(forest, Lilica POV)

I ran to the forest after the fight I had with Sehun. I couldn't believe my two years with him were nothing but lies! And to think he was seeing my cousin behind my back like that! I hate him! I regret falling for him! Sitting on the trunk off the tree, I start crying my eyes out.

"How could he do this to me?!" I exclaimed, looking at the picture and necklace he gave me, "I thought Sehun loved me! I hate him!" I tore the picture of us, and threw the necklace at another tree as I continued crying. Just then, I heard my phone dinged, and I looked a tiny message from Oppa:

Oppa: Lily. Where are you, Eomma is beginning to worry, and so am I.

Lily: I'm at the grocery store. I'm on my way home.

Oppa: Okay. Text me if you get lost.

I smiled a little through my tears as I saw my brother's message. Looking in the forest, I don't know why I ended up here. I just couldn't be anywhere near Sehun, so I ran as far as I could without looking basically. "I need to find my way out of here," I said.

I walked through the forest, trying my best to find where I came from while wiping my tears. Soon, I heard a noise in the bushes. I froze up and began to stutter in fear. "Hello?" I asked nervously, "Is anyone there?" As I was walking, I stepped on a twig, which seemed to have made the noise louder.

I turned my head in the direction of the noise and begin to get scared. "What's going on?" I asked. Soon, a bunch of red eyes began to glow in the bushes. Five hungry wolves begin to walk out as I started walking backwards. One wolf growled at me, and I screamed and started to run away. "Help me! HELP!" I exclaimed, running through the forest.

Desperately, I tried finding my way out, but I forgot which way I came. Suddenly, I came to a dead end, and started panicking. Oh no! There's no escape! Is this how I'm going to die?! I thought as the wolves started to slowly gang up on me. I screamed loudly as one wolf pounces towards me.

Before he could attack me, a tall, pale figure flies towards the wolf, and starts to fight him. The other wolves look in the direction the guy sent the wolf. After pinning the wolf down, the guy bites into his neck. Then, after a while, he pulls back, and looks at the other wolves.

He hisses at them, causing them to whimper in fear and run off. After walking away from the dead wolf, the guy turns his head towards me. His eyes were red, and he also had fangs in his mouth. Judging by his actions, I assume he's a vampire.

He licks the blood trailing off the side of his lips and said, "Why are you out here alone?" I froze up as I looked at him with wide eyes, not knowing what to say. I was too scared to even move. Suddenly, he walks closer to me, pinning me against a nearby tree. "I believe I asked you a question!" he exclaims as I stutter, "NOW ANSWER ME!"

I scream and then say, "I-I don't know, okay?! I was running after having a fight with my now ex-boyfriend, and I just ended up here! I got lost after my Oppa texted me. Now I don't know how to get back home! Just, please don't hurt me, okay!" I started to cry again after thinking about the situation. His eyes turned a brownish green again after I told him my situation.

(Chanyeol POV)

I saw fear and sadness in her eyes as she told me what happened, and I had to stop yelling so she will calm down. I wiped my lips and then said, "Don't cry. I didn't mean to yell. Are you hurt?" "No," she says while she slowly calms down, "I'm alright, thanks to you. You saved my life. My name is Lilica Byun."

"And my name is Park Chanyeol," I say, helping her up. As I help her out of the forest, she asks me, "Have I seen you somewhere before?" "Oh yes. We go to the same school together, and this year, we're in the same class," I said to Lilica. "Oh, that's right," she said, "you were homeschooled while I was in the states."

"I heard your father is the owner of the real estate business that my father bought our mansion from," I explained to her. She then tells me, "My father does own the business. Soon, Oppa will inherit it. Doesn't your family own several hospitals, and your sister works at one as a doctor?"

I said, "Yes. You are right Lilica. My father made the business to help us blend in with humans and to help feed us. He doesn't like humans the same my mother, Noona, and I do." "Once again, thanks Chanyeol for saving me," Lilica said, "could you please take me home?"

I nodded yes to her. She told me the address, and I carried her in my arms as I ran at a super fast speed to get her there before anything else happens to her. I begin to get a fuzzy feeling inside, and my eyes begin to turn blue. Is she the one? Could Lilica be my mate? Soon, we arrived to her house.

(Byun residence, Lilica POV)

Upon arriving home, I use my key to enter the house and decided to invite Chanyeol in to introduce him to my family. I saw Eomma rush to me and hug me, saying, "Oh my sweet Lily, where were you. Your Appa, Oppa, and I were worried sick." "I got lost, so Chanyeol here helped me find my way back home," I told my mother.

She looks at Chanyeol and says, "Why thank you Chanyeol. You're such a sweetheart to help my daughter out. Would you like to have dinner with us?" "I don't know if I should Mrs. Byun," Chanyeol says, "I don't want to be a burden." "Nonsense, it's the least I can do for you bringing Lilica home," Eomma said.

"I guess I could. I'll let my parents know I'll be a while," Chanyeol says. As Eomma went to the kitchen, I showed Chanyeol the living room so he can sit down. Oppa puts his book down and then got up to sit next to me, saying, "I'm happy you made it home safe baby sis," and then kisses my forehead, "it's nice to see you again Chanyeol."

"It's a pleasure Baekhyun Hyung," Chanyeol says, shaking hands with Oppa. I looked at Oppa and asked, "You know him Oppa?" "Of course I do," Oppa explains, "Chanyeol's older sister and I are friends. She graduated two years ago from my college. How is she doing?"

"Noona's been alright," Chanyeol says, "she's currently working for one of my father's hospitals and she's engaged." "Nice," says Oppa, "I'm currently in my junior year of college, and I currently have a girlfriend. Tell Yoora to call sometime." "Sure thing Baekhyun Hyung," Chanyeol says.

"Dinner's ready," Eomma said. "Coming Eomma," Oppa and I say. I told Chanyeol, "Let's go. You're going to love Eomma's cooking," and I grab his hand and let him sit down next to me. It makes me happy that Chanyeol made sure I was safe. He's actually there for me, unlike Sehun.

I was a bit scared at first when I met Chanyeol, but that was mostly because the wolves nearly killed me. However, I can tell he's a nice guy, even if he is a vampire. Chanyeol got finished eating and bid us farewell before going home.

Going upstairs, I took my bath, brushed my teeth, and got everything ready for my first day of school coming up for senior year. I looked out the window at the moon, thinking about Chanyeol. Why is my heart racing at just the thought of him? Could I really be in love with a vampire? Especially after I just broke up with my ex-boyfriend?
