6. Teaching

Author's POV.
After the advice given by the man Karn walked towards the Mehendragiri Parvat.

After reaching his destination he looked around amazed by the beauty of the place, it surely was well maintained by Bhagwati Dharani.

His eyes then fell on a well built bulky man, he looked old yet had a strong and Devine aura around him.

On getting closer he was able to observe his appearance better, he had fierce yet calm looking dark brown eyes, pure white hair and beard.

On getting a close observation on the man he was able to figure out that it was non other than Bhagwan Parshuram.

Sensing a presence close to him Bhagwan Parshuram's eyes snaped up to look at the young boy who was startled by the sudden attention.

Non the less Karn went towards him and touched his feet, Bhagwan looked at the child curiosity but blessed him.

Parshuram : Who are you young one?

Karn : Pranam Bhagwan, I am Karn son of charioteer Adhirath and Devi Radha.

Parshuram : What are you here for?

Karn : I want to learn archery from you my lord.

Parshuram : Little one, you know that I only teach Brahmans Right?

Karn : I do lord but being a sutputra I haven't been able to gain any knowledge. Lord I hope you know that how ruthless society is for us 'low' cast people, I am learning archery to give justice to my brother and to protect my mother.

Parshuram : Maybe you are right, I am attracted by the hunger for knowledge in your eyes, I am ready to teach you but my only condition is that no matter what you must not lie or hide something from me.

Karn : I accept your conditions my lord and I want to tell you something.

Parshuram : Go ahead child.

Karn : Bhagwan, I was born with these Kundals and his Kawach which protects me from any harm or attack.

Parshuram : If you are saying the truth then show me what you are talking about.

Karn then closed his eyes and summoned his Kawach which shined brightly like the rays of sun.

Parshuram was shocked by this and knew for sure that this child could not only be a common Sut kid.

He knew that there was something about Karn that he just couldn't pin point but by looking at Karn's eyes he knew that the child wasn't hiding anything.

Parshuram : It's good that you told me about this my child.

Karn : Please accept me lord.

Parshuram : I accept you as my discipline and now you must refer to me as Gurudev and to my wife as Gurumata.

It was now that Karn's eyes fell on a beautiful lady who was standing with a basket of flowers and listening to their conversation.

The lady had a calm and motherly aura, Long chestnut brown hair, upturned castleton green coloured eyes and Fushia Pink coloured lips.

Her welcoming aura and smile reminded Karn of his Radhamaa, his feet automatically went towards her and he Bend down to touch her feet.

Dharani who was overwhelmed by the gesture gently caressed his head and softly said.

Dharani : May you live long child.

Karn : I am not greedy for long life but I just wish as long as I live I could be helpful and understanding to people.

Dharani : Thatushtu

Dharani and Parshuram were shocked by the maturity of the 10 year old boy but one thing was clear that Bhagwan Parshuram made a correct choice by accepting him.

Karn was now 13 years old and a brilliant warrior for his age, he was young but very powerful and wise.

He was kind, understanding, helpful and courageous young boy. Parshuram was very proud of him.

Parshuram was planning on discontinuing taking disciplines because of one of his student Bheeshma.

While teaching him never in his wildest dreams had be ever imagined that he would insult and ruin the life of a respectable lady.

To the point he even felt slightly insecure that he failed as a teacher because he felt that he was unable to teach him to respect women.

He was very upset when his student raised weapon against him and if that wasn't enough he came to know that his other student Dronacharya.

Asked for the thumb of a young and innocent child who wanted nothing but to be Dronacharya's student.

Dron saw Eklavya as a fair competitor for his favorite student Rajkumar Arjun that he failed to see Eklavya's devotion towards him.

These things broke his heart because he treated all of his students as his own children but coming to know all this he felt an unbearable pain in his chest.

But this was changed when Karn came into his life, he proved that it was Bheehma's and Dron's doing that made them heartless and not his teaching.

He was lost in thoughts when he stumbled upon Karn who was practicing archery with his eyes blindfolded.

He was very impressed by Karn and by now he well knew about his sharp memory and ability of fast learing. He was surly proud that Karn became a strong warrior only at the age of 13.

He went closer to his and sensing his Gurudev's presence and aura he immediately opened his eyes and rushed to touch his feet.

Parshuram smiled and called Karn to sit on the ground as he sat on a rock.

Parshuram : Putr, The 5 biggest enemy of a human being are Kam (lust), Krodha (anger), Lobha (greed), Mada (arrogance), Moha (delusion) and Matsarya ( jealousy). They always weaken your senses, you have to be careful and never let these get the best of you. I will soon take a test of these things before giving you the knowledge of Brahmarstra.

Karn : I will always keep that in mind Gurudev.

Karn is now 18 and is improving day by day. He has kept his gurudev's teaching in mind and never disobeying his Guru.

Karn deeply respected his Gurudev and Gurumata. Karn has gotten very close to Dharani and she too considers him as her own son.

Dhanrani and Parshuram are not even allowed to lift a finger for doing Any kind of work because Karn does it all.

His day starts early morning when he goes for Suryapooja, then he comes back and makes breakfast for Dharani and Parshuram.

He then revises his lessons for the previous class, then Bhagwan Parshuram starts teaching him till it is dinner.

Karn then makes dinner and serves it to both of them. And at the end eats and goes to sleep only to repeat his daily schedule again.

After completing his revision he was sitting on the floor waiting for his Gurudev to come.

Parshuram looks at Karn and smiles because he is never late no matter what happens. Parshuram somewhat misses his daughter Chandrakala dearly.

Karn notices Bhagwan Parshuram and quietly goes and touches his feet smiling at him and goes back to his place.

Parshuram : Putr, I can see that you are improving day by day and I am very proud of you. But always remember one thing that a warrior must use his power on correct time and situations only or you surly one day will lose your power also a warrior must know how to defeat his/her opponent while observing his/her movement closely because sometime observing someone's body language is very useful.

Karn : I will always keep this in mind Gurudev and I promise that I will only use my powers when needed.

Parshuram : I know Putr you will never do anything that will rise a question on my teachings, always remember that weak opponent always attack in groups you should be very careful and attentive during this situation for example you can take those Bandits that attacked to when you first came to Mehendragiri Parvat.

Karn nodded his head indicating that he understood what his Gurudev is trying to say and is trying to memorize each and every word very clearly.

But little did he know that Lord Parshuram was planning a test of his past teaching to see weather he remembers it or not.

Hope you liked this update

What do you think the test would be?

Will Karn be able to qualify it and learn the art or Brahamartra?
