Chapter 38

Arjun's pov:

            I was about to take my daughter from her but she refused and asked me "Care to explain Mr. Khaleja?"

   I'm into trouble.

                 Think something Arjun, if I tell her the truth she'll hate me for being a Mafia or She'll leave me or she'll gets scared and fall into the pit of hollowness again like she was once in the past. I can't encourage any of this.

I'm scared of losing my Siya again and also my daughter. What if Siya takes her away from me?

   No! I'll not tell her the Truth.

         "Arjun?" I have been calling you for the past 10 minutes. I mean, What are you man? What's wrong with you?" She huffed.

  I know what to do...

       "Arrgggg... Siya..." I yelled executing my idea.

           "What happened Arjun? She came close to me and cupped my face." I closed my eyes tight and pretend paining... Right now, I don't feel any sort of pain because of the pain killer my Doctor injected but I had to act to handle this mess. Sorry Siya.

            "It's paining a lot Siya... Arrggg, I can't bare it." I whined closing my eyes shut.

                "Ok...OK... Arjun I'm here. You'll be fine." She told and helped me sit on the couch. All the while my daughter who was in Siya's arms looking at me with that big black marble eyes. I just wanted to crush my daughter and kiss her chubby cheeks but if I do that her mom would find out my acting.

           "Anybody there.... Come here fast.." Siya called our maids for help. Then came running a girl in her twenties.

               "Listen help me ok, I need to take him to our bedroom." Siya told her, that girl nodded her head and approached me with a slutty look. Sneaking a hand around my waist, she tried helping me up in a disgusting manner. By the way, Who appointed her?
  
                 "What the hell are you doing? Did I tell you to touch him." Screamed Siya.
 
     What's happening?

       "I know to take my husband upstairs, remove your hand from him, before I cut it. " shouted Siya, both of us were taken aback.

    God.... My Siya is possessive about me. For a fraction of second I saw my old Siya who was madly in love with me once.

             "Here take baby from my arms and come along with me... Now step aside. " Siya told her and helped me up.

            She placed one of my arm around her shoulder and her's around my waist. I felt like flying. Carefully she helped me up to our bedroom.

              She made me rest on the bed carefully and took my daughter from that frightened helot.  "Listen, I'm not that rude to yell at others for no reasons and Sorry for shouting at you, but if you try touching him again trust me... You'll see the worst. Now get lost and ask the cook to meet me." told Siya.

    Finally.... I'm winning her back. I know it's slow but progress matters.

          She laid our daughter next to me in the bed and took the other side in a way our daughter is between us.

            "My Angel is awake... Are you hungry baby?" told Siya and kissed her chubby cheeks. Just when we heard a knock. She sat straight and then came our cook inside.

      "You called me ma'am." She asked politely.

             "Yes Aunty, Arjun is not going to cook or do other house chores anymore, he's sick and needs rest. You please call all the servants back and make sure they are assigned properly. I had to take care of my daughter, so can you please make him a vegetable soup for now. I'll cook dinner for us later. You cook for rest of the maids and make sure they had their meal to the fullest. " told her, our cheif cook nodded her head with a smile and took her leave.

     I'm still trying to catch up with the things happening around me. I turned to my daughter she was looking at me, I smiled wholeheartedly and husked to her "My life is changing for good my delicate darling... You are one lucky bomb for your dad." she smiled and started sucking her thumb. Siya fed her and put her to sleep.

              "You're still awake Arjun? You need to rest..." Told Siya giving me a worried look.

        "I'm fine love. Why were you yelling at that poor girl? " I tried to pull her legs.

        "What did you say? Poor girl.. Bloody monkey she was touching you inappropriately and you were enjoying her touch now calling her  poor..." She started hitting me with the pillow.

           "Siya.... I didn't mean that love." I told pulling her to me. She glared at me and asked " What's all this Arjun? Who shot you?"

Not again...

   "Arrr...aarrg!" I yelled.

          "What happened? Is it paining a lot.." She started rubbing my back  while I melted in her touch. Slowly my eyes caught her but our heavenly movement was disturbed by a knock.

         Siya left me abruptly and thanked the maid for the soup. She tried to feed me but I stopped her and told "I can have it myself Siya."

       "Yeah.. Right with that increasing pain of yours you think you can help yourself. You know what Arjun just shut up and let me feed you." She slowly stared feeding me the soup.
   
            "I was all alone and helping myself Siya, I have gone through worse pain and severe injuries than this. I was left alone...to deal with this horrible life. Later, when I started earning money I appointed maids to work, the point is they were just doing their work it was for money, not for love." I told and found her eyes glossy.

          "You are not alone now... You have baby, my daddy, Deepa aunty and... Uh.. I can help you." Told Siya hesitantly. I am happy for what she is now to me after the horrible deed I have done to her .

        I can wait Siya... I can wait my whole life for you, this time my medicines start to work for real making me fall into deep slumber.

Krishna's POV:

         It's been 5 days there is still no news about my daughter. Arjun is not picking up my calls. What the hell is wrong with him? I don't know how my chittu was doing? Did she had her meal on time or not? I feel like plucking my hairs from head.

       Today, I called Khaleja Mansion with no option left, one of the maid told me they came back from Kodaikanal.

