6 - Technology

Week 1, Day 5 - Friday

So the camp activities are usually organised by Michael. Because Lucifer isn't trustworthy. However, because most of the camp doesn't use any technology, every Friday they'll get out movies, music, other things like that. This is the only thing Luci's allowed to plan.

"What movie did you choose?" Michael asked, pulling a shirt over his head as Luci woke up.

"I've got a few, couldn't make the final choice," Luci said. "This week is an action movie."

"Not some movie that'll get your ships together?" Michael said, smirking.

"They only met four days ago," Luci said, getting out of bed. "I'll get the horror movies out next Friday." Michael just laughed.

"What else is happening?"

"I brought Mario Kart again."

"You...you just want a rematch."

"You beating me was a fluke!"

"Nope, it was skill."

"The hell it was. Prove it."

Michael just shook his head, laughing. "We're the adults on this camp."

"I'll never grow up, accept it," Luci said. Michael just walked out of the room, laughing quietly. Luci smiled after him, loving the sound of his laugh.

~~

"Sammyyyyy wake up."

"Shut up."

"Deano let us sleep."

"You just made that sound so suspicious."

"Oh not like that. Idiot."

Dean smirked and left the room where Sam and Gabriel were still half asleep on their beds.

"What's he so excited about?" Gabe mumbled. Sam shrugged. "Can't see you shrugging kiddo, my eyes are closed."

"Then how did you know?"

"I could sense it."

Sam just smiled before getting out of bed and going to find Dean. "Why?" he asked simply, seeing Dean wide awake.

"It's Friday," Dean said. "The one day they actually give us technology to use."

"Is there internet?" Gabriel asked, running into the room.

"Not really," Dean said and Gabe sighed. "But they have video games. And movies."

"Wait, why?" Cas asked, wearily walking into the room. "This camp is supposed to be all outsidey and stuff."

"Yeah but Mike and Luce just like versing in Mario Kart," Dean said. "And using specific movies to get their ships together. Happens every year. And it actually works."

"Have they ever shipped you with someone?" Gabe said, starting to smirk.

"Nope. Well...yeah no."

"No Deano, what was it that you were about to say?"

"Nothing."

"Tell us."

"No."

"I'll kidnap Sammy."

"Fine."

Sam glared at Gabriel.

"You know I wouldn't actually do that kiddo," Gabe said with a smile. "But hey it worked." Dean glared.

"Luce just said I'd look cute with one of his brothers. That's it."

"Well that's awkward," Gabe said. "I'm going to leave now." He walked back into his bedroom, except he grabbed Sam's arm and dragged him along with him.

"Hey you said you weren't being serious about kidnapping!" Dean called after them.

"I lied!" Gabe said, trying not to laugh. He closed the door and Sam gave him a weird look. "Luce totally ships Dean with Cas."

Sam couldn't help smiling. "Does that mean they're going to be trying to get them together?"

"Yep," Gabe said. "We have help. Now, wanna verse me in Mario Kart?"

"Nah, wouldn't want to embarrass you."

"You're underestimating me."

"No, I'm just the best at the game."

"So modest aren't you?" Gabe said, smirking. Sam smiled in return and then Dean slammed the door open.

"Yeah I'm kidnapping my brother back now," he said, grabbing Sam's arm.

"Aww but Deeeaaannn," Gabe whined.

"No."

"Do I get a say in this?" Sam asked.

"No," Dean and Gabe said in sync. Sam just rolled his eyes and walked away from both of them.

The four of them eventually left the cabin, after pointless talking and annoying each other because that's just what they do. They made their way to the main hall, where pretty much everyone had gathered.

Michael and Lucifer were waiting there. "Okay everyone," Michael said above the talking. "Yeah, we let you use technology on Friday's for those who didn't know. You break anything and you answer to Lucifer, got it?"

Everyone nodded and went around to play games. Luci had set up multiple consoles in the rooms connected to the hall that hadn't been mentioned yet because they only just came into existence. There was only five consoles, but Dean quickly ran to one and glared at anyone else who tried to use it.

