Hey, sorry if I haven't updated in a while. A lot of stuff is going down. Anyway I hope you like this.

Since Alice's call, I've tried to forget Esme and get the divorce papers together. However, I think she beat me to them. When I got back from a long night at the hospital, a man in a beat up 1950's pickup was waiting for me. If I had a heart, it would be beating three times as fast. I didn't know where Bella was, and that scared me too.

He smelt even worse that the wolves, which kind of frightened me even more. He stood up straight and had dark circles under his eyes. When he spoke, his voice sounded like a growl.

"Carlisle Cullen?" He asked.

"Yes," I said wearily.

He handed me a big envelope and said, "You've been served." Then he got into his truck. It stalled several times before he could get it going and leave.

I didn't know if I was happy or angry that Esme had served me with divorce papers. That must mean she either knew about me kissing Bella, or met someone else. Emotions are very difficult. I went into the house and called Bella's name. When no one answered, I got worried and rushed around the house looking. Her truck is out there so, she should be here.

"Carlisle," a voice called.

"Bella?"

Bella appeared at the top of the stairs. She was smiling with wet hair. I must have interrupted her bath time.

"Hey, did you know that a man was outside?" I asked.

Her face got worried. "No, why?"

"It's okay, he's gone. He just came to serve me with the divorce papers. I was just wondering." I hurriedly told her.

She slowly came down the stairs looking upset. "You were served?"

I nodded and showed her the package unopened. I smiled a little. I guess I was happy. "I caught you in the shower, didn't I?"

She shook her head. "Air drying my hair."

"Want to go out to dinner?" I asked her quickly. She looked at me as if she was surprised by that. Honestly so was I. However, she nodded and ran back upstairs.
