?" Omega asked with great concern, Donna knew what would happen and neither of them would like it.
"If I don't win that general will enjoy ripping my head off," Donna replied with a yawn, Omega nodded and vanished to leave Donna in peace. Donna knew that when she awoke she would have to have her skills with her otherwise she would never see her friends again, she held her dogtags before slowly falling asleep.
