Chapter 11
Chapter 11 ━━ The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get
━━━━━━━━☆★☆━━━━━━━━
"Wakey, wakey." Kai pulls her out of the trunk. Wait! Trunk? Her hands are bound with rope.
"Ohh." Kai makes a weird expression.
"How did I..." She asks him in utter confusion.
"Get so lucky to arrive here on a private flight piloted by yours truly? Oh, you would have been super-impressed with my flying skills, but I'd already knocked you out with painkillers." Kai says.
Lorna looks around at the unfamiliar background around her and raises an eyebrow. "Where are we?"
"Portland, Oregon, stomping grounds of Courtney Love, Tonya Harding, and tons of other awesome people." Kai explains.
"You could have brought me anywhere in the world, and you took me to Portland?" The blonde questions.
"This is where I grew up." Kai cuts off the ropes roughly.
"Ow!" She yelps.
"I've been counting eclipses since I was imprisoned on this empty planet, and according to my running tally, I've been here for 6,771 supernaturally repeating days, so in the real world, which we'll never get back to because you sent your magic away in a Teddy bear, today's my favourite day of the year." Kai announces.
"And what day is that?" She asks.
"Thanksgiving. I'm cooking you dinner." Kai smiles and walks towards the house in front of them. "Ah. Memories." He continues to walk onto the porch of the house. "Pitter-patter of little siblings' feet, witchy-woo, chanting in the air, mom and dad calling me an abomination."
"Why did you want to come back here?" She asks him.
"Because I can finally show it to someone. My coven goes out of their way to make sure no one finds us, but since they're not here to be paranoid freak shows, mi casa es su casa. Come on."
Lorna follows Kai into the house.
They're now in the kitchen and Kai is cooking. "That smells great. Not exactly a turkey dinner, but it's what my family had in the fridge on May 10, 1994."
Lorna picks up Kai's pager and takes it out of the case.
"Don't touch that."
She laughs. "Your pager? Why?"
"Because it's brand-new, looks cool, and I don't want you to bust it." Kai takes the pager away and returns to the stove where he's making dinner.
"What happened to your parents?" He asks interestingly.
She sighs, leaning into the wall while watching him cooking. "They were murdered by Damon when I was only 8 months old."
"Sorry for your loss." He apologises.
"You don't need to apologise. Damon wasn't who he is today. He was out of control and my parents happened to be on his way. He made me an orphan when I didn't even know how to speak a word." Lorna says, making his face drop for a second.
"And you forgave Damon even though he has the blood of your parents in his hands?" Kai questions.
She sighs. "Yeah. He was a bastard at that time. But he's different now and the weirdest part is that he's my best friend."
"Wow." Kai gives me a unique expression.
She chuckles. "I know right? But he's worth it. You know? My grams said that my dad did all the cooking too."
"And your mom?" He asks.
"She sat and watched. She couldn't cook either." She says.
"Either? You can't cook?" He looks amused.
"Nope." Lorna shakes her head. "Let's say cooking is not my thing."
"I feel like you have to burn your kitchen a few times." He laughs.
"Haha. Very funny." She rolls her eyes at him, but she can't stop herself from joining him.
"I will help you with the cooking." He suggests.
"You?" She points to him. "No thank you."
"Come on, it's easy." He says. "Just give it a try."
"Maybe later." The blonde says, trying to get rid of the subject. Cooking plus she equals disaster. So, no cooking.
"Listen, Kai. My magic's gone, which means we will be stuck here forever. Why don't we just divide the world in half and go our separate ways?" Shs suggests.
"I get it. I knocked you out, kidnapped you against your will. Can't you see I'm trying to apologise?" He asks.
"I will never trust you or like you or enjoy your company for so much as one second, so just quit trying. Just let me leave here unharmed." Lorna states.
"Fine. Can we at least have one last dinner conversation before my eternity of aloneness resumes?" Kai requests.
"So you agree? One last dinner, and then we peacefully go our separate ways." She says.
"In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I'll even let you take my car." Kai tells.
Lorna accepts this and picks up a bottle of wine. "How can I help?"
After a moment later, she watches Kai eating. Both of them are eating at the table.
"Mmm. Mmm."
"Really? You've been eating that same piece for 45 minutes."
"Is it a crime to want to savour our last meal together?" Kai questions with his innocent look.
"I had Thanksgiving dinner with you. Now you keep up your end of the deal and give me your car keys."
"I should probably teach you how the clutch works. It's finicky." Kai says.
"Quit stalling and give me your keys." She orders him.
"Fine. I'm stalling because I don't want you to leave." Kai says.
"Fine. Keep your keys. I have my feet." She gets up from her chair and starts to walk out of the house.
"Hey." Kai grabs her arm stopping her, before she walks out of the house, making her look at him.
She feels the sparks where his hand is touching her arm. What the hell is that?
"Do you feel that?" He asks, cupping her cheeks with his hands.
"No." Lorna lies instantly.
He chuckles and rubs her cheeks from his thumbs, smoothly. "Don't be afraid to catch feelings with me." He whispers to her ear, making her shiver. "The more you ignore me, the closer I get."
She opens her mouth to yell at him but closes again because of the lack of words. What is happening to her?
Kai leans down and softly kisses the tender area at the base of her neck as his hands slowly snake around her.
Lorna's body goes rigid with surprise as trembles shake her body and the euphoric warmth blossoms within her once more. She's breathless with delight as he showers her with gentle, soft kisses, each with its own flicker of warmth.
Lorna gazes up at him, thrilled beyond words to be the recipient of his affection. He draws back again and spends a moment studying her face. She feels her blushing deeply under his scrutiny.
Kai gazes at the bonde lovingly, his eyes softening with tenderness before sparking with something else. He tilts her head to the side and kisses her, his lips demanding.
She feels a smouldering heat deep within her as Kai's grip tightens, crushing her body to his gentle yet firm. He slants her head further, deepening the kiss.
He pulls apart with a wide smile while trying to catch his breath. "I waited for this from the day I first met you."
Lorna smiles as the response, still recovering from the unique feeling she gets right now. She's breathless and lost in his arms.
Suddenly, Kai pushes her to the wall and kisses her roughly this time.
Her hands find their way to his hair and he grunts, bite her lip and tug on it. His lips start to kiss every single inch of her neck before he finds his spot on the base of her neck and gives a harder suck. He's completely suckling her flesh into his mouth, making her moan.
Lorna feels dizzy and weak. She's totally into his antics and she can't help herself with that. She's enjoying this and it makes her ignore the fact that she's cheating on Stefan with another guy.
"I want to hear you moaning my name. I want to make you feel good. Let me." Kai's voice almost pleads.
Lorna nods, rapidly because of her sealed lips. She's totally lost and under his control.
He picks her up in the bridal style and walks to the bedroom eagerly before gently laying her on the bed. And they both spend the next few hours in between heavy panting and pleasurable moans.
