Chapter 4: Wah?

Wally P.O.V.

I sat on a metal bench looking around at the futuristic place that I had gotten to after running too fast.

"Breaking News! Dixie Grayson aka Acrobat aka Robin The Girl Wonder has friend zoned another boyfriend saying that the only man for her broke her heart years ago when he ran away after kissing her saying that things wouldn't work out. She released this music video after years of not singing with her brother Jason Todd who seems to be the only make she hasn't killed yet." A video popped up and the man hit play and there was a girl who looked like Dixie but five years older.

"Ooh ooh, ooh ooh. Ooh ooh, ooh ooh. You say you love me, I say you crazy. We're nothing more than friends. You're not my lover, more like a brother I known you since we were like ten, yeah. Don't mess it up, talking that shit. Only gonna push me away, that's it. When you say you love me, that make me crazy. Here we go again. Don't go look at me with that look in your eye. You really ain't going away without a fight. You can't be reasoned with, I'm done being polite. I've told you one, two, three, four, five, six thousand times. Haven't I made it obvious? Haven't I made it clear? Want me to spell it out for you? F-R-I-E-N-D-S. Haven't I made it obvious? Haven't I made it clear? Want me to spell it out for you? F-R-I-E-N-D-S F-R-I-E-N-D-S."

"Have you got no shame? You looking insane turning up at my door. It's two in the morning, the rain is pouring. Haven't we been here before? Don't mess it up, talking that shit. Only gonna push me away, that's it. Have you got no shame? You looking insane. Here we go again. So don't go look at me with that look in your eye.

"That's how you f- spell "friends". F-R-I-E-N-D-S. Get that shit inside your head. No, no, yeah, uh, ah. F-R-I-E-N-D-S. We're just friends. So don't go look at me with that look in your eye. F-R-I-E-N-D-S F-R-I-E-N-D-S. Ooh ooh, ooh ooh. Ah ah ah."

The song ended with Dixie looking at the camera with her middle finger toward the camera and sticking her tongue out. Her hair seemed curly and browner than the last time I had seen her. Her voice sounded more mature than the girl who had sung Graphitti in a club and Here With Me on T.V.

"I'm so sorry Dixie." I whispered before running back in time.

Dixie P.O.V. Three minutes prior to Wally running into the future.

I sat on the couch looking into his eyes. I leaned in and our lips touched. He didn't pull away like I thought he would but instead, he kissed back.

"That was nice, I'm a hero though," he said. I knew that he would say this. I looked down at my lap. "I'm willing to make this work though," he added before getting his lips more acquainted with mine.
