Part 11
Question: Favorite evil character from geek mythology?

I stumbled out onto the all too familiar grassy dark plain, in front of Styx's house by her river.
The place hadn't changed one bit since I left. The pale poplar trees still dotted the banks, giving splashes of white and gray to the obsidian black surroundings. The chilling air still made my skin tingle. The darkness was occasionally punctured by the screams of the damned from the Fields of Punishment, and the sounds of partying came from Elysium.
I was done with partying.
I wanted to storm right in and crash their party. If it was possible to kill already dead souls, I would do that too.
The river behind me glowed an evil green color. Souls swam about in it, bathing in liquid hatred, which my mother represented. They looked in pain, but I couldn't do anything to help them. They'd made their choices in life. Along with souls of the dead, the Styx carried several mortal keepsakes in its current. Old dolls, books, diaries, letters, figurines, and toys, along with loads of sewage and garbage, flowed downstream.
I approached the door to Styx's castle. The Stygian iron knocker was shaped like a skull and several ghosts.
I raised my fist, but the door swung open before I could knock. The old hinges made a dreadful squeaking noise.
My mother stood before me. Her curled purple hair and lavish cloak made her seem larger, scarier, and more threatening then she really was.
She gave me a wide smile. "Welcome home, my princess."
I gave her a little dignified bow and entered into my childhood home.
Styx sat in a chair made from bones, and I sat in a regular black wood one. The flames in the fireplace fluttered their blue, purple, and black hues. The familiar shrill sound of raven squawks echoed throughout the long halls.
"So," Styx began. "What did you see in the world above?"
I recounted the whole story for her, leaving out my own personal opinions and feelings. Styx only wanted facts.
When I got to Thanatos, she nodded. "I was sure he would stay loyal to me."
When I was finished, she said, "You never did use the daggers?"
"No, mother." I said. "There was no use for them yet."
Styx nodded. "I thought as much. I never thought you would use them anyway. They were only for emergencies."
"Athena and Artemis didn't see them when I trained with them," I said.
Styx smiled. "That's good. Now I know my invisibility spells can conceal things from the smartest Immortals."
Just then a raven flew in, squawking loudly, it's eyes bulging from its head. It perched on Styx's shoulder. She stoked its obsidian-black feathers. The bird hopped from foot to foot, which looked kind of ridiculous. I bit my lip to keep from laughing.
Styx rose and told me, "The invasion time has finally come."
She led me out of the living room.
"Put on your best dress, but you should move easily in it. We will go marshal our forces while Saffron is chained up at Calypso's island and Kronos has risen." Styx commanded.
I hurried up a long spiral staircase to my room. I threw on a navy blue long sleeved dress that was loose enough that I could do the splits in it. I wore leggings underneath.
My belt held my two daggers, which were fully visible. Navy satin gloves covered my hands and up to my forearms. Combat boots covered my feet, the steel gleaming.
As I turned to leave, I summoned power into my fingertips. Fire ignited above my left, and water swirled about my right. They'd never worked in the underworld before.
I gave my room one last nostalgic glance, then headed out to face the army of Styx. My army.
