Daeum

I go to work and I was immediately directed to wait at Chae Won's office.

I went in and saw that he was still not here. I decided to sit down on a chair and fix the scattered documents on his table.

"Wow.. he must be so busy now." I talked to myself seeing all the papers on his desk that he handles.

As I was busy, suddenly, the door clicked and opened.

"Omo gapjagiya!" I exclaimed.

Hyungwon paused upon seeing me, also surprised.

I then saw him processing and realizing everything.

"Oh... right. You're here already and you're early?" He remembered.

"Ne.." I answer.

He slowly walked towards me and stopped right beside me, examining the papers I cleaned up for him.

"Mm.. thanks." He said.

"Ne..." I answer with just a yes again.

"So.. since you're my secretary, I assume you know things about me already--"

"Of course."

I unexpectedly cut him off casually, humiliating myself again.

I should really know my place ugh.

"Umm.. haha, so... may I know your name?" He chuckled lightly and shyly asked me.

I mentally panicked deep inside. I couldn't breathe especially seeing 22 year old Hyungwon right in front me already looking into my eyes, anticipating an answer.

"Damn, I still get drowned into your eyes, why." I suddenly whined out loud.

"What?" He frowned.

Oops.

I swear he must be getting weirded out by me already. I'm so sorry Hyungwon!

Wow, I should stop being so casual with him goodness he's not Monsta X's Hyungwon, the Cold Flower Boy you used to take advantage of in highschool Daeum-ah! He's now your boss please get over it. I mentally screamed to my self.

"S-sir.."

"Yes?" He leaned and tilted his head a bit closer to me.

"m-my name i-is Daeum, sir." I managed to say.

Hyungwon

I was quite getting thrown off guard already.

Is everything okay with her?

"S-sir.."

"Yes?" I anticipated what she was going to say.

"...m-my name i-is Daeum, sir." She finally answered.

I only frowned even more with a confused look on my face.

"Your name's Daeum?" I repeat.

"Y-yes." Her voice got small and high pitched.

Perhaps is she....?

"Lee Daeum!" I call on her.

"Ne?" She responded immediately.

"Lee Daeum?!" I said her name again but I sounded really surprised.

"... Yup." She admitted.

By instict, my body automatically reacted and I suddenly tightly embraced her.

"Yah!" She struggled but managed to push me away.

"Eyy... Daeum-ah!" I was confused.

"Mwooo?" She was shocked and put her guard up against me.

"Come. Give oppa a hug." I teased her, repeating the words I told her during my last week at our university as I come in for another hug.

"Ah! Hyungwon-ah!"

Embracing her felt so warm... It felt right. I know I got my heart broken because of Daeum but I couldn't help it when my happy emotions took over.

"Chae Hyungwon stop it!" I could hear her pleading.

"But why? I miss you--"

"Stop! Let me gooo!"

"Noooo~!"

I kept arguing with her as she struggled to push me away. She was really weak while I was having fun.

Suddenly, I hear her sobbing.

"Daeum?"

I stopped and slowly broke apart from the hug to look at her face.

"What's wrong?" I asked her slowly as I held her.

I don't understand her, why is she suddenly crying?

"I'm sorry, did I hurt you? You really didn't like--"

"I said stop. Don't hug me like that, I don't want it Hyungwon-ah."

"Daeum-ah--"

"Give me a sec." She pushed me away and suddenly rushed out of my office.

Daeum

That's it. My heart still beats for him.

If only I could, I could've carelessly let his hug linger and wrap on me but I'm falling in love deeper for him especially now that he's here.

I can't. I remember that I would be the pathetic one if I do submit to my feelings. I like him but the fact is, he has someone else now.

Why didn't he wait for me?

Well, it's not my fault anymore.

I rush out and walk around to calm myself. I didn't notice that I reached out already and I was at the parking lot.

I really don't wanna see nor face him anymore. I hate everything right now.

"Curse you!" I uttered.

"Mwo?"

I turned my head around quickly upon hearing a voice answer me.

"Aaaah~ Why are you here again?!" I whined, obviously really sick of it.

Minhyuk. He found me.

"I looked for you and traced you, jagi. Here, I packed you food--" He casually spoke, walking closer infront of me.

"Aish!! Yah! Stop the name calling, stop acting like we're still a thing. Minhyuk-ssi, you're not my boyfriend ever since weeks and weeks and weeks ago!" I complained.

"At least accept this."

"Omo, yah!" He handed out my lunch and suddenly put me down by pushing me by the shoulders to sit.

I then adjusted and moved a little for him to sit down too.

We were quiet for awhile and he was looking infront while I secretly examine his side profile.

Suddenly, he turned and looked at me catching me gazing upon him.

"So... tell me what was all that cursing thing?" He finally spoke.

"Why would I tell you?" I said.

"Come on." He gave me a (-__-) face.

"None of your business." I said.

"When will you ever stop being so hard on me?" He messed up his hair sexily then stared at me in the eyes.

"When will you ever stop being possessive over me?" I answered him.

"That's not the answer I want, why are you like that!?" He repeated.

"Ill stop when you'll give me space! Face it Minhyuk, Im done. You never gave me time to recover, do you think Ill be willing to face you pleasantly?" I answered him.

"Im sorry..." instead of arguing, he apologized.

"Sorry? Gosh, you're bipolar." I said.

"I know. Whatever." He gave up.

".... So why are you here?" I asked.

"Because I found out you work here. And don't you notice? I'm wearing a suit, though it's kinda casual for now." He showed me.

"Yeah.. but why?" I asked.

"As youngest son, I'm one of those who work in our company, obviously."

He took a pause and raised his brow.

"And by the way, another reason is I heard..."

He looked at me.

"..... that Chae Hyungwon is back." He pointed to the building.

"And you work here." He pointed this time to me.

"So?"

"You two used to be so close. Now you're here with him. Cool. Did you see him?" He spoke as if accusing me.

"What's it to you?" I asked.

"I have a feeling. I suspect. Daeum-ah, you like him..?" He accused even more.

"No!"

"I won't let my guard on you down. Hyungwon and you have been together since high school days. You get a chance to spend time with each other again now? Out of all places you really chose to work here." He said.

"Everything's not our plan okay. Bye, see you around sometime im heading off to work." I quicky tried to leave him as I see where this is heading to again.

Hyungwon

I look out from my office to below the parking lot to check on her.

Is that Daeum and Minhyuk hyung I see...?
