Soon, Neil and Avni reached Khanna's mansion where Neela ma along with the Khanna family was waiting for them. As soon as they stepped inside the house, the smile on the faces of family members was replaced with a look of concern. 

Shweta - Neil, what happened to you? How did you get injured? (concerned)

Neil - My lovely mom, relax it was a small accident. (smiles)

Bebe - How can you expect us to relax? Tell us what happened Neil. 

Neela was looking at Avni in a hope that she informed Neil about Aman's deed. She knows very well that Avni loves Aman a lot and for him, she kept patience to deal with everything all these years, she can sacrifice herself for protecting him but at this moment he doesn't deserve forgiveness, he deserves punishment for the hideous crime he committed and Avni need to be selfish for once and care about her life partner. She will betray the man who respects her the most for someone who is nothing but a spoilt brat at this moment. Neela doesn't want Avni to make any wrong decisions. 

Neil - Bebe, it was a hit and run case. Dayavanti's grandson Anmol Mehta was drunk when he was driving the car fortunately Ananya handled everything and recognized the culprit. 

Neela smiles and nods at Avni who just passes a small smile to her. 

Prakash - This family is hell-bent on spoiling our lives. (anger) 

Avni flinches a bit as somewhere even she is associated with this disgusting family due to her spineless father. 

Shweta - Don't spare him, Neil, he deserves to be in lock-up. 

Neil - Don't worry mom, I will manage everything. (smiles)

Bebe - Let's forget about this topic for now. Ananya, come here dear. (smiles)

Avni smiles at her and walks towards her. Bebe hugs her and asked about her health to which she replied positively, after exchanging greetings with everyone, Avni and Neil went inside their room for taking some rest. 

Neil was talking with DD on the phone when Avni came out of the washroom after changing her clothes. She opened the box that contained medicines recommended for Neil by the doctor. She was shocked when she saw that Neil hasn't taken one of the medicine in the morning. This man is too much, first, he didn't take his tablet and then he lied to her about the same. 

Neil - Do you want me to come to police station DD? Or you can...

Before he can complete his sentence, Avni snatched the mobile from his hand making him surprised. 

Avni - DD, today your Neil sir won't be coming to the police station so please manage one more day without him. He isn't fully recovered but this workaholic man never goes out of style. (while glaring at Neil.)

DD - Don't worry bhabhi, I will manage. 

Avni - Thanks. 

She cuts the call and looked at Neil who was looking at her with a shocked face. 

Neil - You are looking angry. (frown)

Avni - And who is the reason behind the same? (raises her eyebrows)

Neil - Mood swings? (unknowingly)

Avni - What? (snaps)

Neil - Ah...a...a...I...I am the reason but what have I done? (skeptical)

Avni showed him the medicine 

Avni - Why you didn't take your medicine in the morning? 

Neil gulps down in fear as he knows very well that lady don won't spare him. 

Neil - It makes me drowsy so I didn't consume it in the morning. 

Avni - But why Neil? I drove the car so it would have been okay if you were drowsy. (frowns)

Neil smiles and wraps his hands around her waist before pulling her closer to himself. 

Neil - Then who would have enjoyed the precious moments with you, Mrs. Khanna? (huskily)

Avni gasps as his fingertips drew soft patterns on her waist and his warm breath was fanning her face making her bask in the tranquility emitted by his persona. He tucks her hair behind her ear and cups her cheeks gently making her feel the amount of care he holds within his heart just for her. 

Neil - And I was drowsy throughout our honeymoon wifey, you are so damn addictive. (huskily)

Avni's mouth flung open and she pulls him away gently making him smile mischievously as her face emitted his favorite tone of red hue that adds four moons to her beauty. 

Avni - So cheesy, Mr. Neil Khanna. (not meeting his gaze)

Neil - Sometimes, it makes you smile while most of the time it makes you blush. So, my cheesiness is quite worthy. (winks at her)

Saying this he lies down on the bed while looking at her lovingly. 

Avni quietly walks towards the cupboard and pulls out a first aid box. She sits beside Neil on the bed. He was about to sit but Avni held his shoulders and made him lie down once again. 

Avni - I just want to dress your wound. 

He nods while she removes his bandage and gauze ever so gently, Neil was lost into her while she flinched after seeing his wound. She cleaned his wound with disinfectant and applied an antibiotic cream before wrapping a bandage around his head. 

