Her confession echoed in my ears. I did anticipate something will happen but never did l ever imagine of a proposal!
I smiled going on both my knees looking at her who had her eyes closed with her hands shivering as she held the ring still being on her knees.

Mahir-Feelings mutual since the last nine years!Shoot my last name for yourself Miss.Sharma!
I whispered near her left ear and she slowly peeked through her closed eyes. Little tears fell from those beautiful eyes of hers and l scrunched my eyebrows, facing her.

Bela-Y... your for real!?
She asked as l got hold of her cheek in between my palms.

Mahir-No! I was pranking you! See! Say Hi to the camera!
I said, sarcastically and she giggled pulling me into a warm bear hug. I chuckled, caressing her hair.

Bela-I thought you'll friend zone me yet again!
She mumbled as her hold around me tightened. I smiled, sadly pulling back from the hug and she looked down. I sighed, resting my forehead over hers.

Mahir-I am Sorry for everything Bela but the awkwardness was eating me up. I thought you wanted to be in a relationship with me out of guilt and l didn't want it which is why l approached to be friends with you!
I said, honestly caressing her cheek and she smiled looking at me.

Bela-I didn't lie that time either when l said l wanted to give us a chance coz l knew! I knew l fell for the one who had loved me for nine years. It never hurted much when l got to know Vikram was getting hitched to his better half but you know what hurted more!?
She asked and l raised my eyebrows while my hands went around her waist.

Bela-When you kept pushing me away! l didn't understand why was l mad at myself! At first l thought it to be a mere attraction but l later realized it was the love l had for you!
She whispered, honestly looking at me and l smiled.

Bela-But then.... It ends up good now!
She said again, smiling with closed eyes as she ruffled my hair. I cannot push her anymore. Not when she sincerely loves me now.

She confessed yet again as she slid the ring on my ring finger and l smiled looking down at the hand she had held.

Mahir-I Love you too!
I said, kissing her forehead and she closed her eyes as she held my neck.

Mahir-I look like a clown while you are all dressed up!
I whined looking at her and she giggled, shrugging her shoulders.

Bela-If l had told you to get dressed up. You would know that something is fishy! After all sir is an FBI!
She said, rolling her eyes and l chuckled lightly, looking up the sky.
Thank you for everything God! I am thankful for the endless bounties you've given to me in life! And now yet another beautiful Angel to adorn my life.
Just a small thank you would never be enough for whatever you have given me and now the love of my life. The one l could never think the rest of my life without.
I looked down at her who had a confused look as she looked here and there at the sky l was staring a while ago.

Bela-Are you friends with the moon or do you have a friend working in the space station!?
She asked, seriously and l chuckled, nodding in No.
