-Woodbury:ChapterOne-
_______
Digging through my computer and Icloud, I managed to recover this from the depths. I'm just going to post everything I have in this doc, it's 74 pages so I don't know how many chapters it is.
It doesn't go into full detail of the show or other book but it's little snitbits, and this Blake reminds me a lot of a female Negan or a female Merle. If anything it's very entertaining, or it was rereading it however many years later. So, enjoy:)

"Lori! Lori! Open up!" The voice stood behind the front door and echoed with the quick pounds Shane had made with his fist. The mother soon came to the door, rag in hand wiping her hands as she smiled. But that greeting wasn't mentioned as Shane had brushed past her, duffle bag in hand.
"Get the kids, we gotta go." Lori's brows twitched, confused did she follow him to the kitchen as she was about to question what he was talking about, she instead questioned what he was doing.
"Addie's here right?" The man breathed, still out of breath from the running he had done at the hospital, not to mention to the front door.
"Yeah, she came this morning before school...What do you mean disease?" The man didn't say anything, instead he just took the remote and clicked it. Whatever station it was on, he knew it'd be broadcasting the news that's in Atlanta and rising in each of the states major cities.
As Lori stood there in awe, Shane ran upstairs to get the kids. Kneeing down to the floor as he told them to pack up their backpacks and anything they could that was important to them. But this not being Addie's house, she just took the duffle bag her mother had given her for her stay over.
"What about my mama?" She asked, and Shane's heart felt out. "When we get on the road, I'm gonna call her alright? We just gotta get moving." The little girl was quick to like the idea as she walked downstairs, Lori on the other hand was bustling around. Grabing everything from photo albums to the go-bag that Blake had annoyingly forced Rick to do.
But the women couldn't be anymore happy.
"How do we even contact Blake, she's—" "I know. I'm trying to think." Shane growled back. The women would know more to it then us. Instead, it was as if the gods themselves were listening.
Because the phone rang.
Shane raced down to get to it, hoping it was Blake. But it was a blocked and unoperated number. "Hel—" The man was interrupted by the agent he was in diar need of reaching. Even with the list of instructions the women was trying to give him. He couldn't help but smile. "What about you?" "They're sending me to Washington, from there...I'm going to try and pull some strings to get to Fort Benning at the very least. But Shane...I—Please, protect her." She hurried, the sound coming from Blake's line continued to bustle.
She was busy, this catastifphy was going to be her undoing. And what that, she claimed to always keep in contact with her daughter's phone. Or even the stat phone that she knows Rick as.
It was then. The line went dead on Blake's end.
"Fuck...Fuck fuck fuck." Shane blew off, slamming the phone back down to the receiver to turn around. The family that he is now in charge for have to get moving, and the tearing face both of the kids had due to the Rick is dead dwelled on him as much as it did to Lori.
"How's the car? Full tank of gas?" He questioned, managing to get his own duffle from the police car. Lori nodded as she stuffed everything into the jeep that he left here this morning. With the kids all buckled in, did he give himself a moment to take off his layered uniform to start up the car. "Hey Addie...Who're you texting?" Lori asked, making Shane's attention look to the rear mirror.
"My friend...he's askin' if I'm okay." They didn't think nothing of it, but it was in fact Merle Dixon. So when she said 'friend' she wasn't neccesiarly lying considering she doesn't know any better.
*
A few hours driving have been uneventful. Because it took hours to get to a location that's only a given two hours at the most to get to. Yet gridlock traffic has made the Grimes, Holden and Walsh combined family to sit around the car and enjoy in the raw sun to save fuel.
While Carl was with Sofia, the young girl that was parked in the car in front of the jeep. Both Shane and Lori completely disregarded the fact that Addie was on the phone. "I don't know...The sign say exit 28..." She whispered, and the amount of commotion on the other side of the burner phone made her flinch. "Think I see ya hun, stay put aight?" She nodded, but still remained on the phone awaiting on Merle to come to combine the effort of staying safe.
The man vowed to take care of her the first time he'd seen her. Even if that meant taking her from the family she's with. "Can ya wave ya hand in the air, don't wanna freak out another—" She did just as he asked, and he stopped talking the second she spotted him. Racing down the long line of people as he took a knee down. "Merley!" She gasped, her head implanted into his chest as he picked her up and continued to walk to the car.
Blake's jeep.
"Who ya with?" "Lori, Shane and Carl." The man was confused for a moment, but then stopped dead cold in thought. "Ya ma's-" "Working, Shaney said we're gonna meet her at Fort Bennining with Grandpa." Merle nodded, but the idea of Blake not being with her daughter sunk deep into his own being.
"Yo!" He shouted, and both the adults had panicked to see Addie in the arms of a stranger. "Calm down, friend of Blake's. Been textin' Addie, makin' sure she got outta King's County aight." He claimed, and that earned enough of a responsible issue to have Shane offer out his hand.
But the stench of cop reaked all over him.
Yet he took it anyway. "Good ta meet ya, Blake talked 'bout ya...She workin'?" The stern look he received from Shane spoke volumes as to what he was in store after meeting the Dixon brothers.
And that is the start of it all
