(school, Chanyeol POV)

At school, I was sitting in my seat, waiting for class to start. "Channie!" I heard an annoying voice say, looking at my left side. I see Irene Bae standing next to me. My father arranged for me to marry her so our families businesses and the vampire race can grow, much to my dismay. Irene just isn't my type. I don't see her as if she's my mate.

Once the bell rings, more students enter, and everyone went to their seats. I saw Lilica come into the room and saw the seating chart. She saw me and sat down next to me with a smile on her face. Our teacher came in and closed the door behind her.

"Good morning class," our teacher says, "my name is Mrs. Kang, and I will be your homeroom teacher this school year. Before we begin class, there are three new students I would like to introduce you to." Soon we see three guys enter our classroom. One looked like a deer, another one looked like a unicorn, and the last one looks like a panda.

"Everyone, these are some exchange students from China. Xi Luhan, Zhang Yixing, and Huang Zitao," Mrs. Kang says, "They are brothers and are fluent in English and Korean, taught by their father and older brother, Kris. You may find your seats according to the seating chart."

Once they got closer, I knew something was up. The minute their scents hit my noses, the minute I knew what they were: werewolves. Then that would mean, they were the wolves I scared off when one wolf tried to attack Lilica. It must've been their father, the alpha wolf, Wu Lang, that I killed. They must be after me and Lilica for revenge.

(Irene POV)

Once I heard that Chanyeol saved Lilica two nights ago, I knew something was up. I knew he was falling in love with her, but I'm not about to let that happen. I've been in love with Chanyeol every since our fathers became business partners and arranged a marriage between us.

The last thing I would want is to let Lilica steal my future husband from me. It was already lunch break, so in the cafeteria, I took my tray to where Chanyeol is sitting, saying, "Chanyeol Oppa, hi. How are you?" "I would be doing fine if you would stop trying to flirt with me and take a hint that I don't love you."

"We are getting married after high school, so you're going to have to love me sometime," I said to him. Rolling his eyes, Chanyeol said, "I didn't sign up for an arranged marriage just so our parents' businesses would boom, and so the vampire race can increase. I want to marry my mate that I find. And I know good and well it isn't you."

"If it isn't me," I asked, "then who is it?!" "Chanyeol!" I heard Lilica say, "I got my tray!" "Good, I found a couple of seats near the window. We can eat over there," he said, grabbing his lunch and walking with Lilica to the empty window seats. I muttered some horrible things under my breath about her.

Then the next thing I know, I end up hit my fist against the table, causing it to go through. Before people could look at me, I turned invisible so no one would know it was me who did it. Thank goodness invisibility is my unique vampire power. I exit the room so I can make myself visible again without anyone being suspicious.

(Lilica POV)

I was sitting with Chanyeol outside during break and he started playing his guitar for me. His singing was beautiful, his voice heartmelting, and his guitar playing just so perfect.

After he got finished, Chanyeol looks at me and asks, "What do you think about the song? I wrote it when I was on vacation in London with my family."

"It's lovely," I said, "I think you have amazing talent. For a vampire, you're very sweet and nice." He stuttered a bit and said, "Thanks. I try. I'm not like the other vampires I know. Especially Appa." "Why do you say that?" I asked him.

Chanyeol explains, "Well, you see Lilica, my grandparents got killed nearly two hundred years ago by an angry mob of humans, and my Appa depises them. He didn't want me to go to a human school at first because he's afraid they would do the same to me.

"My Eomma and Noona get a long well with humans the same way I do, and they secretly enrolled me into this school two years ago. Appa is friends with another vampire business owner, and he set me up to marry his daughter, even though I don't love her." Is it that Irene girl in our class?" I asked.

"Yes. But I don't love her, and I don't even want to own my family's business," he says, "Eomma and Noona are trying to convince him to break of the marriage contract, especially since they want me to find my mate. Whether or not she's a vampire."

I soon asked him, "Well, if your mate isn't a vampire, would you still love her?" "Definitely," he says, "I would protect her no matter what. I would make sure nothing happens to her. She'll be special to me." I smiled while he grabs my hands.

(Irene POV)

I was looking at Chanyeol and Lilica talking while I'm invisible. It's really making me mad that she's his mate, and I'm not. But I have a plan. I went to find the new students from earlier sitting beneath a different tree.

Making myself visible, I say to them, "Hey boys." "What brings a cute little vampire like you to our circle?" the deer looking boy says. "Just wanted to talk," I explained, petting his fluffy hair and behind his ear, causing his foot to thump against the ground, "I came by to ask you wolfies if you could help me out with something."

"What can we do for you?" the panda looking boy with circles under his eyes asks. "I'm having trouble trying to keep this girl away from someone I have an interest in, and if you help me take care of her, I will buy you each some juicy steaks and play fetch with you," I said.

They stuck out their tounges and said, "We'll help you out." I smirked and said, "Perfect," and then explained the rest of the plan to them before the bell rang for us to go inside.
