Flashback continued .....

Those few hours, how can you describe those life changing hours ? No one can even imagine that a new phase of life can be started within few hours. We kept on thinking about our future but life played another game with us. We didn't realised when we fell for the trap that destiny laid for us and when we escaped from that trap, we realised that everything is changed now. Same was the case with Avni and Neil.

They melted into each other's embrace and healed their shattered selves but they were unknown to the upcoming situations that will be the product of the recent happenings.

Their bodies were fused into each other, depicting the intensity with which they have coloured each other in the colour named as love. Their colourless life have became colourful again. No one was able to stop the union of two craving souls but intoxication curse will break eventually and this will lead to the most awaited realisation.

Neil was lying on the floor while Avni was lying on him, both were entangled with each other intimately and their upper bodies were covered with Neil's shirt. They both were in deep slumber unknown to their surroundings, lost within each other's arms. Inhaling each other's cologne, surrounding in the most comfortable warmth, intertwine within their most purest form, the united souls were deprived of any worries. After so many years they got a peaceful sleep that they literally craved for all the time.

Avni was the first one to wake up from her peaceful sleep and lifted her head from Neil's chest in order to gaze the surroundings with one hand on her head which was paining badly and another hand on Neil's chest for taking his support. She was wincing in pain and felt as if her head is spinning terribly. After gazing the surroundings for sometime, her eyes landed upon the man who was lying beneath her and this was enough for sending shivers down her spine.

She immediately got up and removed Neil's shirt which was covering their upper bodies, she sat on the floor with her palms covering her mouth and her breathing became abnormal after watching the most unexpected events that took place in her life. Realisation strikes hard when she saw that both of them were naked and concluded what happened between them. Her mind wasn't having mercy on her and started playing the flashes of holi party and how they both crossed all the boundaries between them.

Tears paved their way from her eyes and literally bit her inner cheeks in order to suppress her sobs which may wake up Neil and facing him at this time is the last thing she wanted. She shook her hear vigorously in disbelief and disappointment. She was angry on herself for doing all this. Though, she wanted to break Riya's marriage but she never wanted this situation, she can't even think about getting intimate with Riya's fiancee. She thought that Neil will blame her for all this so running away from here will be the best option in her point of view.

She tried to get up but fell down instantly after feeling pain in her lower abdomen. This was enough for clarifying that she isn't dreaming and everything that she was assuming have happened between them that too mutually. She got up again with some difficulty and dressed up in her clothes that were scattered here and there. She covered Neil with his shirt and was about to go towards the door but stopped.

Avni - ( in mind ) If someone will come inside and see Neil in this form then they will get to know that something have happened here. Door is locked from inside so Neil is safe here. I have to find some other way.

She saw a small window and decided to escape from there. She was limping but somehow managed to escape from that window. As soon as she came out, she saw that everyone was in deep slumber and Dayavanti was moving inside the mansion. Though she was emotionally low still she can't ignore her mission which is the only reason for her survival. She followed her silently and hid behind a pillar.

Dayavanti - ( at call ) Yes, Amol will be coming after 1 month, so make sure that everything is perfect. I don't want any problem for him.

Avni was shocked and her eyes welled up with tears after listening about her brother's arrival. The call ended and Avni left from there carefully.

She sat inside her car and finally  broke down. The emotions that she was hiding since long time came out in the form of tears. She was herself confused, which emotion she needs to express at this moment ? Happy cos her brother is returning back, sad regarding whatever happened between her and Neil or angry for losing herself within his embrace. She was crying terribly in massive guilt but soon she composed herself when she saw her  Neela maa's call. She wiped her tears and answered her call.

Avni - Hello !! ( choked voice )

Neela - Avni bacha you are crying. ( shocked )

Avni - No.

Neela - Don't lie.

Avni - Ma, I am coming home.

Saying this she cut the call and drove towards her home.

On the other side, Neil woke up and his condition was similar to Avni, he looked around with blurry vision and flinched in pain as his head was paining terribly. After few minutes he realised that he is in washroom and was trying to remember all the happenings and how he ended up being here, he buried his face in his palms as he wasn't able to understand  what occurred with him. Then, he looked himself and became shocked. He was naked and this was enough for plotting a seed of suspense in his mind. He tried hard to think what's happening with him and when reality strikes hard, it shakes the ground beneath your foot. Neil facepalm himself in frustration.

Neil - How can I do this ? ( rubs his hand in his hairs ) How can I betray Riya ? And Ananya, where is she ?

He looked around in order to get a glimpse of Avni.

Neil - What she will be thinking about me ? How can I do this ? I crossed all my limits. I....I.... have to talk to her. ( determined )

He got up and put on his clothes. He went out of the washroom and searched the entire mansion and garden but  didn't found her.