      Why didn't Arjun tell me?

   I can't wait anymore. I wanna see my chittu now. I drove my car in jet speed and reached Khaleja Mansion.

     I ran through the gigantic hallway screaming Arjun's name.

         "Arjun... Arjun... Where are you?" I ran straight to his room. He was resting on his headboard with a white bundle in his hand but I least cared. All I wanna know is about my daughter.

      "Where the hell is my daughter Arjun?" I yelled at him. He didn't pick up my phone for the past five days. He placed something in my arms which I ignored. Then I saw Siya coming towards me...

My chittu!

She was holding a tray of food but I can't see her baby bump... Wait But...her baby bump? Where's my grandchild? Then I felt some water dripping down my hand, I  looked at my arms then Shocked...

         The sight made me travel twenty four years back, when a nurse gave me a bundle of joy wrapped in a white towel in my hands. Today it feels the same but the only difference is the one I'm holding in my hand has got a different eye color.

     My eyes welled up looking at the small figure yawning at me while drenching my shirt. I looked at Siya "It's a girl dad... Finally my devil came out yesterday, after troubling me to the fullest." With that she hugged me. I hugged her tight with one hand while with the other I held my goldfish. I started crying having both the significant female in my life my daughter and my grand daughter.

      Suddenly someone took my goldfish from me "Uncle, I need to change her cloths, if not my daughter will catch COLD. " told Arjun and moved towards the bed with my granddaughter.

     The audacity of this man...

        I waited till he changed baby's nappy. Then I pounced on him. Before Siya could hold my hand, a hard punch fell on Arjun face...

       " So you are worried about your daughter now... Then what about me? You took my daughter with you and shut your bloody phone for days... You damn didn't bother to inform me about my grand daughter's birth. I will kill you." I yelled and caught his collar before he could utter a word Siya came in between and shouted " Are you insane dad.... It was you who shut me out... It was your fault, I told Arjun to not answer your calls or messages.... It isn't his fault. Please stop hurting him he's already in pain because of the gun shot. "

    What? Siya supporting Arjun is one rare sight but did things patched up between them?

              "You were so busy to talk to your own Chittu, don't blame others. As far as it's concerned with our daughter, We didn't know dad. It just happened. She came out to this world without an alarm. I wanted you to be there for me but you didn't... You had to fight with me and maintain your distance... If not, I would have took you with us to Kodai and all this..... Anyways, You don't love me at all! You have time to talk with Arjun but not to me. That's the truth... You don't love me." With that she ran away out. I was stunned and taken aback.

     I looked at Arjun and asked him "What happened?" He told me everything making my eyes wide. I felt Sorry for punching Arjun... It's only because of him my daughter and garand daughter is alive today.

    "I'm sorry Arjun." I apologized from my heart.

         "Uncle you should go to Siya now... She must be angry as well as worried. I can't see her sad." told Arjun warming my heart. He loves my Chitty a lot.

          I went to my daughter and stroked her head... "Don't touch me and go away."

        "Look at my eyes and tell chittu you want me to leave..." I asked her no response.

I know what to do...

        I turn around and pretend leaving but before I could take a step she held my hand and glared at me. I pulled her into my arms and hugged my daughter, she's a piece of my heart and the reason for my existence. How can I hurt my chittu?

       After few minutes, I succeed in convincing her and apologized. Then came Arjun holding my goldfish in his arms.

               She's one pretty doll with that angelic face of hers screaming innocence. Holding my granddaughter was my life goal and at this moment, I feel complete as a father. I raised my Chittu to a bold and beautiful women with brain today she gave me her hire and fulfilled my life.

What else I want ?

      "Ahaaa... Come here... Come to your grandpa my baby girl." I took my goldfish in my arms and spent time with her and Siya.

              We started talking without stop and I fed food for Siya holding my goldfish in one hand. She's exactly like her mother. I can't explain my happiness in words... The happiness of being a Grandfather.

        The baby started crying suddenly both Siya and I failed to console her but when Arjun took her in his arms she stopped crying and leaned close to his chest seeking comfort.

              "My little devil... We were trying hard to console you. But a mere hug from your dad did it." Told Siya narrowing her eyes.

            Arjun gave a proud look and told " I'm taking her to our room Siya... I'll put her to sleep you both spend time with each other."

               Exactly.... That's the bond between a true father and his child. Obviously Arjun was ignored because of my entry but his daughter smelled it and ran to his dad. Siya used to do the same, she never made me felt alone in my life after Anu left me.

     I'm happy for you Arjun... Finally you have a part of you in this world to love you.

          " So chittu, have you both decided name for my Goldfish?" I asked her.

         She smiled "Well Goldfish was so appealing and cute hahah... But, no dad.... We didn't select any name till now. Do you have any idea?" asked my chittu.

         "I have a brilliant idea!" I told her with a lovely name in my brain box.

Precap- My leg slipped and I fell straight on Arjun. His eyes were boring into mine with our lips just inches apart. His eyes showed care, pain, thirst and....mostly love making my heart run a marathon.

         My breath hitched and my heartbeat stopped when his hands came in contact with my bare waist, I  gasped making his eyes look at my lips.
