A few minutes ago Kaveh and Al Haitham were walking through the sumeru dessert because Kaveh had to do a job there. And Al Haitham tagged along to help not because he wanted to but because he lost both their keys and was bored.

But not long after they were suddenly attacked by a group of treasure hoarders that looked a little off. And immediately they tried fighting but Kaveh got hurt getting stabbed in the leg and so Al Haitham was doing his best to help protect Kaveh.

But then he was hurt badly shielding Kaveh from an attack and hit in the head and fell to group not moving.

Kaveh : AL HAITHAM!"

Kaveh quickly dragged himself close to Al Haitham and tried making sure he was okay and alive but nothing. No movement no breathing no pulse.

He immediately started getting upset starting to crying begging for Al Haitham to wake up. He couldn't bare to lose his friend he cared about him more than anything.

But then he noticed the treasure hoarders
Coming close to him looking to finish him
Off.

So he kept Mehrak close to him and used his vision and used his claymore to fight back to keep them away.

He was feeling so many things right now but then suddenly Cyno and Tignari paimon and Aether showed up.

And he remembered that they were going to meet him and Al Haitham later and was grateful to see them now.

And once their friends saw the situation they immediately started helping but the treasure hoarder immediately dropped to the ground dead starting to look like corpses.

But everyone's attention was on Kaveh and Al Haitham. And felt dread seeing Al Haitham's condition. They had no idea what to say.

Kaveh's attention was on Al Haitham and was still crying not wanting this to be true.

Kaveh : p....please.......you.....you can't be..... please come back......."

As he cried his tears fell on Al Haitham's face.

Then suddenly he immediately started opening his eyes and immediately sat up which surprised everyone especially Kaveh but something was different.

His demeanor was different and his eyes were now gold.

Kaveh : Al....Al Haitham?......"

Al Haitham then started to get up and thwn started walking away from everyone.

Paimon : hey wait! Your hurt!?"

Al Haitham just kept going and everyone seemed confused.

Paimon : w..... what's happening?"

Cyno. :..... something isn't right....."

Tignari : you guys follow him I need to check this out"

Kaveh took off after Al Haitham before anyone said anything. Extremely confused but worried.

Later the four followed Al Haitham to a temple. And followed him in wondering why he would suddenly come here.

But as the others kept their distance Kaveh went over to Al Haitham.

Kaveh : Al Haitham what are you doing?.... please just talk to me!"

As Kaveh tried talking to him with no response from him. He grabbed his shoulder and was startled as Al Haitham quickly turned around grabbing his wrist tightly.

....... : Do Not Interfere......"

As Kaveh looked into Al Haitham's eyes he suddenly realized he wasn't talking to Al Haitham anymore.

Kaveh : I.....who are you......"

....... : Do Not Interfere. And you will find out"

Kaveh : .....No"

....... : No?"

He seemed confused not expecting Kaveh to suddenly not be scared at all and look so serious.

Kaveh : I don't who or what the hell you are but you tell me what you did to Al Haitham,!"

........ : I'll tell you once I finish. I must hurry"

He then let go of Kaveh's wrist and walked over to the throne that was inside the temple. And everyone caught up with Kaveh wondering what was going to happen.

He then sat down on the throne and put his head down and closed his eyes. Then suddenly the temple started to shake as a red light and smoke started filling the temple even causing parts of the temple to crumble.

Nobody could see anything but with a quite white light everything stopped and suddenly they saw someone else sitting on the throne. And it clicked in their heads.

Aether : the scarlet king?"

Cyno : the....I remember that now?"

Paimon : how did we forget that!?"

Aether : long story I'll explain later"

Sitting on the throne was King Deshret himself. Everyone seemed speechless but
Kaveh didn't care.

Kaveh : Now tell me"

King Deshret : Al Haitham is the reincarnation of me King Deshret."

Kaveh : what....."