Avni - Was it painful? (concerned)

Neil shakes his head negatively making her release a sigh of relief. She was about to get up when Neil stopped her and pulled her closer. 

Neil - You know, everything still feels like a dream. (cupping her face) But then I have to assure myself that everything is a beautiful reality. You are my beautiful reality, never thought that the girl with whom I fell into the water will seal my fate with sudden yet precious moments. Thanks for being there for me Ananya. (smiles)

Avni was about to say something when they both heard some noise and turned around only to find Neela standing with her back facing them. Avni immediately moves away from him and tried to say something but Neela beat her into it. 

Neela - I am sorry, I just wanted to talk to Ananya but...

Avni - I am coming ma. 

Neela nods and went away as soon as possible. Neil was about to hold Avni's hand again but she moved away and got out of the bed. 

Avni - Neil you are... (he cuts her off)

Neil - Shameless, too much, impossible, etc. I am used to all these words wifey. Try something new. (smirks)

Avni - Idiot. (huffs)

She moves out of the room making him laugh at her cuteness. 

Neil - Idiot, a new word added in wifey's special dictionary. Ananya's idiot is much better, by the way. (smiles)

Avni came to the garden where Neela was waiting for her. 

Avni - Ma, whatever you saw...

Neela - I don't want any sort of details Avni or else I will get embarrassed. (dramatically)

Avni - Ma, we were just...

Neela - Oh Avni, it is your bedroom bacha, you can do whatever you want just lock the door from next time. Okay? (teasingly)

Avni - Both you and Neil resemble in teasing me whenever you get a chance. (huffs)

Neela laughs at her. 

Neela - You know, how much happy I am Avni. You're finally exploring a new phase of life that will give you the immense happiness that you deserve. (smiles)

Avni looks at her silently.

Neela - You made a good decision, Avni. I am proud of you. 

Avni - Don't know what will happen tomorrow. (sighs)

Neela - Everything will be fine, just wait and watch. 

Avni nods.

Next morning

Neil opened his eyes and found his wifey locked within his arms, he caresses her face softly and admires her face lovingly. 

Neil - I am converting into a creep these days, but can anyone blame me for the same? 

He felt her movements so he tightened his hold around her waist and pretended to sleep. Avni woke up and looked at their position, she tried to come out of his hold but he pulled her more closer while pretending to sleep.

Avni - Is he an iron man or what? (mumbling while trying to free herself from his hold.) 

Neil suppressed his smile with great difficulty so he loosened his hold on her letting her get up in order to save himself from lady don's aura. After Avni went inside the washroom, Neil got up and went for a jog.

Avni came out after bathing and found that the bed was empty so she went downstairs assuming that Neil might have gone for a jog. She found that Shweta and Bebe were working in the kitchen. 

Avni - Ma, Bebe, good morning. 

Shweta - Ananya, good morning. (happily)

Avni - How can I help you both? 

Bebe - It's okay, Ananya, almost everything is sorted. If you want to eat anything specific then you can tell us. 

Avni - Can I cook something for all of you? 

Shweta - Sure, no need to ask. 

Avni cooked poha for them as she genuinely wanted to do something for them and the only thing she can cook was Poha. They placed all the dishes on the dining table while everyone settled down. 

Bebe - Ananya, where is Neil? 

Avni - I will call him Bebe, he must have returned back from his jog.  

Avni was about to go inside the room but Neil came down while talking on his mobile. 

Neil - I want an arrest warrant DD. We need to cease this case as soon as possible. We have a witness as well as CCTV footage so no one would be able to stop us. Anmol Mehta shouldn't escape, he should be punished or else he will commit more crimes in the future. 

Avni's heart sank after listening to him, she is trying to be strong but at the same time she is a sister, and every time she listens about her brother, those painful memories play in front of her eyes. The lady who has raised her brother is nothing but an evil witch who loves to brainwash everyone, she has spoiled her Ayesha ma's son to the level where he has converted himself into a criminal. She snatched their mother from them when Aman was born and now she has snatched all the goodness from his soul and converted him into an arrogant spoilt brat. 

After finishing the call, he looked at everyone. 

Shweta - Neil, sit here and have breakfast before going anywhere.

Neil - Mom, I have important work so I will eat later. 

Prakash - Your wife has cooked a dish for all of us. Such a shame that you won't be able to try it. (playfully)

Everyone laughs while Avni went to the kitchen. Neil became confused, he was getting late while at the same time he wants to eat Poha but seems like his wifey has found some solution to his problem. Avni came back and forwarded a tiffin box containing poha to Neil. 