He sat on the chair with helplessness running in his veins, head throbbing with frustration, his heart clenched with pain, his eyes reflecting guilt while tears were reflecting the absence of the person who completed him in his intoxicated state.

He buries his face in his palms and cries bitterly. His eyes were bloodshot red while face was covered in guilt. He closed his eyes and his brain was playing the flashes of that newly found intimacy. Soon, he was brought out from his misery when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He looked up and found Shweta standing there with worried expressions.

After seeing her son's condition, she became shocked. She sat beside him and engulfed him in a comforting hug while Neil clutches to her like a baby who is searching for his mother's warmth so that he can get solution to his problem. Shweta caress his hairs lovingly and he broke down in her arms. Shweta was worried for him but remain silent as she wanted him to compose himself.

After what felt like ages, they broke the hug and Shweta cups his face.

Shweta - What happened tillu ? Why are you crying ?

Neil was silent, he didn't want to tell whatever happened to his mother.

Shweta - You are not happy with this wedding. Right ?

Neil looked at her shocked.

Shweta - You are doing this for your dad. You haven't moved on from your past.

Neil - Past is not the problem mom. Someday or the other, I have to forget Juhi and I am trying my best to do so but..... ( tears rolling down from his eyes )

Shweta - But ?

Neil - Present have trapped me in its complicated webs. I don't know how to come out from this mess. I am captured in these suffocated situations.

Shweta - ( sighs ) What you want to say Neil ?

Neil - I myself don't know.

Shweta - You want to marry Riya ?

Neil - I don't think, this is a good option.
( in mind ) I have betrayed her, it wasn't my intention still I can't change the fact.

Shweta - Even I don't like her cos I don't think she can give you the love that you deserve. She is not right for you but I want to ask you, are you ready to accept her as your soulmate ?

Neil - At this situation, I myself don't know what is right, what is wrong. I am spinning in the whirlpool of problems.

Shweta - I don't know what's bothering you and I think you don't want to share it with me at this moment but all I can suggest is, think before taking any decision. It's your life Neil and you are the one who should take decisions for yourself as you have to face everything in future.

Neil nods and left from there.

Neil - I have to talk to Ananya. I can't leave this topic so easily.

He tried to call her but her mobile was switched off.

Neil - Damm !! ( frustrated ) I hope she is fine. ( concerned ) God !! Please show me some way. Please. ( helpless )

The screeching sound of the tyres were enough for indicating the worried Neela sitting in the living room to run towards the main door of her house in order to see what's wrong with her daughter. She know very well that Avni is upset over something and she is all ready with the trail of questions which are clouding her brain after that phonic conversation.

As soon as the door was opened, Avni was bombarded with tons of questions from her dear mother but she was standing there numb. Neela's concern have exceeded the limit now after seeing her daughter standing numb there.

Neela - Avni bacha... why .....

Before she can complete her sentence, Avni ran towards her room and locked herself inside. She slid against the door and cried her heart out. Neela was banging the door continuously but all she heard were mild sobbing of Avni.

Avni - Ma ... please leave me alone. Please. For sometime, don't ask me anything. Let me compose myself. ( crying )

Though, Neela was worried but she understood her daughter's state and decided to give her some time.

Avni - Whatever happened today is making me remind of Ayesha ma and Ashish Mehta. ( crying ). I want to run away from my past but it keeps on haunting me like a shadow. Please stop haunting me, I can't bare this anymore. Please. ( crying )

Just a mere thought of her past and she was connecting her past with her present which was enough for making her feel guilty and she was crying bitterly.

After crying for sometime, she became numb. She was sitting on the floor with tear stained face and lost in her own world.

Avni - I need to ignore Neil. I can't let him become my weakness. I am here for destroying Dayavanti Mehta and for rescuing my brother from Dayavanti's evil clutches. I need to stay away from Neil. Whatever happened today was a mistake and I need to forget it.

She washed her face and went out of the room. Neela who was waiting for her came towards her. Avni held her hand and pulled her inside the room. Avni made her sit on the bed and she kept her head in her lap. Neela was caressing her hairs lovingly.

Neela - What happened bacha ? ( softly )

Avni - I walked in a wrong direction maa, a direction which is not meant for me.

Neela - Avni...

Avni - Maa, Aman will come back after 1 month. We need to focus on our mission.

Neela - Don't you want to share anything else ?

Avni - Its not the right time maa.

Neela - Then tell me when you are comfortable. Okay ?

Avni nods while Neela kissed her forehead.

I badly needed some breather after tiring exam of food science. 😶😶
What's better than wattpad ? 😉

One thing, I want to clear is the flashback is written via Neil's and author POV. If I would have written it from both avneil's POV then it would become lengthy and monotonous.

How was the update ? Do drop your views. 💕💕

Also, I have made Shweta's character sensible which was lacking in the show especially during initial episodes.
