"Can you tell me the story again, Fuyumi-chan?"
Fuyumi looked down at her younger brother with concealed sadness.
They recently took the bandage off his injury, regardless of how much Todoroki hated it.
"Sure, Shoto. C'mon." Fuyumi rolled out a futon and they both sat crisscrossed on it.
9-year-old Todoroki looked up at his sister with dead eyes and depressed posture, the way he always looked. But when his mother left for the crazy house, it was worse.
Enji, dubbed Endeavor, who doesn't like to deal with these things, just gave him depression drugs.
But Fuyumi and Natsou never gave him it, the only way to make him find some hope of life was through Rei's, their mother's, stories.
"Mom was just like you. Empty. It was like she had a hole in her heart. It was her family's bloodline.
One day, she bumped into a boy in high school. He helped her up and she immediately fell in love with him.
He made her heart beat super fast, made her shy around him, made her crave for him to love her back.
She followed him around, taking pictures, and found out how many girls loved him. She flew into a rage." Fuyumi looked down at him, a smile spreading on her face.
"She was responsible for at least 5 deaths. That's only one fifth of the girls reported missing in her High School. The police never suspected a quiet, reserved girl would cause this. She got off the hook, but never got her man." Her face sours.
"Father came along. He paid her parents millions. He basically owned her. She couldn't even kill him. He hopped her up on depression drugs. She was so high that she couldn't escape his grasp."
Fuyumi stopped talking. They both know what happened next. She stopped taking the pills. Started freaking out. Thought Todoroki was Endeavour coming to hurt her.
Then came his injury.
"The point is that you have mom's blood in you. You'll eventually find that one person in your life that'll make you go crazy. Remember what she said after, Shoto?"
"Try your hardest not to go crazy. It never works out in the end."
"That's right, Shoto. If they don't love you back, get on with your life. Promise me you'll do this."
Todoroki gave her a little smile. "I promise."
Todoroki didn't keep his promise.

Ochako waits on the rooftop of the school building, awaiting the boy.
She already slipped the note under his dorm door. He should be here by now, Ochako thinks, is something holding him up? Just then, he heard the loud squeak!! of the door behind her. She smiled, already blushing.
She turned toward the door, expecting Midoriya. The smoky exhale of her breath in the September night temporarily hid her surprise when she saw someone else entirely.
"Tsu-chan?"
Tsuyu, bundled up in several coats and a scarf, smiles.
"I-i got your letter."
Ochako looked at her, still confused. Tsuyu pulls the letter out her pocket, and Ochako gasps at seeing it.
"How did you get that letter?" Ochako walks towards her, taking the letter from her hand.
"It was at my door," Tsuyu ribbits. "You put it under my door, right?"
"No." Tsuyu's smile drops.
"Then who did?"
"I don't know, but this is for someone else." Ochako puts the letter in her pocket.
Tsuyu looks down. "So, you like someone else..."
Ochako looks at her, blushing only partially because of the cold.
"W-what?!"
"You used pink paper, and you wanted to meet the person after curfew. I'm not that stupid."
"I never accused you of being stupid!"
"Well, I was stupid!" Tsuyu looks down, her nose starting to drip. Not because of the cold, because she was holding her tears back. "For thinking you liked me back..."
Ochako's eyes widened. "You... I... I'm sorry for the confusion."
"Don't be." Tsuyu ran back into the building.
"Wait, Tsuyu-" Ochako held her hand out, but slowly put it back by her side.
Sighing, she looked down, her eyes closed.
"Could Deku have... gave my letter to Tsuyu? No, she didn't even mention him! But I put it under his door..."
She put her hands in her pockets. Feeling the letter, she gave a halfhearted smile.
"I can't give up! Deku should know how I feel!" She looks up. "Know that I love-"
"Midoriya." Todoroki finished her sentence, closing the door behind them.
His head is down, and he walks toward her, his steps misplaced and shaky, almost drunk-like.
"Huh? Todoroki, what are you doing up here?"
"You love Midoriya-senpai. You gave him the letter. You denied Tsuyu's feelings. My plan failed." Ochako was confused, then her eyes widened in realization.
"You gave the note to Tsu-chan! You knew she liked me!"
"Was in love with you." Todoroki stopped walking, only 3 feet away from Ochako.
"You made me break her heart!"
"And made your death inevitable."
Ochako didn't even have time to process what he said, as Todoroki creates a line of thick, sharp ice towards her.
Ochako dodges just in time. "Todoroki! What's wrong with you!"
He says nothing, making another line of thick ice.
She dodges this, and Todoroki sprints towards her, other hand encased in flame.
Flames flicker at part of her body, singing her hair a little.
Ochako backs away considerably, and almost tips back.
