MAGIC SHOES
My magic shoes can make me hop.
My magic shoes can climb.
My magic shoes can run me home
Extra fast at dinner time.
When my brother teased me,
They gave him quite a kick.
When he started screaming,
They whisked me off real quick.
But I think these shoes of mine
May have kicked too hard.
They're running circles endlessly,
Out here in the yard.
I've tried to turn them off,
Tried to pull them free.
I've stomped and kicked and shaken,
But they won't let go of me.
So I'll just keep on running
'Round and 'round this tree—
And see which wears out first,
These magic shoes, or me.
