Looking at the skies reminded the water ninja of her boyfriend's eyes. The ninja were at Whistle Mountains resting before going off somewhere far. "What happened with Jay, Misako? He never snapped at us or even shoot red lightning at us" Lloyd said to his mother who was reading a scroll. "He's under a dark potion of causing his dark behavior. Somehow the witch might have advantage to let Jay drink something but I don't know what is it" Misako explained and Cole gasped. "He drank punch!" Cole said. "Punch?" Kai said. "Yeah, he told me that he's heading where the punch's at and somehow he met Gisela for her to give him that dark potion" Cole explained and the ninja all gasped.

"What's a way to break the spell out of Jay?" Zane said. "I'm not sure but we have to go to the temple of the Sapphire" Misako said. "Why is that?" Ronin said. "That's because Jay's heading there right now. To get the first gem to release Mezmra" Misako said. "Mezmra? I heard about her. Isn't she this female enchantress of thunder?" Skylor said. "Yes, she was until the First Spinjitzu Master transform her into a thunder bored and locked her up forever. He then put 3 gems that could release her into different temples in Ninjago: Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald. Each gem represent a element that can create thunderstorms making Mezmra strong and invincible" Misako explained and the ninja and their friends looked at Nya who heard and she sighed. "After what I heard, we have to save Jay and stopped him from getting the gems for Gisela to release Mezmra once and for all" Nya said. "Let's head out then" Lloyd said as the 5 ninja summoned their elemental dragons and let their fellow friends behind them and fly off of Whistle Mountains.

Jay flew his dark red elemental dragon to the first temple which is the Sapphire temple where the sapphire gem's at. Jay got off and he walked on the glass floors that can easily break softly to get the first gem. Before grabbing the gem, fire and earth shot his hand and the brunette looked of who was with him.

"You ninja are too late! This gem summon the power of furious wind creating tornadoes to destroy Ninjago and it is part of the destruction to release my master!" Jay cackled and Cole growled and walked up to him. "Jay! This is not you! The real you is in there!" Cole pleaded and Jay laughed. "The real Jay's dead! This is me, Cole, the real me! You guys been treating me like trash or be your shield and never give me respect!" Jay boomed and Cole looked at his blue eyes that are now red.

"That's not true, Jay! Look, we've been buddies for a long time and I know that the real you won't hurt me or Nya" Cole said and Jay yelled and strike lightning at Cole making the black ninja hit the wall very bad.

"J-j-jay" Cole said very weak.

"Don't call me, Jay!" Jay yelled as he strike lightning giving Cole cuts on his body. "Call me Thunderstorm!" Jay boomed and was about to strike lightning at Cole until Nya went in front of him.

"Get out of the way, Nya!" Jay said and Nya started to cry and looked at his red eyes. "I won't, Jay. I know the real you's in there! I just knew it! By heart" Jay started to feel the good side of himself and the lightning's fading away from his hand.

Misako and the others watched and they gasped.

Nya went up to her boyfriend and looked at him. "Jay? Is that you?" Nya said and the dark side of the blue ninja return and laughed.

"Sorry, dear, but I have to do what Gisela want to me to do" Jay said as he run up to the sapphire and grabbed it. The wind of the sapphire starting to blow the others to the wall and Jay laughed. "Good! The first gem's mine! Two more to go and my master's free!" Jay yelled and he summoned his elemental dragon and fly to the ruby temple. 

"Anyone alright?" Misako said. "Cole! Are you okay?" Nya said running up to the black ninja. "Yeah, I am, don't worry about me, you need to worry about Jay" Cole said. "You mean we all do" Kai said and Misako looked at the water ninja.

"When Jay was about to attack Cole, you somehow must weaken the dark side by love letting the good side take over but instead the dark side's too strong for the real Jay to be free. It's like you are his cure to turned him good by using your love at him" Misako explained and Nya sighed.

"I don't care about the cure, Misako, I want Jay back, the real him" Nya said.

"Then let's beat him to Ruby Temple cause I know a shortcut to get there" Dareth said. The ninja looked at him like they're confused and Ronin smiled. He knew the shortcut Dareth's talking about.
