(Park mansion, Lilica POV)

After school ended, Chanyeol took me to his place to meet his family. Oppa is with us bringing his girlfriend Min-Ah. He wanted to see Yoora again. We finally reached his mansion:

Chanyeol lets us in after telling the servants he brought guests. The butler, a foreigner from New Orleans, said, "Good afternoon Master Chanyeol, how are you?"

"I'm fine Jules," Chanyeol says to his butler, "Could you tell the cooks and maids that we have guests." "Will do Master," Jules says, and then leaves. Yoora comes into the living room and says, "Hey Baekhyun. Hey Min-Ah. It's great to see you again." "We're happy to see you too," Min-Ah says.

"Chanyeol told me that you're engaged now," Oppa says, "Congratulations." "Thanks Baekhyun. Tae-Ho is actually here right now. Wanna meet him?" Yoora asks. Baekhyun says, "Sure." "I'm taking Lilica upstairs to show her around Noona," Chanyeol says.

Yoora says, "Okay little brother. Just come back down when it's time to eat. By the way, I'm Park Yoora. Chanyeol's older sister." "I'm Lilica Byun," I say, "It's nice to meet you." "Chanyeol and Baekhyun have been telling me so much about you. You're just as pretty in person," she says looking at me.

It causes me to blush and look to my side. "Noona, let's not make our guest blush," he says while blushing too. We head upstairs to his room while we hear his sister laugh at us.

"Sorry about my Noona, Lilica," Chanyeol says. I explained, "It's okay. My Oppa does the same thing too. He loves to embarrass me like that just to see my reaction." Chanyeol and I laugh as we kept talking and we finally reached his bedroom:

(Chanyeol POV)

Lilica was amazed when she saw my bedroom. She goes to the balcony and looks into the woods in amazement, saying, "Wow Chanyeol! The view is amazing. Who knew living in the wilderness would be so fantastic and incredible!"

"Appa bought a mansion in the wilderness so we can hunt," I explained, "but we only do it when we're being trained, when we have a low food supply, or get impatient for dinner. Sorry if it spooks you out a little."

"I understand," Lilica says, "you're vampires. You gotta do what you gotta do." "You're not scared of me?" I asked. Lilica says, "Of the guy who saved my life? Of course not. I know you mean no harm. You're kind, gentle, and you don't hesitate to help others in need."

"It's like you can see right through me huh?" I asked. Lilica giggles at me, and then she hugs me. She tells me, "If I were able to, I'd be able tell what you're thinking and what you're feeling. I'm happy to meet you Chanyeol."

I rub the back of my neck and smile at her. We heard Jules say, "Master Chanyeol! Mistress Lilica! Dinner time!" "Let's go downstairs," I said, "the cooks my father hired make excellent meals." We walk downstairs and head to the kitchen so we can eat the food Chanyeol's family servants made.

(Baekhyun POV)

Everyone was eating the food that was served for dinner. I glanced at my little sister every now and then, and I can tell she's happy. Lilica accidentally got some sauce on the corner of her mouth, and Chanyeol, being generous, wipes her lip and smiles. I knew I can trust him, even if he's a vampire.

Yoora told me about this when we went on a trip in college and I got bitten by a snake. She bit me to heal my wound, and every since then, I kept their secret and my parents also told me they knew since they helped them buy the buildings for the hospitals and their mansion.

When dessert was about to be set, the doorbell rang. Jules bowed and said, "I'll get it Master Park," and walks to the door to see two boys. He lets them in and says, "Master you have two visitors." "Hello Mr. Park," they said, holding some documents in their hands. Chanyeol asks, "Jong-dae? Jong-in?"

"Hey Chanyeol," the boy Jong-dae says. Mr. Park asks, "You know them Chanyeol?" "They're my classmates from school, Appa," Chanyeol says. Jong-in says, "We came by to give you some documents our parents typed up for the medicines they're whipping up."

Chansoo goes to where they were and grabs the documents. He says, "Thanks for dropping by. I'm sure after coming here, you boys could use a meal. Please take a seat. Jules. Tell the cooks we have two more guests." "Right away Master," Jules says, going to the kitchen.

We all continue eating. Chanyeol and Lilica got finished first. He gets up and says, "I'm going to show Lilica around the mansion some more Eomma." "That's fine by me sweetie," Yeongmi says. They left the kitchen and went upstairs.

(Lilica POV)

Chanyeol and I were on the balcony of his bedroom window, which leads out to the forest. I look at the forest, astonished by the beauty, especially when the sun is about to set. Looking over at Chanyeol, I can tell he's not feeling good about something.

"Chanyeol, is something wrong?" I asked him. He holds my hand and says, "It's nothing really. I'm just stressed because it's senior year, and my father is trying to make me go to medical school and marry Irene so our family businesses can stay together, and the vampire bloodline can continue."

I looked at him out of sadness and said, "I see." "Eomma and Noona are doing everything they can to prevent it from happening," he explains, and looks at me as his eyes turn yellow, "I don't want to marry Irene because I want to fall in love and marry my mate. And I want to start my own business that doesn't have to do with medicine."

Looking at him, I feel a sense of relief, but I can't help but feel sick at the idea of him possibly marrying Irene. "I think you can do it. You have the right to fall in love naturally and do what you want to with your life. Even if you are a vampire," I said to him, "Just because you're not human doesn't mean you should be treated any different from them. I believe that whoever your mate is, you'll make her very happy."

Chanyeol smiles as his eyes change to hazel, saying, "It's good to know I have someone else who supports me and my decision. I'm not a monster. I don't want anyone to think that. Appa thinks we are because his parents, my grandparents, were killed by an angry mob of humans two hundred years ago. He only sees us as threats to the human race, and thinks their horrible. That's why he's trying to continue the vampire bloodline. So we can outnumber them and prevent them from killing us off.

"But my mother, my sister, and I don't want that. We want to change the world so humans and creatures like us vampires, werewolves, etc., can live in peace. That's why I don't care whether or not my mate is a human. It's just a start to finally uniting the human and vampire race together."

No wonder why he's different from other vampires. He may drink blood and do all sorts of other things vampires normally do, but he doesn't hurt people. "That's considerate of you," I said, "You really are a great person Chanyeol. Hopefully you can get out of the marriage contract so you can be happy. No matter what happens, I'm here to support you."

Smiling at me, Chanyeol says, "Thank you Lilica. I also think you're a great person. I was surprised you still wanted to be my friend even though you saw me kill a wolf and yelled at you."

"You were protecting me and looking out for me. I understood. I just didn't want to make a bad impression on you," I said. He smiles and says, "You're certainly worth fighting for." We continued looking out the window until it was time for me and Oppa to go home.