Looking behind, she realizes she's on the edge of the building. And it's a long drop.
Todoroki took this as an advantage, running towards her, both hands out, ready to push her, when she jumps up, and make them both float. She flips around, hands still holding heterochromia teen.
"Todoroki! I don't know what I've done, but please! I won't tell no one, let's just go back inside."
"Why does people like you..." Todoroki finally looks her in the eye. Ochako shudders. His eyes are dark, hazy, and his skin seemed too pale. He looked malnourished, dead inside, and ready to snap. ".. has to take everything good to me away?"
An icy chill runs up Ochako's right hand. Only it's not the dread of Todoroki's features.
Thick ice runs up Ochako's hand, and she groans. Todoroki raises his arms, then lowers them quick, slamming them both to the ground.
He puts Ochako's other hand into the ice flow, encasing them both.
She's basically immobilized, and she can't do anything but weakly pull as she's being overpowered.
Todoroki almost drag her to the edge, throwing her over it.
Ochako's crying crazingly now, trying to scream, even whimper, kicking the side of the building in hopes someone just happens to hear.
Todoroki watches as she tries to break away, safely still on the building.
He keeps his left side slightly warm, enough to keep himself from not getting frostbite.
Ochako gives up, tears still rolling heavily down her face.
She can't feel her fingers now, Todoroki can tell. He stops the ice flow.
He looks at her, though she isn't looking up at him.
Todoroki parts his lips, letting an icy breath fill the air.
He applies his fire side, melting the ice slowly.
Ochako knows this is her end, but she still entreats.
"If I knew you loved Deku like this... I would've stopped."
"Now we'll never know."
"Does he know about your Yandere side?" Todoroki shakes his head.
"He might never want to see me again if he knew. That I would kill people for him. I'd be heartbroken. That's why this'll be staged as a suicide." Todoroki smiles, putting a finger to his cheek, even croaking, making sure Ochako sees, which is... a pretty low blow.
"Kinds makes sense. You rejected Tsuyu's feelings. You felt such extreme guilt that you jumped off the building. Your quirk will be one of the main notions of why you did this. If you didn't apply your quirk, then it would be an indefinite suicide. Case closed." The ice is almost finished melting, and it started to crack.
Ochako sadly smiles. "For being someone dubbed oblivious and bland, you really thought about this. I think Midoriya's definitely going to like that."
Todoroki hummed. The ice cracked more frequently, chips trickling to the pavement below.
"Can I ask you one last thing?" Todoroki allows this.
She looks up at him. Her eyes dead like his, tears still running down her face. She has a smile, her teeth showing.
"Give Tsu-chan my condolences."
"I will. Have a nice fall."
The ice breaks, and Ochako is immediately pulled down towards the pavement.
10 seconds until she connects with it.
10..
Ochako tries to activate her quirk, but her hands and arms are blue, just flabby appendages.
9...
She thinks of a different way to land.
8...
On her back. No, she'll definitely break something, become a paraplegic. If the force doesn't crack open her head.
7...
Legs. No, they'll be shattered broken. If she survives, she can't run away, and Todoroki would surely finish the job.
6...
Got it! Ochako rubs her hands against each other to get the blood flowing.
5...
She beats her hands together.
4...
3...
Needle-like pinpricks dot her hands and she applies her quirk.
But it's too sluggish.
2...
It's weird... what is said in last thoughts.
She should've been thinking about her parents, Midoriya, Tsuyu, hell, everyone she ever knew.
But the only thing that went through her head was...
1...
'You're so amazing, Todoro-'
Thud!
Todoroki stared down at her lifeless body. The rain started to pour and mixed in with her blood.
Todoroki sighs, closing his eyes.
When he opens them again, his eyes are vibrant. He smiles. Not inhumanely, but a little smile.
Now he'll sleep peacefully.

Sneak Peek of the next chapter:
Inko places her hands on her face, sobbing silently into them. Midoriya drops his fork instantly, going up to her. Inko 's sudden outburst was because Midoriya told him about the supposed suicide. She would be so depressed if one of her friends died. Or her son. Or Yagi Toshinori.
"Mom? Why are you crying..." He runs his hand soothingly on her back.
"I-it's just- I feel so guilty Izuku!" She wipes her eyes.
"You had nothing to do with it," He assures her, though she knows she didn't.
"I-i know that! I don't know why I'm so sympathetic..."
"Trust me, it's a good quality. That's why people love you so much," Midoriya teases, but in truth if anyone touched his mother beside him or Toshinori, dubbed All Might, her boyfriend, they'd die at his hands.
His love for his mother was as strong as his love for Todoroki. But the relationship he wants with Todoroki would be way more sensual. Lustful, even.
His mother's voice snapped him out his thoughts. "Izuku... did you take your medication?"
