As she fumbled in her walk, her voice dying down, her black heels clicked together, and she tripped. Before she fell, someone grabbed her forearm.

Dania turned her head, and squinted her eyes. The stranger pulled her to standing position.

"Are you mad?"

The familiar voice was angry and desperate. He grabbed her shoulders, pinning her to the wall for her support to stand.

"Why are you riski—"

Dania reached out to grab his mask, but the man in dark blue hoodie craned his neck back.

"Leave me. Show your face."

In the struggle, Dania long manicured nails scratched the back of his hand. He winced, and held her arms tighter, his fingers pinched her bare skin.

"Are you mad, Dania? What if I hadn't come here—what if—"

"You—know—my name?" She stammered, her head wobbling slightly and her eyes droopy.

"That is irreverent." He pulled her by her arm, but she protested and stuck against the wall.

"I won't go until you accept that you are Sarfaraz."

He turned and glared hard into her drunk eyes, taking a step closer he placed a finger over his mask.

"Shut up. And come with me. Tell me your home address, or a safe place, so I can drop you."

Dania struggled to free her hand from his death-grip. After pathetic attempt, the alcohol got her head heavy. She could barely keep her eyes open and her head spun badly. The masked stranger's figure blurred. He panicked and began patting her cheeks, and desperately calling her name to stop her from fainting. Dania's body loosened, and she fell against him.

"Oh no! Dania." Sarfaraz held her as her legs crumpled. He helped her sit on the pavement bench, she fell against it. He paced a little, fidgeting with his phone and contemplated calling Fareeha. She always solves all his problems, but, she will nag him for being in the alley once again. Sarfaraz hurriedly checked his pockets, and another coincidence saved him. A crumpled paper tumbled out his track pants. With shaky and sweaty hands, he opened it and read Kriti's address. He never kept anything given to him randomly by his fans. And it wasn't unusual for them to give him crazy stuff. This time, he had mindlessly stuffed the paper into his track pants.

Sarfaraz helped drunk Dania stand and placed her one arm around his neck and dragged her along with him. Fortunately, once again, Kriti's house was nearby. He stopped by her door, rechecked the address and climbed four steps with Dania leaning on him. Ringing the bell twice, the door opened. A strict looking uncle opened the door. He frowned, removing his frameless glasses and spoke in a stern voice, - "Yes?"

"Sir, is Kriti here?"

"Who are you?"

Kriti came from behind her father and stopped in her place. She gasped, - "Dania." And hurried to her friend. Her Father's ice-cold glare made her freeze on spot.

"Sir!" He panted, pulling down his mask and hoodie. Kriti gasped louder.

"Sarfaraz Khan!" She held her head, her mouth wide open, - "Sarfaraz Khan with Dania."

"What the hell is happening here? And who are you? Kriti is he your boyfriend?" Kriti's father looked around at the three people cluelessly.

Kriti sighed dreamily, - "I wish." She commented and rushed to the door. She took Dania's other arm and helped Sarfaraz inside her house.

Sarfaraz washed his face, and looked at his reflection. Gripping the wash basin, he wondered what excuse to make. Dania shouldn't know he saved her twice. He didn't want any more interactions with her. Or did he?

Strangely, that sounded in Fareeha's voice. Sarfaraz splashed some more water on his face, and gasped lightly.

"Dania!" He sighed. After so many years, her name still had that ring in it. He smiled softly. Then, a knock at the door broke his reverie. Sarfaraz ran his wet fingers through his hair, setting them, and wiped his face with handkerchief he carried.

Kriti was at the door, with a glass of warm milk in her hand. She grinned at him, - "Should I increase the heater? Are you warm?"

He nodded, - "I am fine." He said hoarsely. His palm stung with the combo of water and fresh scratch. Kriti worried and offered bandage, but Sarfaraz stopped her.

"I can't believe, that you are here at my house." She spoke with wide twinkling eyes.

Sarfaraz forced a smile. He looked kindly at her, - "Kriti, can you do me another favour?" Cautiously, he reached out for her hand. Kriti happily gave her hand in his, and inhaled deeply staring at her palm clasped between his masculine hands.

Sarfaraz modulated his voice to sound sweet, and put on his best romantic eyes look, -

"Please don't tell anyone, not even your friend about everything that happened tonight. And—"

Kriti looked fixated at him, barely able to breathe and stand still.

"Yes!" She breathed.

"Dania should also never know about this, please."

"But—"

He placed a finger on her lips, and Kriti sighed deeply once again. Her eyeballs focused on his finger, then she looked up into his captivating brown eyes.

"Please. I want to keep my heroism a secret."

Kriti slowly nodded, staring at him.

"Also, please keep me updated." He let's go of her hand. Kriti's hand dropped to her side, but she kept her head a little tilted and ogled at him. Sarfaraz took a step back, turned his head and glanced at Dania, who slept in Kriti's bed snuggled in a blanket. Kriti had also made her wear one of her night suit.

"Please, Sarfaraz, have some warm milk." Kriti forwarded the tray. At first, he refused but she insisted and he gave in. Sitting at the edge of the bed, he gulped the entire glass at once.

"I should be going now. Thanks." He passed the glass back to Kriti.

"My pleasure, Sarfaraz." She replied dreamily.

Precap:

"Leave my phone, Dania." He tried to free his mobile from her grasp, but wasn't too harsh on her.

In the struggle, her thigh hit the bed. For support, she grabbed his brawny arm and fell first on the bed. Sarfaraz fell over her.

Dania blinked at him, her hands still resting on his upper-arm. Staring into his soft brown eyes, she found herself immersed in them. Sarfaraz was perfectly still, but his eyes gazed kindly at her. His pupils dilating slowly. Dania felt his biceps tense over fabric of his Kurtha. She gulped slowly, but couldn't move her eyes off him. Sarfaraz's one arm was under her back, and another resting next to her head. He stared without blinking, his lips curved into a slight smile.

Fareeha frowned noticing the door slightly open. Was he in his room? She took out her phone and looking at it, she pushed the door open. When, she raised her head, she gasped dropping her phone. Dania turned her head and saw Fareeha gaping at them with her hand covering her mouth. Sarfaraz still kept looking lovingly at Dania.
