SMALL WORLD
If the world were only a hundred feet round,
The tallest mountain would be just a mound.
If it got too hot and you wanted to stay cool,
You'd jump in the ocean—it would be just a pool.
You could walk around the whole Earth
A hundred times in a day.
If you picked all the flowers in the world,
You'd barely have a bouquet.
If you threw a football or baseball
Full speed ahead,
It would travel 'round the world
And smack the back of your head.
Your best (and only) friend would live
On the other side of the planet,
But you could go whenever you liked
Without even having to plan it.
When it's daytime at your house,
Your friend's sky would be pitch black.
When it's summer in your front yard,
It would be winter in the back.
If you spun your umbrella real fast,
The clouds would all spin and swirl.
You'd be the tallest, smartest, strongest,
And fastest in the world.
You'd be the richest king—
You'd own the entire place.
Just don't jump too high,
Or you'll float off into outer space.
The whole world would love you—
It'd be the greatest honor.
But if a meteorite should strike,
My friend, you'd be a goner!
