When the world ends,

I hope it goes out with a bang.

I hope it explodes in totality,

Seen across the entire galaxy.

I hope the sound travels billions of years,

And reaches all of creations' ears—

That it never stops ringing,

This message bringing:

How life on earth was a blast,

And though we didn't know how long it would last,

We lived, we loved, and we laughed.

The hopes and dreams of the past,

We achieved and even surpassed—

The friendships and care we amassed,

The knowledge of generations we passed.

We lived life full, and we lived it fast.

There'll be no sorrow cast

For the unsaid, the undone, the un-grasped.

I hope the message is carried through the Endless Vast.

I hope the Universe will be left aghast,

When the Earth, at last,

Makes a final, spectacular blast!
