A REAL LIFE GIANT BABY

A whole new level of danger and adventure, a whole new era of-

"That's great news!" Jack says, interrupting me from my adventure thoughts.

"Wonderful news, ma'am " Aria adds.

"Good on you mum!" Coen continues.

I'm too stunned to answer, frozen to the spot. Well, until Coen prods me with his finger. Which, thanks brother, makes me windmill my arms to avoid falling, not that it helped. "Jack, sorry about this but you might not see Coen again after tonight." I say, glaring holes into Coen from my crawling position on the table.

As a reply, I get five Giants rolling their eyes at me.

I clap my hand and say "Well, now what?" I look at each giant in turn. Everyone stares at each other in an awkward silence. "Well, nothing? Uhh, Coen. Can you please lower me to the floor?"

Once on the ground sadly, I walk deeper into the house. As I pass Coen, I hesitate. Standing at the very base of him, I look up. The light behind him casting shadows over him and making it impossible to make out any features, shuddering and lowering my vision, I can't help but feel intimidated by my 80 foot brother.

Not that I would ever let him know.
