10. Just All Talks
WARNING:- NOT PROOFREAD
After eating, they've danced on the Beach, playing songs on their Phones, like a crazy group. As the place, they're in is Goa, and it's a Beach, nobody paid any heed to their madness.
Tiring themselves with the intense dance, they moved out of the Beach, and rode to their Hotel rooms, as it was a really really tiring day for them.
"I'm tired!" Meera sighed, as she fell flat on the bed, on her stomach.
"Me too!" Aadya muttered as she fell beside Meera's sleeping figure. Seconds later, a phone's ringtone bloomed in the room, eventually waking the lazy figures up from the bed.
"Aadya, it's your Husband, yaar!" Meera nagged, as her sleepy eyes adjusted to the phone screen.
Sighing audibly, Aadya took the phone from Meera, who stood like a statue with Aadya's phone in her right hand and her left hand on her hip.
"Hi!" Aadya said, reverting the call.
"Hi!" Harshith exclaimed in happiness, as he got to hear his fiance's voice after four days. Like literally, they didn't talk, as he doesn't want to disturb her.
But he got habituated to talking to her on daily basis, which is the result of now, he called her. Lovesick!
"You didn't sleep?" Aadya asked while glancing at her phone screen in the middle.
"You know I won't! I, I mean, this early!" He stumbled upon the first sentence and added the other one.
"Yeah!" Aadya replied, rubbing her forehead, embarrassed at the known thing.
"So?" He paused in the hope that she would talk but the silence she gave was enough answer for him to talk again.
"Um... Had dinner?" He seems to find no questions to ask her as the silencing si soothing!
"Yep! A while ago!" She replied, biting her lower lip. "What about you?" She asked after a small pause.
"Yeah! Just now!" He said, scratching his forehead. "Mom was just asking about you!" He said, as the thought of striking a conversation popped in his head.
"Oh!" That's the only thing that escaped Aadya, as the image of her sweetest mother-in-law flashed in front of her.
"Um, How's ALakananda?" He asked before she can do anything with the information he gave about his mother.
Aadya snapped out of her thoughts, as her sister's name escaped him. Basically, Harshith loves Alakananda. Not 'Loves' loves, but the way a Brother-in-law does.
He's flattered by the girl, described to him, by his fiance. Though she never met him personally, or strike a conversation with him, due to the circumstances, he is so flattered by her. The girl she is, enough for him to have huge respect for her, for her courage. Cause, she went after her freedom.
Cause, even boys get scared to get out of their home, even though it's for their dreams, and, here this, girl, fought for herself and her dreams.
The main reason for her to left her Parent's home is, they always compare Aadya and Alakananda and that's the most irritating thing for any Adult. And, when they bought some topic about Alakananda's marriage with their relative, that's the last nail in the coffin for her. She left their home and they didn't ask her to come back. Aadya told him all these things.
But are ready, if she wants to come home. That's the typical Indian Parents. Harshith saw Nanda on their engagement day, clad in a simple Half-saree, she's looked so elegant. She just looked the same as he formed an image of the girl, Aadya described.
"Huh?" Harshith snapped out of his reverie, as Aadya's continuous voice boomed in his ears.
"You weren't talking and I thought your phone has no signal!" Aadya said, with the same whispering tone.
"Oh, sorry! I think, there's no signal here!" Harshith said, slamming his phone on his forehead.
"I said, Nanda, is fine! In fact, Happy!" She said, her face is glowing with happiness.
"Good!" He said, acknowledging the happiness in her voice.
"Aadya, what were you doing all the time, yaar?" Sahitya screamed as she came out of the washroom, 10 minutes ago.
"Sh... That's her husband!" Meera screamed at Sahitya, who bit her tongue after looking at Aadya who nodded her head, blushing.
Harshith laughed out loud, as he was struck at the word, Husband.
"I think I've disturbed you guys! Have a nice holiday!" Harshith decided to not disturb her holiday.
"Yeah!" Aadya said, not knowing what to say!
