Chapter 19
(Y/N) opened her eyes slowly she looked around the room and it was covered in furnished things.
Huge windows on the room with red velvet curtains covering the room, only letting out a little bit of light. She saw two people, an adult and a young girl.
The grown woman looked around in her mid 20's while the child is around 7 years old. The little girl was sitting in a grand piano while the woman stood beside her.
The little girl began to play a melody and it echoed throughout the room. After a few minutes, the song finished and the woman clapped calmly,
"Excellent (Y/N), it was perfect. I expected it from a prodigy child like you."
The girl nodded slowly yet she didn't show any sign of emotion.
(Y/N) stared blankly at her younger self.
Why am I seeing this?
Another memory appeared and it is replaced by a little girl crying in front of (Y/N). She sees her younger self and she kneeled down,
"It's funny isn't it? We've both learned the hard way of life because of everyone's selfish needs." She said it out loud but the girl didn't hear her and she knew the little girl couldn't see her.
(Y/N) placed her hand on her younger self and patted her,
"It will be okay, all you have to do is smile. No one will know that broken face."
(Y/N)'s vision starts to fade away and was replace with light.
-------------------------------------------
(Y/N) groaned and slowly opened her eyes. "(Y/N)!" A voice shouted out to her.
Her vision started to sharpen and she felt arms around her. Haru hugged her yet no emotion is traced in her face.
"What happened?! I was so worried when you fainted out of nowhere." Haru pulled away from the hug to see (Y/N)'s face.
The girl didn't say anything and stared blankly at Haru. She smiled sheepishly at him,
"I think I overworked myself, I was so busy this week about my duties that I didn't get much sleep."
Haru sighed,
"You should've told me to help you in your duties instead of doing it yourself. You should depend on me more and not only yourself."
(Y/N) nodded slowly,
"I understand Haru, and also, thank you."
Haru smiled and patted her head,
"No problem, (Y/N). We will always be together no matter what. The promise we made isn't just a promise, it's a vow."
The girl stared at Haru and they both recited,
"A vow to protect and be there for each other. We both smile and learned that smiling is the easy way to get through in life."
(Y/N) noticed the room she's in and she's thankful that Haru didn't bring her in the infirmary because she doesn't want to see that creepy guy again.
Haru cleared his throat,
"I didn't bring you to the infirmary because I don't trust that 'so-called' doctor."
(Y/N) decided to talk to him telepathically, since there's a saying that 'walls have ears.'
'We should watch out for that doctor. I can't explain why but, I think he's the reason I fainted out of the blue.'
Haru shot her a questioning look and she continued,l.
'He was acting quite weird for a doctor. He invaded my personal space and when he patted my head, I felt something shock through me causing my head to ache a bit that time.'
Haru replied,
'I think there's something behind that doctor, he doesn't look like a doctor to me because the way he acts towards you is so forward. Should we confront him?'
(Y/N) shook her head,
'We'll have to wait. We should make sure he reveals himself, or we would be looking like blockheads in this school and it will damage our reputation for accusing someone without any proof.'
Haru finished the conversation in their head by giving (Y/N) a thumbs up and a grin on his face.
(Y/N) walked around the school while Haru is left behind to attend some classes when someone grab her arm and yank her around the corner.
"I heard from Kou that you fainted." A deep voice spoke.
She turned around and came face to face with Ruki. The girl smiled at him,
"I see that Kou told you about the incident that happened in the rooftop. That was nothing, I guess I over worked myself because of my duties, then my body decides its a good time to shut itself."
Ruki didn't say anything else and leans in,
"You know, the more I'm closer to you, the more I can smell that sweet blood of yours." He whispers huskily in the girl's ear.
(Y/N) smiled again,
"Too bad you can't taste it."
Ruki smirked,"Is that a challenge Kaichou?"
(Y/N) hummed,"Maybe."
Ruki chuckles,
"A mortal like you, decides to challenge a vampire?"
The girl looked at him,
"An impure vampire you mean." She corrected him.
His smirk fell but he chuckled again,
"I'll make sure you regret this Kaichou." He pinned her on the wall but before he could make anymore movements, a strong force blocked (Y/N)'s body and the force caused Ruki to back away.
He widened his eyes as he see a transparent yet somehow visible wall that looks like a shield in front of (Y/N).
The girl saud,
"Ruki-san, don't underestimate a mortal with psychic abilities. You'll never know what I can fully do with it."
(Y/N) decides its a good time to leave the Brains of the Mukami's. He watched the girl leave and he smirked.
I'll be sure to be the first to suck you dry (Y/N), and you'll regret underestimating me as well.
