Chapter 44: Kisses (Alexander's POV)

"Is the door locked?" she chuckled.

I rushed to the door, locking it with a click before running back to Aria. I think both my head and my body were spinning a little out of control. I grabbed her throat, hard enough but not too hard, and pulled her closer, smashing my lips on hers.

She let out a short laugh when we pulled back to catch our breaths and then we resumed. "Aren't mom and dad downstairs?" she asked.

I smiled, kissing her harder.

She smiled against my lips, kissing me back.

"They're leaving in ten minutes," I mumbled between kisses. "They're going for evening tea and dinner tonight."

"So we'll be all alone in this huge palace all by ourselves? Until late night?"

I pulled back, looking at her, slightly surprised.

"I didn't insinuate anything when I asked you that," she laughed.

"Of course you did," I smirked. "But to answer your question, yes. We will be all alone."

"And they're leaving in ten minutes?"

I nodded.

"Then we can wait for ten minutes."

"What?" I whined, my eyes following her as she walked to the door and unlocked it.

"I feel awkward knowing that they're downstairs and we'd be up here..." she trailed off with a small shrug, sitting back down.

"Okay," I shrugged, pecking her lips.

She smiled against my lips before pulling away. "You're giving a lot of kisses today," she chuckled.

"I'm showering you with kisses today," I corrected.

"Yes, indeed you are. How come?"

"I told you I loved you without embarrassing myself, we're taking one step forward in our relationship and finally doing what we were meant to do on our wedding night, you love me back. Everything is going perfectly. Why wouldn't I shower you with kisses?" I arched a brow at her.

"So you're not even a little mad about what happened last night?" she questioned hesitantly.

I sighed, "I am. But not at you, at Adrian. The point is, I don't want to waste time on this great day talking about something as pathetic as him and his sister. When we see them next time, I'll handle him," I nodded.

"You'll confront him about it?" she said, cringing.

I nodded again. "And don't ask me not to, Aria."

"No, I won't. I wasn't going to. You have every right to be fuming as my husband. It makes sense."

Thank god she agrees. I was worried she'd try stopping me and we'd come to a disagreement which would cause us to argue brutally and become a bump in the road. Luckily, that won't be happening.

"Can I ask you something?" I want to change the topic to something much more positive.

She nodded.

"How many kids do you want?"

"No more than two," she answered.

"A boy and a girl?"

"Yes," she said slowly. "Why are you asking?"

"I'm just curious," I shrugged. "I was hoping we'd want the same thing."

"And do we?"

I smiled, "We do indeed."

She chuckled, brushing my hair back.

There was a knock on my door before it opened and my parents stood there. "We're leaving now, just thought we would let you know. We won't be back until late at night, hmm?" my dad said.

"Bye," I nodded.

"Have a fun night," Aria grinned.

"You too, bye," my mom sang as they closed my door and then left.

I sat still, counting to ten in my mind.

One Mississippi. Two Mississippi. Three Mississippi.

I shot up, rushing to the door, and locked it with a click once more. I heard her chuckle and when I turned around she was slowly shaking her head with a smile. I sat down in front of her kissing her cheek a few times.

She grinned, turning around to face me, my lips landing on hers.

"See," I mumbled between our kisses. "I didn't even wear a tie since you hate them so much."

"I can see that," she laughed, holding a fistful of my shirt and pulling me closer, back into the kiss.

I leaned forward and she leaned back, slowly lying down while I straddled her hips. I stayed on top of her but leaned down and kept the kiss going. She unbuttoned the first few buttons of my shirt and I opened the rest, breaking the kiss to lean back and shrug the shirt off. I pulled it off, tossing it on the floor without breaking eye contact with her.

She didn't even blink once and kept her eyes locked with mine while I did so.

"What?" I grinned, raising my eyebrows at her.

Her eyes drifted down to my chest, trailing down to my abdomen, stopping where my pants sat at my hipline and then coming back up. "I'm so glad you're my husband," she laughed.

