#1. The Special Day

Life is a game, it doesn't go as you plan it. You have to go out of the way to get it done. There's no shorter way to achieve what you want. Sometimes, things become easy while at times, you have to work harder to get things done. However, when you have your loved ones by your side, life becomes easy. All the problems seem small in front of the love you're surrounded by.

Such is the story of a much-in-love couple, Natasha and Aaryamann Mittal. They've been through many hardships on individual levels and it repeated when they married. There's is a love marriage, and they dote on each other completely. However, even after marriage, their hardships didn't end. But, with the love they hold for each-other, they navigated through life. And here they are, celebrating first birthday of their little angel, their daughter, Nitya.

Natasha comes out of her trance, with a warm touch on her shoulder. As she looks up, she finds her husband beaming at her. Aaryamann's smile has always comforted her, even in the toughest situations. His smile has been a beacon of hope and strength to her. He sits beside her on the window seat, and passes her a mug of coffee. His gaze is fixed on her, and he puts forth his first question.

"Kya hua, Natasha, kya soch rahi ho?" He asks, his tone gentle.

"Aarya, maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki hum iss mukaam tak pahuch payenge, hamari beti ka pehla janamdin hai aaj," She says, her tone laced with emotion.

"Kyun nahi aate? Kya hamara pyaar kaafi nahi hai tumhare liye?" He asks, his gaze fixated on her.

"Aisi baat nahi hai, lekin mujhe darr lagta tha. Main sach keh rahi hun, main tumhe tumhare parivar se alag karne nahi aayi thi, Aaryamann, lekin sabko aisa hi lagta hai," She says, remembering the old days of distraught.

"Taashu, tum aisa kyun soch rahi ho ki tumne mujhe mere parivar se alag kiya hai? Aisa nahi hai. Jo maine tum mein dekha hai na, vo log kabhi nahi dekh paayenge, kyunki unhe pata hi nahi hai ki pyar kya hota hai. Pyar rishtey todta nahi, banata hai, Tashu, please aaj ke din vo sab mat socho," He says, his tone gentle, as he reaches out to hold her hands.

Taashu is a nickname that he suggested for her when they were dating, and she started calling him Aarya, because, she, somehow, liked the sound and aura of it. She looks at him, her eyes filled with emotions, she just hugs him, as they together look at their daughter, who's fast asleep on the bed. Natasha is the first one to break the hug and she looks at him, her lips curving into a smile. She pecks a kiss on his cheek and thanks him.

"Pati ko kaun thanks kaun bolta hai?" He rolls his eyes at her, causing her to giggle.

"Main bolti hoon, kyunki my husband is the best! Sach mein, Aarya, I don't know what would have I done without you, agar tum step nahi lete, toh hum yahan nahi hote," She says, as she moves towards the bed and slides in beside her daughter.

Aaryamann adores them as Natasha kisses Nitya on her head, and he walks toward the bed, sitting beside his wife and daughter.

"You're the best thing that has happened to me, Tashu, and then this little princess, sach mein, agar zindagi ne dukh diye, toh khush rehne ki 2 wajahein bhi unhone hi di hain na," He says, his words seem simple but hold a deep meaning.

Natasha nods understandingly. Of course she is glad to have him in her life, and there's nothing more that she requires. Life is good.

Letting Nitya sleep, Aaryamann and Natasha take chances to decorate the room. Being the excited being he is, Aaryamann has decorated the whole house with pink and white balloons, and fairy lights. A corner in their room is filled with new toys for their baby girl. He looks more excited than his daughter. Natasha shakes her head seeing his excitement.

"Aisa lag raha hai ki Nitya ka nahi tumhara birthday hai," She says, letting out a chuckle.

"Toh? You're forgetting Taashu, bhale hi meri Princess ka first birthday hai, par as parents hamara bhi toh first birthday hai na, we should be excited," Aaryamann explains, his tone laced with love.

"Okay, Mr Mittal, I agree. Toh agar sab taiyari ho gai hai, toh Princess ko jagaya jaye?" She asks, her tone mischevious.

