I went back home and told my parents about my errand that Prof. Sycamore had asked of us.

Mom:"Aww, another adventure so soon? Well, you are an adult and a champion so it shouldn't be a problem. But remember, east or west, home is best!"

Dad:"She stole that from a magazine for moms."

"And how do you know that?"

Dad:"I tried to see if there were any tips and tricks I need to know about women."

He was then hit upside the head by said magazine which caused me to laugh.

"Right. Be seeing you."

I left the house and went onto Route 2 where Shauna and Serena were waiting for me.

Shauna:"(Y/n), come teach us how to catch Pokemon!"

"You serious?"

Serena:"Learning from a pro is the best option we have."

"Ugh, fine. Here, give me a Poke Ball."

Shauna nodded and handed me one. I stepped into the grass and a wild Pokemon attacked.

"First step is to weaken it. Jiraiya, use Pound."

He nodded before running up to the Fletchling and bopped it on the head. It cried out in pain and attacked back.

"Next step is to throw the ball."

I spun a ball on my finger before throwing it and catching the Pokemon. After the successful catch, Jiraiya glowed like he just got stronger.

"Woah, that's new."

Serena:"My parents said that whenever you battle or catch a Pokemon, your own gets stronger."

"That's good to know. I'll give this one a nickname too."

I checked it with the dex and saw that it was a girl.

"I'll call you Ravel."

Shauna:"Awesome! I can't wait to catch lots of cute Pokemon!"

Serena:"Here, I'll share some Poke Balls with you two."

She gave us 10 balls each and went on ahead. I followed after as Shauna walked around in the grass. I battled a trainer before entering Santalune Forest.

?:"Wait!"

I turned and watched as Shauna caught up with me.

Shauna:"Let's walk together. I hope you don't mind."

"I don't mind."

She pumped her fist which caused me to laugh as we walked around the forest together. I trained up Ravel and found some potions along the way.

Shauna:"So (Y/n), what was your time in Unova like exactly?"

Many memories ran through my mind. The time when I caught Anubis, the time I first kissed Roxie, the time Hugh and I fought off Plasma grunts, and when I fought Iris, Cynthia, and Hilda.

"Very eventful. There were some times where I could catch my breath, but there were other times where I couldn't rest because of what was going on."

Shauna:"I'm just glad you're safe."

"Thanks Shauna. It honestly feels good to be back."

She smiled and we caught up with Serena, Trevor, and Tierno. We talked a bit before we kept exploring the forest. I reached the exit with Shauna and Serena finally caught up.

Serena:"Wow (Y/n), you're fast. I expected you to be a little lost."

"I know this place like the back of my hand. Wait, is that a freckle? When did that get there?"

I looked at the back of my hand curiously and just laughed. They laughed as Tierno and Trevor caught up.

Shauna:"Now that we're all here, let's head into Santalune City!"

They all cheered and I just smiled softly before we all walked out the forest together. The sun hit us right in the eyes and we winced before staring out past Route 3 to see Santalune City up ahead.

Shauna:"What now, guys?"

Trevor:"I'm going to look for some Pokemon."

Tierno:"Yeah! I'm gonna go around and see what types of moves these Pokemon use!"

Shauna:"What about you two?"

"Well there's a gym in the city so I'll challenge that."

Serena:"Same here! See you there!"

She giggled before running off as Tierno and Trevor walked off to do their things.

Shauna:"I'm going to hang out with my cute Li'l Fen a bit more."

"Gotcha."

I walked through Route 3 and trained up Jiraiya and Ravel a bit more before entering the city. I healed up before heading to the gym. There was a girl standing there and she looked like a skater.

Girl:"Hey trainer, isn't just great to zoom on by with roller skates?"

"I wouldn't know anything about that. I don't own a pair. Whatever you're selling, I'm not buying. Just let me through."

Girl:"WHAT?! Well now that I know you don't even have roller skates I just have to teach about them! With a battle!"

"You serious?"

Girl:"Dead serious! Come on out Zigzagoon!"

"God damn it. Go Ravel!"

I sent out Ravel and she chirped happily.

"Tackle!"

Ravel nodded before flying straight at Zigzagoon and hit it with tremendous force for that of a small bird.

"Ooh! A critical hit!"

Zigzagoon went down fast and the girl just stared at me dumbfounded.