King Deshret : his death awoken me so I could take over his body. So I can stop a future destruction"

Kaveh : h....he....so he's real-

King Deshret : No. He's in a sleeping state until I give control back. But I won't do that"

Kaveh : why!?"

King Deshret: I have a job to do. His time was up now it's m-!?

As he was standing up Kaveh pushed him back down and yelled clearly pissed off.

Kaveh : YOU SIT THERE RIGHT NOW! I DON'T CARE WHAT'S HAPPENING YOU DON'T GET TO DECIDE WHEN HIS TIEM IS UP!"

King Deshret : I understand you must b-

Kaveh : NO! LISTEN HERE! THIS HIS AL HAITHAM BODY HIS LIFE! AND YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE OT BACK TO HIM!"

King Deshret : you can't make me do anything. You need to accept the truth"

Kaveh : NO I DON'T! YOU BRING HIM BACK RIGHT NOW OR I'LL KILL YOU!"

Cyno : .......kaveh you should calm down"

King Deshret : listen to your f-!?

Kaveh : DO AS I SAY!!!"

King Deshret : i-

As he looked at Kaveh seeing his determination his pain and anger. The way he looked. Suddenly it clicked in his head and he knew exactly who Kaveh was and couldn't believe it.

Suddenly his whole attitude changed and no long seemed cold and emotionless.

King Deshret : ....my apologies......I must figure out the Danger that's coming. It wouldn't be wise for me to give back control now. For his and everyone's safety"

Aether : what do you mean?"

King Deshret: something unknown killed those men who attacked you and him. possessed them and used them to try and kill you both"

Cyno : this thing was trying to prevent you rising again"

King Deshret : yes. But it did the opposite. Once it's safe I can switch back control with him but I'll need to take it back in certain situations"

Kaveh : ..... he's... he's okay m..... he's safe
......"

King Deshret : he's fine you don't need to worry"

Aether : we should go see Nahida"

King Deshret : Nahida.....yes that would be best. I need to discuss this with her"

Cyno : we need to head back to Tig-

Suddenly Tignari walked in his tail smoking a bit smelling a little burnt and looking done with life.

Tignari : whoever said you can't get struck by lightning twice is dumb......"

Cyno : could have been worse"

Later in the Aaru Village as they were getting close to sumeru king Deshret stopped walking. And said

King Deshret : I think it's best I stay in the desert. This is as far as I'll go"

Cyno : we will go get her then"

Kaveh : I'm staying with him"

King Deshret : you do not n-

Kaveh: you are using my friends body so yes I do. And that's final"

King Deshret : I.... understood"

Aether : guess we'll see you both in the morning"

As everyone parted ways Kaveh found a place to stay in for free since he did some building for the village a few weeks ago. And king Deshret remained unseen not wanting to draw attention to himself.

And as they stood in the place. Kaveh sat down clearly having questions.

Kaveh : why him?"

King Deshret : I can't answer that. It was just fate I suppose"

Kaveh : .....why now?"

King Deshret : I don't know"

Kaveh : those treasure hoarders...."

King Deshret : unfortunate how they died. And if we're not careful more will die like them. On another note are you fine your leg was hurt"

Kaveh : I'm fine i-

Kaveh looked at his leg and beside the blood on his pant leg there was no wound or anything.

Kaveh : that's.... strange?......."

King Deshret : a lot is happening. Just rest and collect yourself nothing will happen tonight. And Al Haitham is fine you'll see him soon"

Kaveh : ......... alright"

Later in the middle of the night Kaveh hadn't slept and stood awake on a couch reading but eventually fell asleep sitting up.

King Deshret was walking around the place not sleeping and being on guard just in case anything happened.

But he then walked into the room Kaveh was in and noticed him in the position he was in.

He then walked over to Kaveh and just looked at him for a few seconds before moving some strands of hair away Kaveh's face and said.

King Deshret : ......you are still as beautiful as you were then......I promise to protect you. Both of you"

He then picked up Kaveh and set him down the bed making sure he was comfortable before walking away.
