5 - 'Dog Wannabes' according to Gabriel

"Hello Dean," Lucifer mumbled, as he was washing the dishes they had in the cabin like mugs, cutlery, plates and random prank equipment left by a certain someone. He knew Dean was there, he was the only person that would come down this late in the night, other than Lucifer of course. Lucifer was a weird person, who would do dishes this late at night?

"Oh hey Lucifer, you seem to be in a good mood if you're actually cleaning up your mess for once. Or you lost a bet against Michael," Dean let out a small chuckle, sitting on one of the stools placed in the kitchen, as he played with some pieces of paper that were scattered on the countertop.

"Very funny Dean," He said with sarcasm lacing his voice. "I can clean up after myself and besides, washing dishes isn't that bad. Imagine if I smashed down a large brick wall, that would take forever to clean let alone fix," Lucifer's little statement earned him a nod from Dean. "So what brings you here so late at night?"

He shrugged, glancing around. "Nothing really, it was getting too hot in the room and I needed some air. I could ask you the same question Lu, why are you washing the dishes when it's nearly midnight?"

"Don't question how the devil works Dean, never question." They both decided to leave it at that, they really didn't want to continue the awkward conversation between them especially this late at night.

The older Winchester bid his farewell and walked up the set of stairs, cautious not to wake any of the others up. He avoided the floorboards that creaked, made sure not to make the door hinges squeak and back into the shared room with Castiel. However, he was not expecting to see Castiel wide awake, throwing a small bouncy ball up against a wall. It was one of the balls that Dean had won at the arcade that was attached to the kids area, but more a less for those who actually have money.

Dean walked forward, now clear in Castiel's view, as he stopped the ball in his hand and looked up at Dean with his piercing blue eyes.

"Where did you go?" He asked, almost like he missed his company.

"Just downstairs. Lucifer was doing the dishes and I needed some air, it was getting stuffy in here," He didn't want to upset Castiel, he was rather fond of the black haired Angel of a man.

He nods. "I thought you left me. You know I don't like being alone, Dean," He looked down at his hands, like a lost puppy in the woods when Dean wasn't around.

"I would never leave you Cas. I know we only met a few days ago but you're downright awesome, and I won't let someone like that slide out my hands," Dean chuckled, climbing into bed next to him and wraps an arm around his shoulder. Castiel yawned and snuggled up into Dean's chest, his eyes coming to a close.

"G'night Dean,"

"G'night Cas."

"Sam I don't do horses. They are awkwardly tall, four legged dog wannabes," Gabriel huffed as he crossed his arms, Sam adjusting the younger man's helmet.

"Gabriel stop your bitching. You signed up for the camp so you gotta do equestrian activities with me while Cas and Dean do archery together," Sam adjusted his own helmet before walking Gabriel to the stables. They trekked through the mud until they could see the heads of horses, interested of the two people.

"Which one will you have?" Gabriel asked, glancing at Sam as Sam looked at the horses.

"I'll go for Oswald," He walked over to a pure white horse, petting his head as he took him out of the stable and mounted him.

"Guess I'll have Angel," Gabriel took out a brown and black horse out, mounting him and walked with Sam. "So where are we going?"

"To the fields. Go for a run and maybe have a race?" Sam wiggled his eyebrows challengingly.

"Oh you are on, Winchester."

The birds were chirping a sweet melodic song to the neighbouring trees, while two boys stood in a field, two completely symmetrical targets in front of them.

Castiel was wearing a navy blue denim shorts, with a black shirt with the awords 'Procrastinator by day, professional procrastinator by night' and Castiel was sure of it that he was truly a professional at the art of procrastination. And to top it off, he was wearing his little black boots that had an angel wing on each side of each boot.

Dean was wearing layers. Lots and lots of layers. A black undershirt with his maroon red plaid flannel on top. His signature black, leather jacket on top with a pair of generic blue jeans and black boots. He wasn't the kind of person to wear lots of colours like Castiel, though Castiel wore some really weird stuff [that the audience don't need to know about yet].

"So Dean, have you ever done archery before?" Castiel broke the silence as he grabbed his bow awkwardly, along with an arrow.

"Yeah, I wouldn't say I'm that good but I'm alright at it," Dean was too busy aiming and firing the arrow to notice how Castiel was staring at him in awe. But soon his face was diverted to see that Dean had landed a bullseye.

"Not good?! Dean, you'll be the new Katniss Everdeen at this rate," He said while flailing his arms around, careful not to break the bow.

"Well let's see you fire an arrow," Dean walked over and stood beside Cas, who took a very long time to set up and aim, the arrow not even going five feet away from them. Dean chuckled softly, and stood behind him.

He lifted Castiel's arms so that the arm with the bow was vertical, and his other hand with the arrow by his side. "The best way to accomplish firing an arrow is to pull the arrow all the way back to your cheek," He helped Castiel line up the arrow, and pull the string all the way back until it was roughly beside his cheek. Dean slowly whispered into his ear; "When it's lined up, let go of the string," and Castiel took his time. He wanted to perfect it. He waited for the wind to calm, for everything to be still as the arrow shot through the stillness and landing so close to the bullseye but unfortunately it wasn't.

Dean smiled widely and hugged Castiel tightly, spinning him slightly. However, what Dean couldn't see was the upmost deepest blush on Castiel's face.

Meanwhile, Lucifer and Michael were setting up one of the evening events. Paintball. The chose a small, secluded area in the woods to hold the game, Lucifer putting up the barriers and hiding spots while Michael unloaded the guns, ammo and armour. Lucifer knew this part of the woods off the back of his palm, they always played games here so it would be a lie if Lucifer didn't know all the good hiding spaces.

Michael piled all the stuff into separate piles, being the organised freak he is. He had made several trips to and from the woods to the staff centre. It wasn't far, but it did tire Michael out after having to climb the hill that was in the dead centre of the way. He enjoyed walking past and checking on the other campers: some were on the giant swing which was occupied by Uriel and Raphael, some were completing abseiling which was occupied by Meg and Garth but the manager, Chuck, made sure everything was in order.

"So boys, what's on the agenda tonight?" His voice made the two boys turn their heads towards him, before glancing at one another.

"Well Chuck, we've planned for the kids to play paintball this evening. After dinner, we will take them down the coyote cabins and through the fallen angels woods. This is the route me and Lucifer took to get here," Michael was first to speak, since neither of them really wanted too.

"Well I'm guessing the two big kids are gonna join in too?" Chucked raised his eyebrow, as the two boys tried to speak but attempted stutters came out. "Don't worry, as long as you don't hurt the kids you'll be fine to do so,"

He bid his farewells and went on his way to check on the rest of the camp, the two fellas looking at each other before sighing.

"That was close-"

"Too close,"

"Y'know what else is close?"

"Yep. Our ships, they're getting closer to one another and soon I'll win the bet,

"In your wildest dreams Satan, Dean and Castiel are so gonna get together first,"

"Shut up! Gabriel and Sam are going to get together first!"

The two angel of men fought over their bets, as Chuck could here them and chuckled to himself.

"Yeah right, those two are gonna get together first more like."

OMFG! Thank you so much for 1K reads! This only has five chapters so far and it's gotten this far. I'm so grateful and forgive me that I'm not writing frequently with this. I'm trying as hard as I can to put chapters out of this so I've had to make it shorter than the others but I promise I'll try to write more
