I woke up late yet again. Quickly getting dressed and fixing up my hair, I grab my bag and rush down the stairs. I was too excited to grab anything to eat. 

"Good morning, Hotaru." says my mother as I rush down the stairs.

"Good morning! I'm heading out!" I say as I rush out the front door before she could utter another word.

I rush down the street blindly, not caring what was around me. I then bump into someone, causing me and that person to collapse onto the ground. 

"I'm so sorry!" I holler as I sit up.

Getting up from the ground was an older man. 

"I am so very sorry sir." I say again, bowing.

"Damn." groan the older gentleman. "That hurt."

  The older gentleman looked straight at me and grinned.

"I-Is there anything I can do to help you?" I ask, feeling more uncomfortable with each passing moment.

"Well," started to say the older gentleman, "you are a pretty girl."

He looked up and down my body, making me shiver and feeling more uncomfortable.

"I think you can make me feel a lot better." he said sadistically.

He then took hold of my arm, squeezing it tightly.

"Oww! Let go of me!" I hollered as I tried to pull away.

"Come on sweetheart. I'll treat ya real nice."

"No!" I cry.

Then, suddenly, someone runs up and punches the man in the face, causing him to release his grip on me. I realize that it is Ryo who has come to my rescue. Ryo pulls me into his arms.

"Get away from her." he growls.

The man runs away.

"Th-Thank you..." I says softly as he continues to hold me tightly in his arms.

"Anything for you, Aya-chan." he says with a smile.

We then separate. 

"I-I guess we should get to school now.." I state.

"We could always skip." he says with a devilish smile.

"I-I'd love to but I already have bad grades!" I say a little to loud.

I cover my mouth and blush.

Idiot! What if he thinks I'm stupid because of my grades? Oh man did I mess up.

"Well, then maybe after school you should come over to my place and I can help you study."

My face turns bright red.

"R-Really?"

"Of course, Aya-chan."

"Alright. I will then. As long as my mother lets me. I'll text her at lunch."

Ryo then takes my hand in his and we begin to walk to school. We talk as we walk there.

"So, did you get your schedule?" I ask him.

"I did." he states.

We stop for a moment so that he can pull out his schedule. We then start walking again as I take hold of his schedule. I smile forms on my face.

"We have all of the same classes." I say with true happiness. 

"I'm glad." he responds as I hand him back his schedule. 

Finally, we arrive at school. Still holding hands, we enter the building. I walk him to homeroom, 2-B, which was also our math class. As we enter, I spot Rei-chan, Hina-kun, and that good for nothing Fujitaka. Rei-chan immediately spotted me and made a surprised face when he saw me holding the hand of a boy she had never met.  She quickly walked over to us. 

"So, how is this?" she asks as she stares down Ryo.

"Th-This is Ryo..." I say a little shaky, caught off by her tone. "M-My boyfriend..." I state much quieter.

"Boyfriend?" she gasps.

She then starts to laugh.

"I'd never thought I'd see the day that Ayaka got a boyfriend." she chuckles.

"I-I could get a boyfriend whenever I want!" I retort.

"Yeah right." spits out Fujitaka from the back, apparently eavesdropping on our conversation.

"I'm so happy for you." says Hina-kun as she joins us.

"So, who are you?" asks Rei-chan.

"I'm Ryo Akamaru, Aya-chan's boyfriend and new student at this school." 

"Nice to meet you." says Rei-chan as the two shake hands.

"Nice to meet you, Ryo-kun." says Hina-kun  as she bows.

"Nice to meet you both." says Ryo as he bows.

After a short chat, the bell rings, signaling the start of homeroom. I make sure that Ryo sits in the seat right next to me. Everyone takes their seat as Mrs. Katsumi enters the room.

"Good morning minna!" she says.

"Good morning sensei." replies the class.

"First off, I would like to introduce a new student joining us. Please come to the front of the room, Mr. Akamaru."

Ryo stands and walks to the front. He then faces the class and bows.

"My name is Ryo Akamaru and is great to make your acquaintance. I hope we can become friends."

He then heads back to his seat and sits down. Class then proceeds.

Ryo's first day flashes by. He talked with quite a few people and it seemed as though a lot of the girls were making lovey-dovey faces at times. It made me mad but I knew that he was mine. Mom had not responded to my text so I decide to just go to Ryo's anyways. We walk to his house, hand in hand. I smile, feeling the happiest I have ever been in a long time. 

"Here it is." he says as we stand in front of a two story house on a hill. 

"It's beautiful." I state in awe.

He chuckles as we head inside. His house was nicely furnished and was very modern. 

"It is really nice in here." I say.

"Thanks." he chuckles.

We then both take a seat on the couch in the living room. I then put my bag down.

"So, what are we going to study?" I ask.

"Well, I was hoping to study you a bit more." he responds, his face turning slightly pink.

"M-Me!?"

He then leans in closer, closing the space between us.

"Yes, you." he whispers in my ear, causing my body to shiver.

He then presses his lips against mine. The warmth of his lips immediately filling me up. My whole body shivered as we continued to kiss. 

Are we.... making out?

My face turned red.

We are. I-I'm making out with Ryo.

Then, while we are kissing, my phone rings. I dart my eyes to see that it is my mom calling.

"I have to answer the phone." I say between kisses.

"Can't it wait?" he responds as his lips connect with mine again.

"I-It can't... It is my mom..."

"A-Alright..." he says slightly sad as he moves away from me.

I pick up the phone and answer it.

"Hello?"

"Where have you been, Ayaka!" screams my mother.

"I am studying with a friend. I sent you text at noon about it."

"You did not! I received no such text!"

"Check your texts, mom. It will be there." 

After a brief moment of silence, my mother says, "Oh.... There is a text. S-Sorry Hotaru."

"It is fine mom. Don't worry about it."

"You still need to come home though. Your father is mad that you aren't here."

"Can't you tell him I am studying with a friend?"

"You know how he is..."

I sigh and say, "Alright. I'll be home soon. Please check your texts next time mom."

"I will. See you soon, Hotaru."

I then hang up and put my phone in my bag.

"I have to go..." I say, slightly sad.

"We can hang out tomorrow."

"Yeah. We can also hang out during summer break since it is only a week away."

"Y-Yeah....During summer break...." he stated, slightly sad by this.

"A-Alright...." I stand up and grab my bag. "See you Ryo." 

I turn to leave when, suddenly, Ryo pulls me into his arms and gives me one last passionate kiss.

"See you Aya-chan." he says as he lets me go.

I then walk outside and look back at his house once more before heading home.