That made me laugh too while I leaned forward, capturing her lips in another kiss. Her hands trailed down my chest, my torso, then back up and rested on my shoulders. When she pulled away to catch her breath, I leaned down, kissing her jaw, then her neck. Then I found a sweet spot right near her collarbone.

"Shit," she panted, applying just a little pressure to push me off but not enough to say that she wanted me to stop. I kissed a little harder and felt her nails digging lightly into my skin. I smiled against her skin, moving back to her lips. I grabbed her waist and rolled us over so she was on top.

She leaned down and kept the kiss going while my hand wandered to the back of her dress and undid the hooks. "Oh, only one hand?" she laughed, pulling back to look at me.

"Shut up," I grinned, pulling her back down, my fingers instinctively going to her throat because I know she likes it.

She lifted her hips and I lifted the dress so it sat at her waist which would make it easier to pull it over her head later.

I rested my hands on her waist and she pulled away, pressing a kiss to my jaw and then my neck like I had done to her but she came back to my lips quicker. I started lifting the dress and when it reached her midriff, she broke the kiss and sat upright, her knees on either side of my legs. I sat up too while she lifted her arms and I pulled the dress over her head, tossing it on the floor with my shirt. I flipped us back over so I was on top and started trailing kisses down her neck. I felt her heartbeat quicken and I could tell she held her breath when I kissed the sweet spot.

Maybe because she was expecting me to do more.

I nearly smiled but I kept going, trailing kisses lower. I trailed kisses down her chest, her stomach, and then came back up to her lips. When she arched her back off the bed, my hand went down to her back and found the clip of her bra.

"Wait, wait, wait," she said, extremely out of breath.

I stopped right there and pulled my hand away.

"I'm nervous, wait, wait, wait, wait."

"Okay," I said quickly, sitting in front of her, both of us catching our breaths.

She stared at the ceiling, her lips pulled into a thin line. She closed her eyes, letting out a breath. I could tell by looking at her and by her behavior that she needed a minute to prepare herself and to gather herself.

And as much as I wanted to say something that could comfort her, I know by now that there are certain times where she needs to talk to herself in her head a little before someone tells her anything. This is one of those moments.

"God, I'm sorry," she groaned, rubbing her temples.

"It's okay, Aria. It's completely normal, I'll wait. And we don't even have to right now if you don't want to." I grabbed her hand, scooting forward on the bed. "I love you," I reminded her. "I can wait for you if that's what you want. If you're not ready."

She shook her head quickly. "No. No, I want you. I just need to like... mentally prepare myself," she scoffed, shaking her head.

"Do you trust me?" I asked.

She looked up at me, nodding.

"Okay, I'll turn the lights off, okay?"

She was a little confused but nodded anyway.

I went and flicked all the switches off so that the only light was the light coming in through the white curtains. It was still bright out so it was enough to still see but at the same time, it was enough to calm her down a little. I sat in front of her, the room now a warm, burnt orange color from the sun that shone through the curtains. "Come here." I beckoned her over with a finger.

She was sitting on her knees so she inched forward.

"You trust me, right?" I asked, sitting directly in front of her, our faces merely inches away.

"Yes, I trust you," she chuckled.

I put my hands on her waist first, kissing her slowly. I slid my hands to her back, then to the clip of the bra and then I broke the kiss to look at her. "I'm going to take it off, okay?"

"No, take off your pants first," she argued.

"Okay," I laughed, unbuttoning the trousers and then sliding them off.

She nodded in approval.

"Now, can I take it off?"

She nodded a little hesitantly.

I held one of her hands in mine and kissed her, unclipping the bra with the other hand. I didn't slide it off of her immediately, nor did I break the kiss. I did that to make sure she wouldn't freak out and focused on the kiss itself. I pulled it off when she was focused on the kiss and pulled her closer. I looked at her eyes and only at her eyes. Otherwise, she would get flustered. "Is that okay?" I asked.

She nodded, her eyes flickering between my eyes and lips.

"Do you want me to keep going?"

"Yes," she nodded quickly.

I chuckled, kissing her again.
