Avni's POV

Life is an unpredictable event where you don't know what will happen next. You keep on thinking about your future but unknown to you destiny have pre planned each and every event that will take place with you. I have realised this thing today only or maybe during the holi party. I kept on ignoring Neil thinking that he will create hurdles in my revenge but today I am standing on the edge where I can't ignore him anymore because a part of him is connected with me and is considered as the symbol of that togetherness that we shared with each other in an intoxicated state. I am just going with the flow at this moment cos I am feeling a kind of helplessness infront of this unexpected situation. I just want to surrender myself to my destiny but I fear my fate, I fear my past. I am afraid that I will have the same fate like my Ayesha ma. I know, I can trust Neil but I can't trust my destiny. From now onwards, I will try to take small steps towards my destination with little amount of trust. The trust that Neil have triggered within my heart. I just hope that he won't betray me like my father does to my mother. I hope that he will accept Avni Ayesha hidden inside this strong Ananya Verma. I am living with these small hopes which are quite risky for my already broken heart but I am taking this risk cos Neil have given me alot of reasons to trust him once.

Avni was sitting on a park's bench lost in her thoughts. Neil came back from a cafe with some foodstuffs in his hand. He saw her lost and this was nothing less than a pang in his heart. He knew that somewhere she is forced to live with him throughout her life but they both don't have any other option. For the sake of their baby, they need to accept each other and he is determined enough to give her and their baby a happy life. He kept his hand on her shoulder, she jerked at the sudden touch and came out from her thoughts. She looked at him while he passed a smile to her.

He sat beside her and forward a small box containing sandwiches and a glass of juice to her. She looked at him and nodded in no.

Avni - I don't want to eat.

Neil sighs.

Neil - Eat something, you haven't ate anything in the afternoon.

Avni remain silent. Neil held her hand and caressed her knuckles gently.

Neil - What's bothering you ? You can tell me, we will find a solution regarding your problem but don't ignore your health Ananya. You are not alone now. ( soft tone )

Avni wasn't knowing how to express the amount of respect she is having for this man. He is taking care of each and everything since they got to know about her pregnancy. He spent atleast half an hour in doctor's cabin, noting down each and everything that needs to be taken care during her pregnancy and when Avni demanded some fresh air, he brought her in a park and himself went for fetching something to eat from a cafe located near the park.

Neil - You can stare me later on but right now you need to eat as I don't want to starve my baby.

Saying this he extended the sandwich towards her mouth asking her to eat it. She wasn't able to deny his request so she ate the sandwich without any further argument. After finishing their food, Neil drop another shocker for Avni.

Neil - We both are going to Khanna mansion, I want to talk to my parents regarding our marriage.

Avni - So early ? ( shocked )

Neil - We don't have much time Ananya. I will never invade your private life. Even after our marriage we will stay like friends.

Avni - Neil, I... I. .understand, you are doing this for our baby, for our better life. Still, it is difficult for me to accept all these new changes. I ..... I.... don't believe in marriages. ( a lone tear escapes from her eyes )

Neil wipes her tear via his thumb pad.

Neil - I know it's all new to you but I am also new to these events. Ananya, I don't know why you don't believe in marriage and I won't even ask you the reason but I want you to give me a chance. I will be there with you at each and every step, you are not alone always remember that.

Avni - Will your family accept me and our baby ? I mean..... ( Neil cuts her in between )

Neil - For that we need to face them. We can't live on assumptions. Steps are required for searching the answers to our questions.

Avni - I want to tell you something before starting any other relation Neil. I am doing this for our baby and I don't know if I would be able to manage this relation as your wife. You still have time, think about all these situations. I don't want to make you suffer in any way.

Neil - Since that day, I was running behind you so that we can sort this matter but you were ignoring me. Today, when this unexpected news changed our life, you are still expecting me to stay away from you. Right ?

Avni didn't said anything, she wasn't able to meet his gaze. He lift her chin with the tip of his finger and made her face him.

Neil - Running away is not an option Ananya, several situations will come into your life, how much will you run away. You need to face your fears at some point of time. You don't believe in relationships, I won't force you to accept me as your husband until and unless your heart says so. Atleast you can consider me as your friend.

Avni - Will you remain with me forever ? ( broken voice ) You will never leave me.

Neil - You will always find me beside you holding your hand and walking along with you just like your shadow. It's a promise.

Avni was going through trail of emotions, at this moment she didn't knew what to do, she just threw herself in his arms crying her heart out in his arms. He was just caressing her hairs while holding her tightly. He didn't stopped her as he wanted her to free herself from the turmoil that is haunting her from inside.

Mehta mansion

Riya woke up from her deep slumber and looked around in order to get some idea regarding her surroundings.

Riya - How I slept ? ( confused ) Where is Neil ?

She checked the entire room and didn't found anyone else. She pulled out the camera from a flower pot lying there and found that it wasn't working.

Riya - Shit !! The entire plan is flopped. Now, dadi won't leave me. ( scared ) Where is Neil ? Why he left me alone when I became drowsy ? God !! What he will be thinking regarding me ? ( scared ) Let me call Ananya, only she can help me for sorting out this entire mess.

She dialled Avni's number, on the other side Avni was sitting inside Neil's car and both were driving towards Khanna mansion. She reverted Riya's call and Riya started her crying drama.

Riya - Ananya where are you ? I need you.

Avni knew why she wants her help now.

Avni - What happened ?

Riya - You come to my home.

Avni - I will come tomorrow. Right now I am busy.

Riya - But....

Before she can speak anything else, Avni disconnected the call in frustration. She was already tired cos of her hectic day and ontop of that her pregnancy mood swings were acting as fuel to fire. Neil noticed her anger and turned on the music player for lifting up her mood.

As soon as the soft musical notes hits her ears, she relaxed her tensed up muscles and closed her eyes feeling the soft tune and magical notes. Neil smiles as he knew that she is pretty much relax and comfortable now.

Mehta mansion

Dayavanti entered the house along with other family members. Dayavanti and Diksha went to Riya's room while Hetal and Ketan went to their own room. As soon as she opened the door of Riya's room, disappointed slaps her face harshly. Riya was sitting there with a crying face, while looking at room's neat and clean condition, she made out that Riya flopped their entire plan. She was very angry on Riya and moved towards her with rage visible in her eyes and her nostrils flaring high amount of anger.

Riya - Dadi I.....

Before she can speak anything, her face was welcomed with a tight slap. She held her cheek while tears were flowing from her eyes.

Dayavanti - You are not able to do one single task. ( yelled at her ) Neil is already having second thoughts regarding this marriage that is why he delayed the wedding. I am afraid that he will back off. You weren't able to seduce him. ( roared at her ). This was the most powerful weapon that we would have used against him but I forgot that you are good for nothing.

Saying this she left the room in frustration.

Khanna mansion

Neil and Avni were standing at the main entrance of Khanna mansion. Avni was very scared as she was getting bad vibes, the way Mehta family rejected her mother was playing in her head. She was afraid that Khanna family will insult her and her baby.

Neil held her shivering hand in his warm one and assured her through his eyes that everything will be fine. They both moved inside the house still holding each other's hands. The entire Khanna family was sitting in living room talking with each other.

Shweta was the first one to spot avneil coming inside the living room.

Shweta - Neil, Ananya ...

Everyone saw them and stood up. Their gaze shifted on their entwined hands. Avni saw this and tried to remove her hand from his grip but Neil held her hand more tightly.

Neil - I want to confess something.......