Avni - You can have it later. (shyly)

Bebe - Aww, couple goals. (dramatically)

Everyone laughs while Avni blushes. Neil smiles at her and holds her shoulders gently. 

Neil - Take care of yourself, okay?  (soft tone)

Avni nods while Neil kissed her forehead and left for his work. 

Shweta - Ananya, after having breakfast go to your mother's house for the rituals and I will ask Neil to pick you up in the evening. 

Avni - Okay mom. 

Everyone praised Avni and Bebe gave her jewelry as she cooked something for the first time for all of them.

On the other side, Neil reached Mehta's mansion along with the police force and knocked at the door. As soon as the door was opened he encountered Dayavanti Mehta who was looking at him with fearful eyes and a pale face. She knew very well why he was here, Anmol has told her what he did in Lonavala, and judging by the injury on Neil's head, she was worried that Neil was the victim of her grandson's carelessness. She hoped that Neil wasn't the one who got hit by Anmol's car or else he won't spare them and now she won't even have enough money for rescuing him from the police. There was one more thing that was bothering her, what if he was here for arresting her as she has committed series of crimes in her past, she hid her dirty scandals with the power of money but now her vulnerable financial conditions have made her prone to the fear of being exposed in front of this entire world. 

Neil - Where is your grandson, Anmol Mehta, Mrs. Mehta? (sternly)

She was about to lie but entire family members came into the living room along with Anmol who got scared after looking at the police force. Anmol was shivering in fear after looking at Neil while everyone other than Dayavanti and Anmol was confused. 

Neil - You are under arrest, Anmol Mehta for the drink and drive case.

Riya - What are you trying to say, Neil? (confused)

Neil - Anmol Mehta was drunk when he hit me with his car in Lonavala two days back, we have a witness and footage as well. 

Dayavanti - Who is the witness? 

She looked at Anmol who told her that no one was present there when the accident occurred, seems like he was drunk to the level where he doesn't even remember anything properly.

Neil - My wife, Ananya. 

Riya - Like seriously! (angry) That girl has done enough damage in our lives already and now she is after Anmol, she won't let us live in peace. 

Neil - Well, you all are yourself responsible for spoiling your lives so there is no need for blaming my wife. Moreover, we have CCTV footage as proof so your brother can't escape. DD, proceed ahead.

Anmol was arrested while he kept on screaming for help but no one was able to save him. They took him to the police station and locked him up in the prison. 

Anmol - You don't know who my grandmother is ACP, she keeps officers like you in her pocket. Just wait and watch, she will rescue me and you won't be able to do anything. (arrogantly)

Neil - Oh really! I am very scared (sarcastically) You are living in a delusional world my boy. (laughs)

Saying this he went inside his cabin royally ignoring Anmol's screams.

Neil's cabin

Neil - DD, did you find anything? 

DD - No sir, I tried so many times but wasn't able to find anything regarding Ananya bhabhi. 

Neil - There has to be something DD, I strongly believe that she is hiding something. 

DD - Sir, why don't you ask her? 

Neil - As if she will tell me, I don't want to scare her off and give her any sort of stress so I need to find the answers myself. 

DD -  It seems as if her tracks have been covered deliberately. 

Neil - That's what I am saying DD, people only cover their tracks for hiding something from this entire world. That's what Ananya has done, what is she trying to hide? 

DD - What shall we do now sir?

Neil - Catch the link DD, the game is between the Mehta family and Ananya. This entire saga began when she entered inside Mehta mansion during my engagement with Riya. We are trying to find about Ananya but aren't able to do so, why not try our hands-on Mehta family now? We both know that they aren't saints they claim to be. (smirks)

DD - Give me some time sir, I will arrange all the information. 

Neil nods and DD left from there. 

Neil - Ever since, we got married my vision towards you changed completely. It is well said that one shouldn't judge the book by its cover. Earlier, I thought that you are the culprit behind all the problems Ananya but now when I understood you as a person my perspective has changed completely. You are not a bad person but possess some sort of mystery that makes me curious about you. Years of experience have given me the ability to judge someone's personality, you are one of those people who wants to stay happy but at the same time run away from all the happiness thrown in your way. You want to go with the flow but due for some reason stiffen up yourself for conquering everything. There has to be something Ananya, my judgment is not wrong and I will make sure to find everything. 

