Chapter five: The stranger

For the second time that day she had passed out, and one of these times it would unconsciously bring her into trouble, dangerous trouble.

Her eyes almost shined in the darkness she found herself in, hearing drops of water by her side.

She was cocooned in the body of the ground, a cave to be exact, the air was thin and short that she had to take big gulps of it at a time.

She lifted her head to look Infront of her, the mouth of the cave pitch black with black water streaming out of it, the walls were smoothly curved all the way to the floor, she felt something hollow pinching on her heart, warning bells ringing in alarm.

Her body was embedded into a pile of dust and dirt that pealed off the walls, some of it floating in the air like smooth water.

Dusting herself she noticed the cut on her hand had formed a scab and slowly dissapeared as time went on.

She peered in the darkness looking for a way out until a scrape of footsteps behind her called for her attention.

If she remembered clearly it was the man she dreamt of before, if it was a dream.

He had white and almost silver silky hair, like it was sowed on form the most smoothest and shiniest material in the world. And his pale white skin complimented him with his looks, but on top of that flawless pale skin were blue eyes that litted in the darkness, illuminating her view, it almost looked enchanting, he almost had the eyes of a cat in the darkness.

The gentle expression he wore almost made her drop her guard down and the hand that was searching for her weapon.

Where was her weapon!?.

On the spur of the moment her skidded towards her, his eyes looking and studying her appearance, his nose sniffing her neck making her blush and push him away.

He only frowned and tried to touch her hair curiously, only to be slapped by a furious slash blushing woman.

"What do you think you are doing?!"

Mystike retaliated, covering her shocked figure with her arms.

"Sniffing you" He said bluntly, Mystike blushed harder in embarrassment, she had never in her short life been spoken to so forwardly.

"Y-yo-ou"

"I've never seen a human before!"

His eyes sparkled, shining like stars.

He then tilted his head as he continued inspecting her.

"But you don't smell like one"

He commented after a while, she tried to turn away from him but the vice grip on her arm prevented her.

"Say what are you doing here?" He put his hand on his chin comically, finding her amusing in his eyes.

Mystike debated if she should tell him the truth, but she was going to probably for anyway so it didn't matter in the end, she betted that she was already last.

If only she could be some sort of them weaver, anyway back to the point.

" I have to find the exit to this maze and fast, I only have a short period of time"

"Are you lost" he countered,

"Do I look like I come from here?"

No she did not, and he knew that if she stayed by herself when the night comes she would be dead meat.

Hmmm meat...

A woman emerged from the shadows and Mystike recognised her from the event form before, her eyes widened.

So it wasn't a dream.

"Couldn't help but overhear dear brother, this human is quite interesting" she shotted them an evil smile, Mystike got prepared for the worst.

" But I Have got to say that you did save my life, and I cannot thank you enough, if you are going back out there, take my brother with you, he will protect you and help you when you need it, he knows all the tricks in these places"

Mystike gaped at her in shock, she wasn't even trying to save the river woman but she can't reject such an offer.

But how could she trust them?.

Only time would tell.

She scrunitized the young brother that was looking at the river woman adoringly and respect, he did seem harmless.

"I am honoured, thank you so much" she smiled sweetly, searching in the boys eyes as she waited for the boy to introduce himself.

"Arroyo Irving, but you can call me Ivin, at your service ma'am" He bowed jokingly, nearly mailing her join him in a laugh.

"Mystike" He smiled at her, grabbing her hand as he looked for an exit to the cave.

"Can I call you mistie?"

"No" she grumbled.

"Ikey? Or Ike?"

"No"

"Toxike"

"Why?"

Mystike moaned, she then glanced at the exit, and realised that the only way they would escape this place was by going back under water.

"Bye sister! I will return in thirty years or so"

He waved back it his flaring river sister.

"Come back when I'm dead, I'll need you then" She hissed like a cat,

"To help you dig your grave yes"

He snapped happily with a sickly sweet smile.

"Or should I burn you instead?"

They could only hear the cry of anger, he took that as a no.

"Are you ready?" He smiled at her.