"We got the Mario Kart one," Dean said happily as the other three walked over to the room. He threw controllers to them and sat down on the floor. "Everyone prepare to lose."

"What is it with you Winchester's thinking you're amazing at this game?" Gabe asked.

"Oh I don't," Dean said. "But Sam will beat the crap outa you." Gabe looked over at Sam who was smirking.

"We'll see about that," Gabe said.

And so they played Mario Kart. And Sam won.

So Gabriel demanded a rematch. And Sam won. Dean was just laughing at Gabe's shocked expression while Sam was smirking.

"How?" Gabe said. "How are you doing this?"

"Maybe if it wasn't on 50cc," Cas said.

"Yeah," Gabe said, going into the menu and changing it to 200cc. "That's better."

"Great now I'm gonna lose," Dean muttered.

Gabe smirked and then chose Rainbow Road, and Sam visibly winced.

"Of all the tracks," Sam muttered.

And so they started playing.

Sam was in the lead for the first lap, Gabriel in second place. Cas and Dean were doing pretty bad, both constantly switching in last place.

And then there was the second lap. In which Dean got a blue shell. Dean smirked a little as he threw it, but Sam noticed. Sam slowed down a bit, allowing Gabriel to get in front of him. Gabriel didn't see the blue shell and cheered. And then had his hopes and dreams crushed as the blue shell hit him and Sam got the lead again.

"You..." Gabe said with wide eyes, looking at Sam. "You little..."

Third lap. Consisted of Cas getting a bullet bill into first place as Gabriel tackled Sam, fighting him for the controller.

"Give it Sam!"

"No."

"Give me the damn controller! You can't win again!"

"Nope." Sam was still managing to look at the screen. Gabe growled and shoved him onto the ground, knocking the controller away as he pinned Sam's hands down. Sam made a whining sound and Gabe smirked.

Lucifer and Michael walked in at that moment. And saw Sam and Gabriel like that.

"Huh," Lucifer said. "That was quick."

Gabe gave his brother a look of confusion, then turned to look at the screen as the race finished. Cas in first place, Dean not in last. Because Sam and Gabe never finished the race.

"Gabriel," Dean said threateningly. "Get off Sam."

"What?" Gabe said before realizing he still had Sam pinned. "Oh. Sorry Samantha."

Sam just huffed, relaxing as Gabe got off him. Gabe didn't notice the redness of Sam's cheeks or the way he was avoiding eye contact.

"Dammit Dean," Luci said. "Anyway. Can we borrow Mario Kart?"

"I dunno, last time you almost murdered each other," Dean said, but handed over a controller. Cas gave his to Michael, and the older ship sat down with the four.

And that was how, three hours later, Luci almost smashed a controller. By trying to throw it at Michael. Because Michael won.

The other four were just watching with amusement as Michael ran out of the building laughing, followed by a raging Lucifer.

"They are so cute," Gabe said.

"Why aren't they together?" Cas asked.

"They're probably just denying it," Dean said. "They'll come around eventually."

"No they won't," Gabe said. "We need to push them into it. Because Luce is too stubborn and it's already been about ten years."

"And how do we do that?" Dean asked.

"If we keep asking them if they're together," Cas said, "it'll make one of them mad enough to snap and agree with us."

"Good idea Cas," Dean said. Gabe looked at Dean curiously, because when had Dean started using the nickname?

"Anyway," Gabe said. "Where to now?"

Dean just kinda smiled and walked out of the room, into the main hall. It was close to dinner time, but the hall had been set up into a sort of mini theatre, with a big projector screen and couches and beanbags everywhere.

Dean then proceeded to run over and cannonball onto a beanbag.

"He is such a child," Gabe said.

"And?" Cas said, smiling fondly at Dean. Gabe just gave him an incredulous look and Sam sniggered.

"Don't get all sappy on us Cas," Gabe said, before walking off to sit on a beanbag near Dean, who was now starfishing on the beanbag. Cas gave Gabe a wide eyed look.

"You...know?"

"It's pretty obvious," Sam said, giving Cas a friendly pat on the shoulder before sitting in between Gabe and Dean. Cas just gave all three of them wide eyed looks.

