The second part
Annabeth Chase came to me. I had supported her, Percy, Thalia and the others in the Second Titan War. I had fought with them and watched people die with them.
"Hello Emily," Annabeth kept some distance, "I wanted to talk to you about the new cabin for your mother and more children of Nyx."
Like I'm going to have more half-siblings. Mother lives in her mansion of the night, in Tatarus and hardly leaves it except for Divine tasks. My mother and her power is the reason why most people avoid me.
It had something positive to have her as a mother, the dark aura that surrounded me attracted monsters and that monsters could I use as followers and servants.
But that only works with monsters from the underworld.
"I want to show it to you, it's ready," Annabeth explained.
It was completely black, which fit well, above the door was a white moon that shone. When Annabeth opened the door and let me in, she said "I did leave it so bare so you can decorate it how you want. I'll leave you to it then."
And with that she left. There were three bedrooms and a sitting area. The bedrooms weren't really very big. There was a bed and a table and chair in the rooms. Under the bed there was storage space for clothes on the walls there were boards to put books or something. The cabin also had a bathroom. I had to admit, much better than the big cabin's of the Olympians. There was hardly any space there, you didn't have a bathroom, you always had to use the communal bathroom. This one was a huge upgrade.
After getting my stuff out of the Hermes cabin and choosing one of the three rooms, I got ready to go to sleep right away.
_With the Avengers_.
It wasn't just a nightmare, it was real.
Tony was completely done with his life. But, when wasn't he? He was standing in his workshop, tinkering with something. He didn't even know what. Until Steve came to him. "You want to talk about it?" he asked.
Tony expelled a breath, "No, not really."
"Come on Tony, you can't just keep this bottled up," Steve said.
Tony knew Steve was right, he sighed and put his screwdriver away. "Sophie and Emily were my support. I knew I couldn't overdo it with the alcohol. After I had them, I cut back on my drinking. I had a reason to live. When the news came that someone had run amok at the school, blowing himself and the students up on the top floor, I was about to end my life, too. Sophie and Emily's class had math on the top floor. They were pronounced dead, as were the rest of the students in the room. They could never have survived, the entire floor blew up. It doesn't exist anymore. And had they survived the explosion, they both would have fallen down the remaining four floors, no one can survive that, not even them," Tony cried.
"Do you know what it's like to lose your children? Because of two idiots? And then the press follows you around for weeks, asking you stupid questions, and you actually want your peace? Then to be told years later that they're alive after all? And are probably terrorists?"
Tony almost broke down. And no, Steve had no idea what that was like. He didn't have kids. He'd lost people, too, but not his own kids.
_-2 years and 7 months earlier-_
(This time from Sophie's point of view).
I looked at Emily, she was sitting in math all by herself in a corner. Like in every subject, really. Nobody really wanted to have anything to do with her. I actually felt sorry for her. "Why are you looking at your loser sister?," asked Jeanette, one of my 'friends'. Actually, they were more like one of those 'we're hanging out with a Stark for fame' people. "Oh nothing," I said. "Does she have a pimple there? So obvious on her cheek?" laughed Jana. "Oh yeah, there! I see it!" laughed Jeanette. But her laughter was immediately interrupted. Not by the teacher. But by gunshots. "Everyone under the desks!" the teacher ordered. It took less than 10 seconds and the gunshots were now outside the classroom. The teacher already had the police on her cell phone when two people came into the classroom. One was carrying a gun, the other had his body wired. A bomb.
I now saw Emily next to me. She had crawled over to me. "Shadow travel." she muttered. I nodded. Emily grabbed my arm and took us out of here. In the distance, we saw the school collapse. I could have used my charm speak. Could have convinced them to let it go, but no. I let Emily carry me away comfortably. "Come with me, someone is planning to murder you," came from the side. There stood Grover Underwood. A satyr from Camp Half-blood.
