Chapter 23
My amazing readers, just a quick note, my characters are definitely Muslims, very good ones actually. However, in a Desi family covering your chest is more important than Christmas covering your hair with a hijab; this is because Desi (I'm just giving a Bangladeshi's point of view) people think your attracting more attention towards you by not covering your chest and you immaculately are casted as a 'slut.' We all have different opinions on this, and I respect your opinions on this, however I believe you should ALWAYS cover your chest, even though you may you not cover your hair. Therefore, sometimes my characters may not cover their hairs', but shall always cover there chest.
I have attached a song and a image of an outfit. I hope you like my choice.
I have attached a music, Sadi Gali, from Tang Weds Many, it's at the top, as well as, at the top there is a picture of Aaliyah's and Ibrahim's rings, again if you cannot see it the characters will later describe the rings.
Dedicated to My Lovely Silent Readers. :)
Anyways, like always please comment, vote and share! Thank you! xx

"Hanging on to something resentment is letting someone you despise live rent- free in your head."
Hussain's P.O.V
I adjusted my black tie, while admiring my remarkable features, which ladies fall for; given by Allah. Ibrahim and all our families just arrived at the engagement hall ten minutes ago, but I decided to do a quick check on myself, just to make sure I'm looking good for the ladies. Ibrahim's dad and Aaliyah's family decided to have all their ceremonies held in halls just to make it easier. I swung the heavy wooden door open and went outside, music playing and waiters and waitresses serving drinks. I headed straight to find Ibrahim and Aaquil.
"Yaar, I look good right?" Ibrahim asked nervously, wiping the sweat from his head with a tissue.
"Yaar, I told you for the millionth time, you look brilliant! Now stop acting like a girl." I was being stereotypical, but I had to cheer up this wimp.
"Hussain buddy, get someone water for our big man." Aaquil asked while fixing Ibrahim's sherwani, I nodded and headed out of the room.
I went down stairs and bumped into someone, I heard this person groan, sounded like a female. "I'm really-" I didn't finish my sentence because I looked up to find Afira standing right in front of me, looking beautiful. She was wearing a simple white anarkali with a little gold on it, her hair tied in a simple ponytail with her duppata on top. I caught a glimpse of her diamond earrings, dangling in her ears.
"Oh. Hussain. AslamWalayKum." Afira greeted politely, why is she acting so polite?
"WakayKumAsalam," I greeted back and walked off, she didn't follow me, she stood there. Walking off like that is rude, but she hurt me. Firstly, when we were young I was always by her sure, although we argued and fought a lot and then when I finally tell her we were friends she finds it hard to believe! I haven't seen her for 12 or 13 years but I still remember her. I went into the kitchen and got 5 water bottles and carried it back into the room.
I walked into the room still thinking if I was taking this a little too far (not talking to Afira). Oh well, I'll secretly forgive her, but act like I haven't. "Yo man. Thanks for the water, they've just called us out," Ibrahim took a quick sip out of the water bottle. We all walked out finding people dancing to the music. The song that was playing at the moment was Sadi Gali from Tanu Weds Manu, some people were singing, dancing or even tapping along to the song.

"Attention everyone, now can we have the nearly-going-to-be-bride on the stage please? Same with the nearly-going-to-be-groom?" It was Aaliyah's sister. Tallu? Tall? Tallah? Does confidence run in their families? With the announcement Ibrahim and Aaliyah went up on the stage. Ibrahim was wearing a simple white sherwani and Aaliyah was wearing a detailed, heavy gold and white long anarkali, her hair was out, straightened and was wearing a simple diamond set. Everyone clapped and cheered. "Now, for the rings?" Tallah said, Aaliyah's Mom got the ring out and handed it to Aaliyah; she put the ring on the left hand on Ibrahim's hand. It was a round ring, with black in the middle and silver line around it. Everyone applauded and cheered. I patted Ibrahim on the shoulder. Ibrahim then took the ring from his Dad's hand and inserted it on Aaliyah's finger, again everyone applauded and whistled. The ring was shaped like tear drop, big diamond in the middle with a little line at the side, filled with small diamonds. From the corner of my eye I saw Afira grinning merrily at her best friend.
There was more music with people dancing and singing at front on the stage, someone girls came up to me asking to dance with me but I declined, which made them frown. Someone tapped me on my shoulder, I turned around to face the most beautiful eyes. Only one person I know has these eyes.

What do you think of the song and the rings?
