Max P.O.V.

I haven't spoken to (Y/N) in about two days after the... Accident on the bus.

It's like I couldn't be within ten feet of her without getting butterflies in my stomach.

"Come on Max, it was an accidental kiss!" I yelled to myself.

"Kiss..." I said quietly then remembered everything about that day.

I covered my face flustered remembering her face after it happened.

I shook my head and pulled my jacket on.

"Just talk to her and it probably won't be as akward." I said to myself walking mess hall.

(Y/N) P.O.V.

I was in mess hall talking to Nikki and Neil when Max came in.

I instantly tensed up and looked the other way trying to avoid eye contact with him.

"Hey Max!" Said Nikki waving at Max.

Max sat down next to her and directly across from me.

"So... (Y/N)." He said making me jump from surprise.

"Um... yes Max?" I ask shakily.

"About the bus thing... I kinda want to talk about that in private." He says fiddling with his hoodie sleeve.

"O-okay..." I say getting up.

He starts to walk out and I follow him.

-in Max's tent.-

"So, you want to talk about the ki-k... the accident?" I question.

"Uh, yeah." He says finally looking at me for once in a week or so.

"I know that we haven't talked in a while because of it and I kinda just want to go back to being like we were before the... Thing happened." He said giving me a nervous grin.

"That sounds easier said than done." I say with a small chuckle.

He responds with a more quiet chuckle.

"Well, let's see if we can go back to being friends who try to find a way out of this, huh?" He asks sticking his hand out.

"Sure." I say shaking his hand.

Once I shake his hand I feel like I've just been rejected by my crush.

Do I have a crush on Max?

Ha, no that's impossible...

Right?
