5.

Anisah shrugged her shoulders, "I don't care. I'm used to it."

The bell soon went and Audrey, Zoey and I walked to our lockers.

"Apparently one of the new kids is a boy." Audrey said, swinging her arms about.

"Have you seen him?" Zoey cried, her eyes widening.

"He's really good looking." Audrey replied dreamily.

"What does he look like?" I asked, carefully avoided being bumping into a group of year seven's, who eyed us in admiration.

"He's tall, sorta athletic, has dark olive skin and curly hair. I'll point him out to you if I see him." Audrey explained.

"Anyone doing anything after school today?" I ask, leaning against my locker.

"Yeah, I'm going to be at Netball." Zoey replied.

"And you?" I question, my gaze turning over to Audrey.

"I'm going to the Buckley Mall tomorrow with Bree." Audrey said, twisting a lock of her stick thin, straight hair. Buckley Mall was the biggest shopping complex for miles. I often went there with Avery and whoever she brought with her.

We were also often kicked out.

"Looks like I'll have to spend the afternoon with Avery." I groan, slumping against my locker.

"Avery's not all that bad. She's kinda cool." Zoey replied, shoving the rest of her books into her locker and slamming the door shut.

"I normally would agree with you, but today she's coming home." I say.

Zoey's eyes widened and her eyebrows were raised so high, I thought they were going to fly off her forehead.

"But she never comes home."

"She promised me she would for a few days. And Avery never goes back on her promises." I insisted, shutting the door to my locker.

Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder. Thinking it was Zoey, I shoved the hand away.

"Are you Reese's sister?" A boys voice asked behind me.

I spun around, "Yeah, you got a problem with it?" I taunted.

To my surprise, the boy retaliated, "Yeah, I do, that pussy posted this on social media yesterday."

He thrusted his phone at me. I grabbed it angrily.

"Gay and Proud!" the post read. Next to it was my brothers user. The comments were unbelievable.

"Dick rider!" and "Gaybo!" was one of the tame ones.

But what I saw next made me want to puke.

Avery had spammed the comments with the word "Faggot"

I glared furiously at the boy infront of me.

"You'd better not share that photo!" I shouted angrily at him.

"Too late." the boy replied smugly, a smirk entering his face.

I violently gripped the boys neck and threw him against the lockers, "I SAID, you'd better not share that photo!"

The boy's smile grew even wider, "Why would I take orders from the pussies sister? You're probably just as gay as him."

That was it. I punched him, square on the nose. I punched him again, and again. Bruises were forming and blood was dripping before he even fought back.

Before I knew it, a huge crowd had formed around our brawl.

"Fight! Fight! Fight!" Everyone was chanting, clapping their hands in enthusiasm.

I punched him again, this time, in the mouth. My knuckles were bleeding as his teeth scraped across the tops of my skin.

I felt him grab my waist and throw me back, trying to get me off of him, but I resisted.

"Don't you dare!" I screamed with each punch, "Call my brother a pussy again!"

By now teachers were alerted to the brawl and were trying to pull us apart.

I gave him one last kick and reluctantly let go of him.

A teacher roughly grabbed my shoulders and marched me towards the principle office.

"That girl just started punching me! I have no idea why?!" The boy protested to a teacher nearby. All the kids that had slowly gathered were nodding.

"Stop lying!" I screamed before I was tugged inside.

"Get into the principal's office, both of you, Now!" The teacher that was holding me yelled.

"Bu-" The boy cried, but he was cut off, "Stop arguing with me and move it!"

Before I was dragged away, I saw the look of disbelief on Audrey's face. Zoey was shaking her head, almost in disapproval.

Then, reality hit me.

What had I done?