"I'm...just gonna go outside for a bit," Cas said awkwardly, before almost running out of the room.

"Ah shit," Gabe said. "Must've been something I said."

"You think?" Sam said sarcastically.

"Why, what'd he say?" Dean asked. Sam just shook his head.

Gabe ran outside after Cas, who was now just looking at the slowly setting sun. "You okay bro?"

"Yeah," Cas said. "Just a little surprised."

"That we know about your little crush?"

"Yeah...do you think I jumped into this a little too fast?"

"Nah," Gabe said. "Five days. People have fallen in less."

"What if I'm just imagining things?" Cas asked, worry in his eyes. "And I do something stupid because of it?"

"Well," Gabe said. "Let's see. How do you feel around him?"

"Happy, warm...and I get this little fluttery feeling when he smiles at me."

"Yeah I'd say you're not imagining things."

"I guess..."

"Don't worry Cas, we support you in this."

"We?"

"Me and Sammy."

Cas paused for a moment, thinking. "You know, you certainly seem attached to Sam."

"What?" Gabe said. "Are you implying that I...I mean...I guess you have a point there. Haven't really thought about that."

Cas smirked.

"Hey wait a minute, when did you crush on Dean? Because if that was the reason you didn't want to sleep in the same room as me..."

Cas's eyes widened as his plan was revealed, and he sprinted back inside, followed by a chuckling Gabe.

~~

Dinner was served at some point, and by then it was dark. Everyone either gathered to watch the movie or went back to their cabins. Or went and ran around in the dark like idiots.

Dean, Cas, Gabriel and Sam were waiting for the movie, which Lucifer was setting up. Michael was watching him, and eventually went to sit near the other four, seeing as they were somewhat friends.

"Okay," Lucifer said as the movie finally turned on. "Success." As the movie started playing he ran over and sat on the same beanbag as Michael. Because they don't know what personal space is.

"Ship it," Gabe whispered to Sam while pointing at them. Sam laughed quietly before looking at the movie that had started playing. And then Gabe watched as Sam started to fangirl. "You okay there Sammy?" Gabe said, smiling widely.

"It's the Avengers. It's the goddamn Avengers."

"Language Sam," Dean said.

Gabe just laughed. "I take it you like Marvel?"

"Yeah," Sam said. "Definitely. Who wouldn't? I mean it's Marvel."

"Agreed," Gabe said.

So the movie played. Sam got so into the movie, his eyes wide and excited the entire time. At some point Gabriel decided that watching Sam was more interesting than the movie, and at that point in time decided that maybe, just maybe, Cas's theory was right.

Cas was pointing all the places which the movie lacked logic, like how the Avengers could always talk to each other despite not being in the same place. Dean just laughed at the confused Cas, and then at one point tackled him to shut him up. Cas did in fact stop talking, but Dean didn't move away, instead shifting so he still had one arm around Cas as the watched the rest of the movie. And we don't know what Dean was thinking because there has not been insight into his thoughts yet.

And meanwhile, Lucifer and Michael. They looked like a couple. Lucifer had an arm around Michael and Michael was curled up against Luci. It was quite common for them to sit like this when watching movies, so neither thought it weird. However Michael, being tired from running the camp, couldn't help falling asleep at one point, nuzzling against Lucifer. Luci just looked down at him with a small smile, despite knowing Michael would claim it was an accident when he woke up.

When the movie finished, everyone went back to their cabins. Dean moved away from Cas and didn't mention it again. Gabe happily listened to Sam rant about the movie, because it was one of the few times he was speaking a lot and Gabe was starting to quite like his voice.

And Lucifer gently picked up Michael bridal style, carrying him back to their cabin and putting him in bed. And maybe he kissed Michael on the forehead before going back to his own bed, but no one was around to know for sure.

~~

Well that went longer than expected. But hey, fluffiness :D And I realized I haven't really said what Dean feels towards Cas yet. But I have a Destiel plan :D

So I have to get up early tomorrow. How do I react to that? Stay up an hour later writing this chapter. I am a genius. That was sarcasm.

Anyone watch the first Shadowhunters episode?

*Gives you all Skittles* :P
