Chapter 3: Winn and James

Kara P.O.V.

I walked into school with James and Winn. We sat through all of our classes. James and Winn knew my secret but promised that they wouldn't tell anyone. "Hey Kara, you're looking fine today," A boy said passing by.

"Hey, Kara! Is your dad a baker? Cause you've got some nice buns." Another boy said walking over. I was getting sick of this.

"Is your dad a baker? Cause you've got some serious rolls." I said flicking his stomach. "Don't talk to me." I walked away before turning around to grab James and Winn. Girls rolled their eyes whispering to one another. It's a little sickening if you really think about it. I can hear everything that they're saying.

The school day was over and I was walking over to my dad's car when I saw Wally. "Hey, Kara! Come hang out with us hot stuff." I walked over to Wally away from the morons.

"Hey, what are you doing here Wally?" I asked. I wasn't that annoyed because he took some of the boys' attention off of me.

"Who are you?" Right, he's used to me having blonde hair.

"It's Kara. I'm wearing a wig and glasses to protect my identity. Clark looks like Superman but, everybody in Metropolis knows that SG and SM are father and daughter. So, we put as much difference between us and the Supers as possible." He looked confused at first but, then he understood.

"You certainly do get some sort of harassment here. Why do you let them do it?"

"Cause there is nothing I can do besides get a boyfriend and none of the boys here are appealing physically or mentally," I responded with a sigh.

"I could be your boyfriend like as in for now so the boys leave you alone and know that they can't flirt with you," Wally said quickly.

"That would work. Alright, so, could you walk me over to my dad's car, please?"

"Of course darling." He said taking my hand. I've never felt this way before about another person. He opened the door for me to slide in next to my dad but, first, I kissed him on the cheek.

"See ya around shnookams," I said before shutting the door. Dad drove off looking confused.

"Were those boys bothering you again?"

"Yes, but Wally is just a friend and he offered to be my fake boyfriend so they would leave me alone. Trust me Dad, I know what I'm doing."

"I know Kara you're just growing up so fast. We're going to the Daily Planet to see your mom." He said before parking. Maybe I really do like Wally. Oh well, he'll never like me the way I like him.