Aaryamann nods, smiling at his wife's words. Though, it's their daughter's first birthday, they hadn't invited anyone. Natasha wanted to invite his family, at least for Nitya, but he disagreed. She trails down the conversation they had a few days ago.

Natasha is entertaining Nitya in the bedroom. The little girl is playing with her mother, imitating her, for, this is the only thing she can do. On the other hand, Natasha is also writing something in her diary. Aaryamann enters the room and smiles at the scene unfolding before him. He slides on the bed and scoops Nitya in his arms and begins to talks with her, followed by a soft coo from her. As they look at Natasha, they find her jotting points in her diary.

"Kya kar rahi ho?" Aaryamann asks, his gaze curious.

"Next week hamari Gudiya ka birthday hai, toh bas usi ki planning kar rahi hoon," She smiles.

"Oh, birthday matlab party and gifts, haan! Wow! Maza aayega," Aaryamann says, his tone laced with excitement.

"Han, lekin tumhara nahi Nitya ka birthday hai. Aur maine decide kia hai ki hum Nitya ke Dada-dadi ko bhi bulayenge," Natasha says, her tone soft.

"Kyun?" He asks, rolling his eyes at her.

"Kyunki meri gudiya unka pyaar bhi deserve karti hai, Aarya. Vo mujhe na apnaye, isse muh nahi mod paayenge," She retorts, her tone soft.

"Lekin, kyun, Taashu? Tum jaanti ho na un logon ne kya kya kaha hai tumhe? Phir bhi tum unhe bulana chahti ho, Maa sirf scenes create karengi," He says, his tone loud.

"Aaryamann, samajhne ki koshish karo, they..." before she could complete, he interrupts.

"Tum samajhne ki koshish karo, Nitya ka janamdin sirf hum manayenge. Jo log mujhe ya mera pyaar nahi samajh sakte, mujhe wo log mere ghar mein nahi chahiye. And honestly, you're not the reason for it, Taashu, trust me," He says, his tone laced with emotion.

Natasha sighs deeply, she says nothing but agrees to him. When he has decided something, she can't go against him. After all, he has done a lot for her, and she doesn't intend to hurt him anymore.

Natasha comes out of her reverie with two voices echoing in the room. She looks ahead, only to find that her daughter is awake and is now cradled in her father's arms. She is chuckling while her dad is smothering her with kisses.

She walks toward them, and kisses Nitya on her cheeks. She knows that she might not understand their words, but she surely knows that her day means a great deal to her parents. Natasha makes her party ready, adorning her in a pink frock, that she chose for her daughter.

She makes her hair and in the meanwhile, Aaryamann adds a tiara made of flowers on her head, making her look exactly like a princess.

As her parents adore her, Nitya chuckles, clearly enjoying the attention that her parents are giving to her. They take her outside, and the girl chuckles intaking all the decors, and the balloons. She struggles to get free from her father's arms, and he obliges, leaving her on the floor. She crawls toward the balloons, and upon holding it, she chuckles loudly. Aaryamann and Natasha adore her and watch her play.

Soonish, Natasha brings in the cake, it's in shape of 1, for the girl has turned one year old. Little Nitya chuckles on seeing it, and is about to smash it with her small hand, but Aaryamann lifts her in his arms. They cut the cake together, and finally the little girl smashes the cake with her hand, causing her parents to laugh.

They further open the gifts for the little girl, who is more than amused. It seems like her parents have brought the whole toy store for her. All they could hear was her squeals and chuckles, and it only doubled their happiness.

However, after playing with her parents, the little girl soon starts to fall sleepy and she turns to her mother for the peace she deserves. Natasha holds Nitya in her arms, and the girl rests her shoulder on her mom's chest and soon falls asleep.

Natasha makes her sleep in the middle of bed and covers her with the duvet. She then turns around only to find Aaryamann glancing at her. She walks toward him, and looks at her husband, who's smiling fondly.

"Kya dekh rahe ho? " she asks.

"At the Tapestry of love that we've painted together, Taashu, with all our love, " he says, his tone laced with emotion.

She smiles and leans into his embrace. Truly, Aaryamann and Nitya are the only treasures that she owns and she's promised herself that she won't let anyone take away her precious loves.
