-No One's P.O.V-

The next morning came, Kokkoro gets out of bed due to hearing someone making whacking noises as she looks out the window and sees you and Yuuki.

Yuuki was training by himself using a stick against a swinging log while you were watching him training.

Yuuki then goes for a hard swing against the swinging log, but the log just comes back right at his face as Yuuki kneels down in pain.

(Y/N): Whoa, you okay, dude?

Yuuki: I-I'm fine...

(Y/N): Jeez, you don't just stand there and take the hit. You need to dodge, block, or strike the attack against the enemy.

Yuuki: *Nods* Mm, thanks.

Yuuki then picks up the sword and gets back up to continue training as Kokkoro smiles upon watching the two of you.

-Mini Time Skip-

Later, the three of you were now at the kitchen area and ordered breakfast.

Kokkoro: It's fortunate that we were compensated so generously for the mushrooms.

Yuuki: Mushrooms...great!

Kokkoro: Yes, but...

(Y/N): Something wrong?

Kokkoro: I hope Miss Pecorine was alright.

A flashback occurred in your head as you, Kokkoro, Yuuki, and Karin (aka the Guild Lady) were watching Pecorine who was drunkenly walking away yesterday evening after completing the quest to collect the mushrooms.

(Y/N): Oh yeah, didn't she say that she was returning to Landosol?

Kokkoro: Yeah, perhaps we'll see her again.

Yuuki: *Nods* Mm.

Kokkoro: Regardless, we need to find a place to stay before the money we have now run out.

Suddenly, a guy comes in and spoke up to Kokkoro.

Guy: What's this, little lady? You need money?

Yuuki: Money important!

Guy: R-Right...That it is. I can tell you three aren't used to this town yet. If you start a guild, the Guild Association will lend you a house to use as your base of operations.

Kokkoro: Really? I've never heard of something so wonderful.

(Y/N): I agree and it seemed like a good idea.

Guy: Correct. If you want to stay in this town, you'll definitely want to consider starting a guild.

Manager: Hey. Don't you go give my customers funny ideas.

Guy: Ehehe. Sorry, man.

Manager: Hmph!

Kokkoro: Umm, my lord...

Yuuki: Hm?

Kokkoro: When I saw you trying your hardest to practice with the sword, it made me want to support you. So, I made this for you.

(Y/N): Oh? What's that?

You asked as Kokkoro places a stamp on a small yellow paper.

Kokkoro: Well, it's something that I have made for my lord, but it doesn't really have any purpose, but...

Yuuki: Thanks.

Kokkoro: Eh?

Yuuki: I'll work hard.

Yuuki says with a thumb up and Kokkoro was happy to hear that.

Kokkoro: Okay!

Kokkoro then hands Yuuki the small yellow paper as you smiled at the two.

-Mini Time Skip-

Later, the three of you eventually wore your outfits as the three of you went to the bulletin board to find good quests.

Kokkoro: I hope we can find a good job...

Kokkoro says until all of you heard the crowd making awed noises as the three of you turned to see a crowd looking at something.

(Y/N): We should go check what's up over there.

Yuuki and Kokkoro nodded as the three of you went to where the crowd was looking until the three of you saw Pecorine eating a lot of food and digesting them.

Pecorine: Yummy~! Seconds, please!

Kokkoro: Miss Pecorine?

Pecorine: Oh, it's you guys! Hiya!

Yuuki: Hiya.

(Y/N): Yo.

Pecorine: Thank you for escorting me into town yesterday! I felt all better when I woke up! Rice is the best! How crazy is that?!

(Y/N): Ehehe, you're welcome.

Kokkoro: We're glad to see you're alright.

(Y/N): Anyway, what are you doing here? Are you having an eating contest?

You asked with an amused smile on your face.

Pecorine: Yup, and I was just helping myself out because I was starving!

Kokkoro: What a perfect fit for Miss Starving Peckish Pecorine.

You chuckled at that nickname.

???: Hey, what's going on here?

We then see two people coming into the crowd until Pecorine points at them and said...

Pecorine: Hey! The beriberi man!

The two guys start running away after seeing her.

Pecorine: Wait! Your medicine! I have your medicine!

Kokkoro: M-Miss Pecorine?

(Y/N): Oh dear, there she goes again.

You said with a sweatdrop as Kokkor and Yuuki runs after Pecorine.

Host: M-Miss, wait! Your prize money! You forgot to accept your prize money!

(Y/N): I'll take it.

Host: Oh, you must be her friend, right? Here you go.

The host gives you the prize money as you thanked him before you started flying after Yuuki and the others.

-Mini Time Skip-

Eventually, you caught up to Yuuki, Pecorine, and Kokkoro as the four of you were now outside.

Pecorine: I've lost sight of them again.