He sighed and opened the box containing poha. A small smile formed on his face when he remembered how last time Avni brought lunch for him. He took a bite and moaned in taste. 

Neil - Damn! Never knew my wifey can cook so delicious food. 

After finishing the Poha, Neil opened his message box and typed a message for his wife. 

Neil - Wifey, now be ready to cook food for your hubby. 😋☺

Wifey ❤ - You aren't that lucky Mr. Amrood. I only know how to cook poha so come back to reality. 😏🍈

Neil - No problem sweetheart, I can eat Poha as a three-course meal. 😁 

Wifey ❤ - I will give you the recipe. Help yourself. 😎

Neil - That's rude, you should have told me that you will happily cook for me. 😑🙄

Wifey ❤ - Keep on building castles in the air, Mr. Amrood. 😏

Neil - Meany. 😩

He smiled and then got busy with his work. After a few hours, DD came inside Neil's cabin with a few files. Neil stopped his work and looked at DD expecting some information but all he got was a shocked look on DD's face. 

DD - Sir, thank god you didn't marry Riya. The Mehta family is indeed a mystery. 

Neil - What have you discovered about them?

DD - Dayavanti Mehta was a very rich lady 15 years back and has three children, one daughter Diksha Mehta and two sons Ketan Mehta and Ashish Mehta. 

Neil - What? (shocked) Where is Ashish Mehta? Our family hasn't met him even once all this while. 

DD - Ashish Mehta is the root cause of all the problems in Avni Ayesha's life. 

Neil - And who is Avni? 

DD - Illegitimate child of Ashish Mehta and Ayesha Haider. 

Neil - Avni Ayesha, is she the same Avni who was Ali's friend? (shocked) Everything is twisted here DD. This family is hiding a lot of things from the world. Let's do a proper analysis. 

Neil pulled a paper and pen out of the drawer making DD confused. 

DD - What are you doing, sir? 

Neil - Just following the advice a young girl gave me years ago. (smiles a bit) 

Neil - So, let's get started, Dayavanti Mehta is a widow whose husband died in riots and has 3 children. Diksha is the youngest child and was married to a businessman Hashmukh and now they aren't together anymore. Ketan Mehta is her second child and has a wife and daughter while her eldest son Ashish Mehta was a famous director and fell in love with Ayesha Haider, they both had a love child Avni Ayesha and Dayavanti refused to accept their relationship due to Ayesha's religion. 

DD - Yes sir, now Diksha is living with the Mehta family as her husband divorced her 15 years back and he was the best friend of Ashish. There is one more important thing sir, Neela Ji, your mother-in-law married Ashish Mehta. She loved him a lot while he loved Ayesha Ji but when Neela Ji got to know about Avni and Ayesha Ji she tried to back off but Dayavanti made her marry Ashish Mehta forcefully. 

Neil felt as if someone has poured a bucket of ice-cold water on him. The lady whom he considers as his second mother hid her entire identity from him. How can she do that? He calmed himself and decided to dig out the entire truth before judging someone. 

Neil - Neela ma had links with Mehta family then who is Ananya? Daughter of Neela ma and Ashish Mehta? 

DD - No sir, they didn't have any child that's what makes it more confusing. How Ananya bhabhi met Neela Ji? Not only this, Amol Mehta is the second child of Ashish Mehta and Ayesha Haider but Ayesha Ji died while giving birth to him and Dayavanti took his responsibility. 

Neil - Where is Avni Ayesha? 

DD - She is dead. 

Neil - How? (shocked)

DD - Some say she committed suicide while some sources claim that Dayavanti killed her, there are different speculations but that child has born a lot of pain in her childhood due to Dayavanti Mehta. In fact, her own father threw her in jail unnecessarily. 

Neil - Now, I need to know this entire story of Avni Ayesha then only I would be able to form the connections. The only person who can answer all my queries is Ali. If she is the same Avni who was Ali's friend then Ali can give me each and every detail properly only then Ananya's role in all this mess will be determined. Has Neela ma adopted Ananya? 

DD - There are no records about that sir.

Neil - One thing that I have observed about Neela ma and Ananya is that they share a very lovable bond so why Neela ma will let Ananya form any sort of relations with Mehtas? They have spoiled so many lives including hers, why didn't she stop Ananya from befriending Riya? 

DD - Sir, Anmol Mehta is creating a nuisance. He doesn't know anything about his grandmother. 

Neil - Handle him, I am going for meeting Ali. 

DD nods while Neil left from there.