"Bye!" Biding him a Bye, she cut the phone and turned around on heels to come across her Sister and Riya in their room, sat cross-legged on the bed, munching their chips packet.
"Ooh!" They'll ooh-ed and aah-ed as Aadya came and sat on the bed.
"Guys, shut up, yaar!" She said after them teasing her for a few minutes.
"He's called to asl about his sister in law, okay! Not for me!" Nanda fell silent as a grim adorned her delicate features.
"Oh! Brother-in-law, and, sister-in-law thing?" Riya said with a fake frown and laughed out loud, as Aadya hit her on her arm.
"Where are we going tomorrow?" Nanda asked, to divert them from the topic and the plan worked.
"I don't know!" Riya shrugged her shoulders, glancing at Aadya and remaining.
"I think, I know where we should go tomorrow!" Nanda replied, while in deep thought, biting her lower lip.
"Where?" Meera asked, lifting her brows at her.
"Will tell you!" Nanda said with a mischievous smile. "It'd be a surprise! And, y'all have those dresses with you, right?" She asked, with her finger on her chin.
"Yep, we do!" Sahitya said, glancing at Riya and Aadya.
"Perfect! Wear those tomorrow!" Nanda said clipping her hands together.
"But where are we going?" Riya asked about the suspense, her not so innocent friend is trying to create.
"Darling! Why would you even need it?" Nanda said with her voice dripping sugar.
"Because, Darling, you asked us to wear dresses and it will become tough to sit behind someone with a dress on!" Riya replied, feigning annoyed in her voice, and, remaining all three nodded in agreement.
"Oh!" Nanda's full lips formed a perfect 'o'. "But don't you worry my dear, it's us right, who has to drive, and they can sit on one side if they have a problem with that! What say?" She completed with that smile hiding on her face, resulting in Riya slapping her forehead, talking with the mischievous naughty girl, to reveal her suspense or surprise.
"It's wasted!" Aadya said, and they all laughed out loud at Riya, who twitched her lips, dismissing their laugh.
* * *
The very next morning, Alakanada stepped out of the room they've been sleeping like dead bodies, to get ready fast, to explore another place on the new and exciting day.
As she came back after 15 minutes and stepped into the other room to see if anyone is wake up, she's got a surprise. It's just 10 AM and Sahitya Madam is in the washroom, getting ready.
It's a bigger surprise than life. Nanda thought and chuckled to herself.
"Hey, get up you all!" Riya wide opened her eyes at the scream and pulled the blanket off, over her head, only to get her mouth agape, at the figure in from of her, clad in a Mustard Yellow, Floral Print, Tiered Sleeveless below knee-length Dress, with her denim jacket on her hand.
"Nandu..." Riya exclaimed screaming on top of her voice, eventually waking Aadya and Meera up from their deep slumber. Riya jumped out of the bed and strode towards Nanda, who is shell shocked at the scream.
Aadya and Meera glanced at each other, with their sleepy eyes, confused at the two.
"Oh My God, look at you!" Riya exclaimed, grinning ear to ear, showing all her pearl white teeth at Nanda, clutching Nanda's arms.
"What? Not Good?" Nanda asked, looking herself in the large mirror behind Riya.
"I'll slap you, Idiot!" Riya scoffed while gesturing Nanda towards her hand.
"What?" Nanda whined.
"What what?" Meera came out of the bed, tossing the blanket over Aadya's head, unintentionally though.
"Look at you! Looking like you've just hit it out of the park, yaar. Like a Bomb!" Riya said, turning Nanda around to face her, who turned to have a look at Meera, who now is beside her.
"I think, I'm looking good. I like myself!" Nanda said while looking at herself, smoothing her dress.
"Good?" Meera questioned, turning Nanda to face her. "Man, can't you hear, you're looking Bomb, I mean, that 'Guy' will lose his mind to you, you know?" Meera said, referring to the future guy, destined to get tangle in Alakanada's Destiny.
