Chapter 2:: Fate

Author's POV || A week later

"It's evening!" Yuri groaned and sat down as you spoke, "How was your trip at Malaysia? Was it good?" She nodded chuckling and said, "You saw the gifts I brought for you both, didn't you?" You and Mina looked at each other nodding.
"Well, I'll cook some dinner now. Get ready, we have to move out."
"I can't understand why you want to move out... your parents have enough money, you have a mansion?!" Mina asked as you looked down. Thinking about it for a while, you said, "Well... I don't like staying in this mansion, it's lonely." Both of them sighed at your statement, making you chuckle.

--Next day

"Imagine moving out like this, I can't with you at all, Y/N!" Mina said as you chuckled saying, "I told you, the big lousy house wasn't my cup of tea."
"Well, true. A smaller apartment is more productive. But still, you're rich enough to buy a new house.. why save money?" Yuri asked as Mina replied, "Unlike you, she has a brain." making Yuri scoff.

"Ah! This box is so h-heavy!" Mina spoke as soon as she lifted the box. You sighed and said, "The workers are working, but these boxes have really precious things... I can't bear losing them! So I'm making you both help me, sorry! You'll get compensated." You said as Yuri replied, "Well... some cash and food, sounds good?" Mina nodded as you chuckled saying, "Fine, idiots."
You all started working and hours later, the boxes were inside the house. Well, it'd take a day or two to organize the house properly but you were glad that you finally moved out of that 3 story mansion. This house was definitely better, in your opinion.

---3 days later

"Ah... the last dish kept here and we're done!!" Yuri squealed as Mina giggled along with her. They both were celebrating as you smiled saying, "Finally, we're done. Here's your reward, and for the food, come tomorrow. I'll cook lunch for you both." You said handing them two envelopes as they stared at you in disbelief.
"Do you really think we'll take money from you?! We were kidding." Mina said as frowned asking, "Huh?"
"Joking, thanks~"
Mina said as they both took the envelopes making you chuckle. How childish!

"Well... I'm really tired." You said as Mina replied, "I agree. Ever since you came from France, you've been so quiet. You should finally rest peacefully and get a boyfriend." Yuri nodded as you sighed saying, "That's not in my luck, guys."
"What do you mean?" Yuri asked as you replied, "It's a husband for me. Boyfriend, who?"
"This girl's really impatient,"
Mina said as you giggled before placing the lilacs in the vase.

"You really love lilacs, don't you?" Yuri asked as you smiled saying, "They feel like home.."

--At night

Lying on the bed, you stared outside the window to see the half-moon. A smile appeared on your face seeing the beautiful side of the moon. You've always loved the moon, it gave comfort to you. It was as if the moon told you a story of its own that you couldn't understand, but you could feel it deep down, inside your heart.

"Let's go. You have to go home before sunset. The sun will set soon." The guy with pale skin and messy hair said as the girl spoke, "You have a great sense of time.. ah! Why does time fly so fast?!" She complained as he chuckled saying, "Let's go."
She nodded as they both got up from their seats walking out.

She turned around, looked at him and said, "I won't be able to come early tomorrow. Maybe after lunch... so, will you wait for me?"
"I will, no matter how long it takes." He said as she chortled joking, "Really? Then... if I make you wait for a thousand years, will you still wait?" He smiled saying, "I will."

"Tch, you're such a weird liar. Who lives a thousand years?! Cheesy! You know, tomorrow is my birthday. That's why I'll be late." She spoke as he looked at her with a surprised face.
"I'll finally turn 18!! And then you won't be 2 years older than me~~" She giggled as he said, "Really? That's good then!"
"I'll go now... See you. Take care and use warm blankets okay??" She uttered as he smiled nodding. She looked at him with a smile as he came towards her cupping her face as he placed a light kiss on her forehead making her smile and looking down.

You got up and sighed, looking at the time, 6 am.
"What a strange dream... why do I keep dreaming of a similar guy?" You asked yourself, wondering deeply.

Ever since your childhood, you often dreamt about a guy and a girl in the woods. Sometimes, the dreams brought a smile to your face and sometimes, tears. But the problem was, even though you'd find yourself crying after waking up, you couldn't remember the reason properly. You couldn't remember your dreams well. Similar situations occurred when you would get flashes of those series in your mind but you would forget most of them again.

"Is there something I'm missing out on..?" You asked yourself, gulping. Getting up, you got refreshed and ready for work. As soon as you stepped out of your apartment, you saw some new cartons in front of the door of the apartment beside yours.
"This person sure orders a lot.." You mumbled before walking towards the elevator, pressing the button as you waited for the elevator.

While waiting, you heard the door of the apartment beside yours open making you look behind. A guy came out of the apartment as you quietly looked back. As the figure stood beside you, you glanced at him, just to get shocked. It was him, the one you saw in Paris, in the convenience store and in your dreams last night. You were sure yet unsure that it was him, and that was more confusing and shocking to you.
"You?" You asked seeing him as he looked at you, a smile appearing on his face.
"Oh! We met again?" He asked, smiling brightly as you stared at him with a huge frown on your face. What was he doing here?
"Are you the one who moved in yesterday?" He asked as you nodded hesitantly. Chuckling, he asserted,

"Nice to meet you then, neighbour."