Girl:"I-"

"Just give me a pair of roller skates or whatever."

She did just that and I put them in my bag before stepping into the gym. There weren't any other doors inside but only a pole leading down. I shrugged and slid down it and landed on a large web like structure. I took down the trainers effortlessly before reaching the leader.

Viola:"That determined expression... That glint in your eye that says you're up to the challenge... It's fantastic! Just fantastic! But there's something else, a grand aura that surrounds you... A sign that you have had experience before! Fantastic! I, Viola, accept your challenge!"

"Sweet. Go! Ravel!"

I sent her out and Viola smiled.

Viola:"Let's go! Surskit!"

The battle then began.

"Use Peck!"

She flew at Surskit and pecked it and it cried out in pain.

Viola:"Use Water Sport!"

Surskit created a puddle and splashed in it as water flew everywhere.

"Finish it off with a Quick Attack!"

Ravel flew faster and hit the Surskit with her body and knocked it out.

Viola:"Ooh! So swift and amazing!"

She took a picture with her camera which made me deadpan.

Viola:"Well, time to send out my ace! Let's do our best Vivillon!"

Viola:"Tackle!"

Vivillon slammed itself into Ravel and she shook off the attack and struck back with a peck attack.

Viola:"Use Infestation!"

"Wait what?"

Vivillon flapped her wings and tiny bugs gathered around Ravel.

"Gross. Use Peck!"

She chirped and flew at it and hit it hard with Peck, nearly taking it down.

Viola:"You two sure are strong!"

She took another picture of me and Ravel was hurt by the Infestation. Viola grabbed a Potion from her bag and sprayed Vivillon with it.

"Peck again!"

Ravel attacked once again and nearly brought it down once again. Ravel took damage from the infestation again but was still fighting hard.

"Alright, let's end this!"

Viola:"Tackle!"

Ravel and Vivillon charged at each other and attacked but Ravel came out on top.

Viola:"You and your Pokemon have shown me a whole new depth of field! Fantastic! Just fantastic!"

I got handed a badge.

Viola:"With that Bug Badge, Pokemon up to Lv. 30 will listen to your orders in battle. And here! This TM commemorates your win against a pro photog like me."

(Y/n) obtained TM83 Infestation!

"Thanks."

Viola:"Before you go, I'd like to take a picture of you to hang on my wall. I do that with all the trainers that beat me."

"Eh. Couldn't hurt."

She smiled happily and got me to stand on a backdrop and snapped several pictures of me as I struck different poses. She then set up a tripod and took a picture of us together.

Viola:"Thank you! See you around."

"See ya."

I left the gym and stretched happily. I healed up Ravel and went north to continue my journey. I was stopped by a woman that looked similar to Viola.

?:"Oh, you... You are, aren't you?"

"Am I what?"

?:"You're one of the kids who got a Pokemon from Augustine Sycamore, right?"

"Yeah."

She then noticed the Bug Badge in my hand.

?:"Would you look at that! You got a Bug Badge! Looks like I might have a new scoop. To beat Viola after only receiving a Pokemon from the professor. You really are something, aren't you?"

"Well, I don't mean to brag but I'm the Champion of Unova!"

She gasped then cleared her throat.

Alexa:"Oh! Sorry, I never did introduce myself, did I? I'm Alexa. The gym leader you just faced, Viola, is my younger sister."

"Could've fooled me. You two could be mistaken for twins."

She went red and just giggled to herself.

Alexa:"Well Mr. Champion, as a gift to celebrate your victory and for the compliment, I shall give you this Exp. Share."

"Nice! This should make training easier."

Alexa:"Indeed! If you have an Exp. Share and you turn it on, all of the Pokemon on your team get Exp. Points, even if they don't ever appear in battle."

"Wait, did you say all of my Pokemon?"

Alexa:"Sure did! Pretty amazing how far technology has come, huh? Anyway, I work at the big publishing house up in Lumiose City. Feel free to stop by anytime if you have the next big scoop to share with me! I'd love to hear about your time in Unova!"

She walked on ahead as I stared at the Exp. Share in my hand.

"Man, this is gonna make things super easy. Not like I'm complaining."

Jiraiya and Ravel popped out of their Poke Balls and looked at me.

"Well you two, let's go visit this Prof. Sycamore and hopefully meet some new friends along the way."

They cried happily as I put the key item away.
