Chapter 7: Preparations
It had been a few weeks, class 1A had been through their practical exams, and Izuku had completed a few experiments.
The league had gotten some information concerning a training camp for the hero course students.
Izuku was as eager as Shigaraki, as he wanted some new test subjects.
The heroes he had experimented on were no longer of any use to Izuku. For now.
Shigaraki was sat at the bar, waiting for the new recruits. Izuku sat at one of the tables,as far as he could get from Shigaraki. The man-child was the complete opposite of Izuku. He made the young villain uncomfortable.
Soon enough, the door opened. Goran, their information broker, walked in, alongside two others.
Izuku noted the fangs in the girl's mouth, and the symmetrical burns on the older man's face and arms.
*Blood related and fire based?* Izuku thought to himself.
The villains introduced themselves as Yoga and Dabi, but after that Izuku lost interest.
Shigaraki threw a temper tantrum about Stain and left the bar. Izuku decided to go and see All for One before heading out himself.
Izuku walked through the portal, courtesy of Kurogiri, to see his master.
"Hello there Izuku.." All for One drawled. "I must say, I am very happy with the supply of Nomus you have been giving me.. their strength and quirks are unparalleled."
Izuku smiled. "Thank you Sensei."
All for One continued. "I assume the base bodies for the Nomus were the dead experiments of yours? The heroes?"
"Yes sensei." Izuku said.
All for One nodded.
"Very good. Why is it you have come to see me?" He asked.
"The attack on the training camp.. Shigaraki intends to capture Katsuki Bakugo. One of the students has caught my eye, and I would like to have her quirk for my experiments." Izuku told him.
All for One hummed. "Very well. I shall tell young Tomura when he returns. I will allow it, but only because you have pleased me so far. Was that all?"
Izuku nodded. "Yes sensei, that's all I had to ask."
All for one waved his hand. "Then you are free to leave. I hope to see some more successes in the future Overhaul."
A few minutes later, Izuku was walking through the Musutafu mall. 1A were supposedly here, as well as Shigaraki. There was someone in particular Izuku wanted to see.
He spotted her sat next to a familiar person in a hoodie. Izuku walked over.
"Shigaraki, let her go. I need her alive." He said.
Shigaraki's head shot up, while Uraraka's face quickly turned from relief to hostility.
"Why? What do you want with her?" Shigaraki asked.
Izuku smiled fiendishly.
"What I want is none of your business. What sensei wants is all that matters, and currently, the both of us want her alive. For now."
Shigaraki let go of the girl's neck, standing to slouch off somewhere else.
"I don't like you Overhaul. Something about you is.. off. One day, I'm going to kill you." Shigaraki told him, walking away.
Izuku turned back to Uraraka.
"Are you going to die?" He asked coldly.
She shook her head.
"Then stop sniveling and be quiet." He spat.
After a few minutes, the girl quieted her coughing.
"What do you want now?" She asked angrily.
"You're a hero, right?" He asked.
She glared at him suspiciously.
"Yes.." she told him.
"You would risk your life to save countless people?" He asked.
"Yes." She said.
"Would you endure horrible pain to defeat the worst villain you've ever seen?" Izuku asked.
"Without hesitation." Uraraka told him.
Izuku smiled.
"Then expect to see me again sometime soon. It's only because I need you that you're still alive." He said, a dangerous glint in his eyes.
Uraraka nodded wordlessly.
Izuku turned to leave, but was stopped by a few of Uraraka's classmates. He paused, then grinned murderously.
"Hello there." Izuku said.
"Overhaul." Kirishima said, glaring at the villain.
Izuku looked around at the civilians.
"This isn't a good place for a spat. Too many unknown factors. Why don't we do this sometime else?" Izuku reasoned.
Iida shook his head angrily. "You've hurt and killed many people, and we cannot allow that to continue. We will stop you here!"
Izuku laughed. "I haven't killed anybody yet. My test subjects were killed by.. other means."
Mineta quivered under Izuku's gaze, while Mina and Yayorozu stood steady. Uraraka hadn't moved from her spot on the bench.
*I can't let them interfere. I'm so close! I can almost taste victory!* He thought.
Jiro and Hagakure came out from behind a crowd of civilians.
"What were you saying to Uraraka?" Jiro asked.
Izuku smiled mockingly. "Wouldn't you like to know.."
Izuku turned around, grabbing Uraraka's arm. The students tensed, and Uraraka flinched reflexively.
"Any of you follows us, and Uraraka loses half her organs." He said.
Izuku walked out of the mall, Uraraka walking beside him. The class watched on helplessly. Izuku pulled out his phone.
"Kurogiri? I've got what I came for." He said.
Izuku turned to face Uraraka, putting his phone away.
"Sorry about that, but I couldn't let them interfere. Besides, taking you instead of Katsuki works just fine with my plan." He said.
"It's okay." Uraraka said. "I wasn't too sure what to do either."
Izuku grinned.
"Did you at least catch the tracker Yayorozu threw to you?" He asked.
Uraraka rolled her eyes as the portal opened. "Of course. How long is this going to take anyway?" She asked.
Izuku hummed.
"A week or two. The heroes need to plan and work out a strategy. That's more than enough time to get the important bits done." He said.
The duo stepped through the portal, Izuku grabbing his 'hostage' by the arm once more.