(Y/N): You know those two?

Pecorine: Yes! One of them has a disease called beriberi, and I have his medicine.

Kokkoro: Beriberi? He doesn't look sick, though...

(Y/N): That disease only affects the heart and circulatory system. In extreme cases, wet beriberi can cause heart failure. So why the heck does he look healthy when running away? That's suspicious...

Pecorine was about to speak up until all of you hear the sounds of everyone screaming in fear as the four of you see a monstrous boar that has a body of an ogre-like.

Kokkoro: What are they doing so close to civilization?!

Kokkoro questions as Pecorine gets in front of you three.

Pecorine: They could hurt the people of this town. I'll handle this!

(Y/N): No, I'll handle this. You may be strong without a sword, but mine's got a pack a punch!

Pecorine: I like your bravery, (Y/N). But I'd say we team up together~!

Pecorine says with a wink on her face as you sweatdropped at that.

(Y/N): Uh...okay...

Yuuki: In front!

Yuuki yells as you and Pecorine looked in front of you two to see the monster charging towards you both with a club in its right hand.

Both you and Pecorine dodged it after it swung its weapon until Pecorine comes in.

Pecorine: Ladies first!

Pecorine then charges head-on as she does a palm attack on the monster's chest which greatly took damage as the monster had a shocked look on his face before Pecorine followed up with an uppercut, staggering the creature back.

The creature recovered quickly before going for another attack, but you got in front of Pecorine and did a counter stance is by moving your left hand towards the creature's club attack onto the side to change the direction of its attack.

You then hit the creature with a somersault kick under its chin, knocking the creature back, before following up with a flying kick onto its abdomen, sending it flying towards the constructed building.

Kokkoro: That was impressive. I never would have thought you two could beat them bare-handed.

Pecorine: It would have been a bit easier if I'd had a sword, though.

(Y/N): People would say "Never bring a sword to a fistfight" (or at least Trunks would have to object that.)

Pecorine: However, I really loved how you did a counterattack against that monster, (Y/N). Are you like me?

(Y/N): You can say that again, woman. Plus, some of my fighting techniques are taught by a caped crusader.

Pecorine: Ooh, is he your master? He sounds pretty amazing~!

Suddenly, all of you hear the sounds of rumbling coming from the constructed building.

The four of you went over and check until you see the knocked-out creature on the right while on the left was a young female.

You took a good look at her appearance. She has black hair and above was a pair of cat ears. She wears a detailed blue and purple outfit adorned with magenta jewels and gold hemming.

She has thigh-high stockings and a garter belt on her left thigh that clips to her stocking. She has short, differing shades of brown boots. She also has a black cat tail with a white tip.

Plus, the four of you also happen to notice a staff with a book attached to the top.

Kokkoro: Who is this?

(Y/N): Dunno, but it's best if we just drag her out of there before that monster wakes up.

Peccorine: I agree. We should ask her questions once she wakes up.

-Mini Time Skip-

A couple of minutes has passed. Kokkoro was preparing lunch while singing and everyone was waiting for the cat woman to wake up.

Kokkoro: Start with a low flame, then turn up the heat. Even if your baby cries...

You then noticed the cat woman slowly opening her eyes.

(Y/N): Hey, she's awake now!

You called out to the group as you turned back to the cat woman.

(Y/N): You okay, lady? You got knocked out behind a wall after I kicked that monster back to the building.

???: Huh?!

Kokkoro: Thank goodness. It doesn't look like she's injured in any way.

Yuuki: Mm.

???: Who are you?

Kokkoro: My name is Kokkoro. This is my lord, Master Yuuki.

(Y/N): And I'm (Y/N) Kent, and that woman with the yellow hair is Pecorine.

???: Pecorine?

The cat woman questions as Pecorine only gives her a smile.

Pecorine: Anyway, are you hungry? This is freshly cooked! It's tasty!

(Y/N): Pecorine, wait-

Pecornine then shoves the spoon onto the cat woman's mouth and you can hear the sound of the food sizzling.

???: That's hot! Hey! What are you thinking, shoving scalding-hot rice in my face?!

Pecorine: Oh, I'm sorry!

Pecorine blows the hot rice a few times before shoving the spoon onto the cat woman's mouth and you can still hear the sizzling.

???: That's hot! I don't want any!

You chuckled at the two until the cat woman stood up with an angry look at her face.

???: I can't eat hot food, so stop force-feeding me!

Suddenly, she was about to start fainting as Yuuki tries to help her out, but she slapped his hand away.

???: I'm fine. I can walk on my own. I'm not going to thank you. No one asked you to do any of that.

(Y/N): We didn't even ask, we just simply helped you out, lady!

???: Whatever!

She yelled back as the four of you were watching her walking away.