"Achha?" Nanda questioned, with her raised brows while Riya came towards them.
"I swear to Meera!" Riya said, placing her hand on Meera's head and the next few minutes are followed by the chasing and catching Riya for Meera, while Aadya and Nanda laughing at them.
Sahitya who came out of the washroom with only a towel tied around her slender figure gaped at the sight, the messed up room, laughing maniacs, but all of them stopped their work in the middle as its now their turn to gape at. At Sahitya.
Realizing what the stares for, Sahitya was about to shut the door of the washroom, but, Nanda came towards her running, stopping her from closing the door.
"What Nandu?" She asked, covering her body from everyone's view, who followed behind Nanda.
"Ooh! What a sexy figure, man!" Nanda tried teasing her hiding her smile.
"Nandu..." Sahitya averted her eyes from them, as she flipped her water dripping hair strands behind her shoulder, by the way, blushing like a love-smitten teenager.
"Ahh! What Sahi..." Meera moaned, playing along. Sahitya widened her eyes at them but tried hiding it with her stern face.
"I don't know what would've happened if we had brought your husbands along?" Nanda said, shooting her head.
"Chi..." Sahitya made a face, but the tinge of Blush is now spreading all over her cheeks.
"What chi?" Riya popped in. "Don't tell me you guys haven't..." Riya received a slap from Aadya, who mouthed a stop to her.
"What? Oh no! They did. I mean, Abhi is the proof no..." Aadya pressed her palm to Riya's mouth as she was so indulged in the game.
"Guys, yaar!" Sahi slammed the door shut, hiding her blushing self, behind her palms.
"Wear that dress today!" Nanda shouted, laughing at her friend, who got shied away just about the indirect mention of 'Making Love' who's got a 3year old Son.
After a brief 5 minutes, Sahitya got out of the washroom, clad in a black strappy calf-length, fit and flare dress, with a black shrug on. Her hair is tied with a dry towel so that it gets dry.
"You two are looking awesome, yaar! Western looks nice on you!" Meera complimented Sahitya and Nanda, who, one is in front of the Mirror and one's scrolling through her phone.
"If you guys go and shower, you'll also look the same!" Nanda said, not lifting her eyes from the phone, making Sahitya laugh at them.
Shooking her head at their Mean friend, Meera walked into the washroom with her towel hanging on her shoulder.
"I'm Ready..." Riya came barging into their room, as the door was not locked from the inside. She wore the cold shoulder, floral dress, which reached below her knees.
Though Riya also, was not familiar with western dresses, it was Nanda's selection, to whom Riya can't say no. And also, she liked it at which they should compliment her.
She selects for everyone, but, chooses everything right, in which they get comfortable. Riya thought and smiled to herself.
"I'm the last one, right!" Aadya came, taking her dress out of her bag.
"Yeah! Now go!" Meera said as she opened the door of the washroom wide, coming out of it, with the dress they took for her. A simple off-white cotton summer dress, which reached below her knees, with a red cap-sleeved shrug.
"See!" Nanda gestured at Meera. "You look awesome too!" She finished her sentence, after dragging Meera in front of the mirror.
"Yeah!" Three of them, including Meera, adored herself in the Mirror.
She knows all of us would not be comfortable in these sleeveless dresses which is the reason, she chose these shrugs for us. Meera thought, looking at Nanda through Mirror.
"I'm ready..." Aadya opened the washroom door, singing and screaming at the same time, in her Olive green, floral dress, with the denim shrug on, which reach till her calf.
"Yaar, this is the first time we wore some sleeveless dresses, right?" Sahitya said, looking at herself, for one last time in the mirror, and looking at the, who nodded their heads, except Nanda.
"You already did?" Aadya asked, leaning on Meera, who is beside her.
"Yeah! Just like I wore this one!" She replied, pointing to herself in the mirror.
They all left the room, smiling, hand in hand, again, to explore the city, with their beautiful curls, cascade down their shoulders, enjoying their own time. Something every girl wants-Freedom.
