This is an oc of mines story who is in one of my friends stories. when i was watching a video called a tale of one shadow it gave me the idea to write this because its about my ocs father and mother.(Link will be posted and also video will be in media also a picture will eventually be posted of her looks)

Chapter 1 The beginning

This is a story, a story of my family, my life, and how I came to be crystal shards. My father was a well known pony, kind and loving towards his pony subjects but eventually he was overtaken by one of the worst darkness's and evil in this world: greed. My fathers name is King Sombra, my mother's Amber Leaf, and I am crystal shards, and this is our story.

How it began:

The snow was falling hard down on the crystal empire as a small frail young pony(my mother) trailed through the deep snow leaving her hoof prints in the distance as she ran. My father had left earlier without telling my mother which left her heartbroken and she being the stubborn mare she was refused to let him go, because you see, my mother was pregnant. It was supposed to a be a secret and she was planning on telling him, but she never got the chance to before the "incident" happened. Anyways back to the story, my mother eventually catches up to him. My father turned around with a threatening glance thinking my mother was somepony else, but immediately when he saw her his facial expressions softened. My mother talked to him for a small amount of time begged him to come back, he didnt say anything and just teleported his red scarf onto her neck. After that my mother eventually convinced him to come back and he buried himself into his studies. One day my father was trying magic and he had lost his anger and it caused his magic to go haywire and it backfired on my father and caused a large explosion. My mother rushed in to his aid and luckily he wasn't that injured, but later on after my father learned what he needed told my mother not to follow him and that he may not return. This worried my mother so she of course followed him to a snow covered hill that overlooked an ice covered lake, and what she saw next would change her life forever.
